I will never use this shop again. Took a dress in to be hemmed on Wed. morning Oct. 11 for an event on Sat. Oct. 21. The seamstress asked for the date of our event and said to pick it up by 5 p.m. on Friday Oct 20. The store is closed on the weekend. I went to pick it up at 3 because 5 felt like was cutting it too close to closing time. She looked for the dress and said it wasn't hemmed yet! When I said the dress had been there over a week, she gave excuses--no other workers, she was busy and working hard, it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks, and that I shouldn't have come before 5 p.m. and shouldn't be so ugly about it.I was being civil to her but said she should have told me if there was a problem when I brought the dress in. I said I could wait. She told me I could take the dress as is or come back at 5, and again said I shouldn't be so ugly. So I said I'd be back at 5. At 3:27 she left me a message that I could pick up the dress, after I had driven home across town. When my daughter , granddaughter and I went to pick it up, the seamstress told my granddaughter she worked the dress in because of the event date. My daughter thanked her for doing so and said she looked busy. She responded that some people don't understand that. I took that as a reference to me. So don't try to pick up your item a minute early, no matter how long it's been at this shop, because she will wait until the last minute to do your alteration. read more

My go to stop when I need alterations, they can do really quick turnaround but it's best to give them a few days. We've always had really good luck with everything!! read more

Floored by the service I was greeted with!! I came in to meet my daughter to ask about her bridal skirt alteration (my daughter hadn't arrived yet) The owner asked if she had an appointment because she wanted to leave early this evening. (It was at least 35 prior to closing) I told her I didn't know if she had an appointment, this had been set up by my daughter, that she had been a prior customer and was hoping to get something altered, would be happy to make one if needed but at least wanted to ask some questions. "Well, when is the wedding???" "In a little over a week" I answered. I was then rudely asked why she waited til the last minute, and that she would not be able to do it, and why is she even coming. This place had done things for my daughter's military uniform in the past, very quickly, and this is where she wanted to bring this item to be altered because they had treated her well. She, nor I will be back AGAIN because of this rude interaction. I was unable to get the woman to even look at the garment to give a quote of cost or time. read more

This place has its hours listed as 9-6pm, so I rushed there after work, arriving at 5:22 to find the door locked but the lights still on. When I knocked, a woman answered and said that I can come back tomorrow at 9, and that it's time for her to go home. I explained about working and not being able to but she didn't care. I believe that a business which advertises itself as being open until 6 shouldn't lock their doors and turn people away before 5:30. Just change your hours if you won't help customers after 5:15, or whatever vague time she had locked the doors before I arrived more than 38 minutes before they closed. I had only needed a seem that had come unraveled on a quilt sewn closed and wanted to drop it off for whatever pickup date was convenient for her. They definitely lost my business. read more

I have had things tailored here in the past before and they did good work. However the last time I went here I had a horrible experience. I felt rushed and that I didn't the proper attention I needed. I had a dressed that was too big tailored. I knew I wanted it a little shorter but I didn't know how exactly I wanted it. When I went to pull the dress up from the bottom to show how I wanted it I was scolded as she told me just lift up from the top. Then as soon as I lifted it she barked at me to hold still so she could start pining without even looking at it or discussing the length. After getting the dress back I felt it was too short. It was cut completely in a straight line all around. The back was the same length as the front. I think as a tailor she should have known that that's a no no considering there's a butt back there. I want a tailor that's actually going to give their expertise on clothing not just rush me out the door like I'm doing them a favor even though I'm paying quite well for their services. That's anything her services are pricey which I wouldn't mind if they came with a good attitude. And also when I went to pick the dress up she seemed annoyed it was handed to me and I was rushed out the door. I was not even asked if I wanted to try it on or anything. I will not be going back there next time I need alterations I will find someone else. read more

Amazing work! This is the place to have clothes altered in Murfreesboro. Its conveniently located near the historic courthouse. Took an older favorite suit of mine that I havent been able to fit into for almost 10 years. Although I feared it was too late, Nana added 6 inches to my waistband and adjusted my jacket for a perfect fit. For just a few bucks I got a great suit that was sitting in my closet back in use. It looks sharp! Spoke with other customers that all said Nana and the shop are the best around. They will be doing more work for me. Ill definitely be back. Highly recommended. I am a very hard guy to please and although it started rocky with a late appointment things turned for the better. I had an appointment for a Friday morning at 9 and excited to experience a more fitted suit. However doors were closed for the first 30 mins of operating hours. At this moment I would have gave negative stars(if possible), however I decided to consider that something might have happened. I called around 9:45 and a lady picked up and invited me in. Turns out she tweaked her back and had a rough morning, a reasonable justification for the missed time. I had about 40 pieces of clothing that needed to be altered and Nonna helped tremendously! She gave me her ideas and opinions on my suits and treated as if I were her only client. I wanted my pants and slacks to be tapered slim for a fit look and she did an amazing job!
