Dry cleaning isn't in my repertoire but I wanted to help a friend clean some important items that had gotten ruined in the rain. So I looked on Yelp and found Royal Cleaners. I dropped the items which included a couple blankets, a leather jacket, some fancy men's clothing and a vintage hat. It was a LOT! But the service was five star.....everything looked perfect and since it was so heavy the gentleman walked it all out to my car for me. Never Ever Again. Shirts - still a mjstard stain on one, another cotton shirt uprpiced to $5 because half plaquet "golf shirt" but cotton just like other button down shirts, and WORST OF ALL my white poplin shirt had coffee spilled entirely across the front, apparently before being steam pressed, and the stain was then steam pressed into the shirt! had to throw it away. Found out when I went to put on one of the shirts 2 weeks later! On a sport jacket I was told a normal olive oil spill "would not come out." read more

I have given this place several opportunities before writing this negative review. The quality of the work is excellent. My concern is how they conduct business. They do not give notice of price changes or hidden charges: dry cleaning shirt after requesting washing only, and lately a credit card "service charge" that was implemented without disclosure. Interesting, i got a credit card receipt with one amount, and their extra charge was not reflected. If you want to continue to go there, make sure you ask for price changes or hidden charges BEFORE you leave your load, because you will not be reimbursed for their unannounced charges. I rarely ever use a dry cleaning service and especially not for pillows, so I don't know "going rates" but as much as I loved this little spot and even with the check in discount, it still seemed pretty pricing to me. I think I paid almost $30 for a fur pillow about 20". CON: Pricing PRO: Super friendly, clean environment, fast service (while dropping off, while it's getting cleaned, and at pick up), there's even a drive-thru pull up that is a sliding glass door. I needed a zipper put in a pair of shorts that were old but well loved. I purchased my own zipper at Joann's and sweet Mrs. Moon fixed them for me for only $14. My husband and I affectionately call this place "Thank You Ma'am" cleaners because the folks that work there are so appreciative of your business and always give you several enthusiastic "Thank you's". We've been using this cleaner for 6 years and have been nothing but delighted. They do a great job, are reasonably quick ( a couple days for routine service) and their prices are a LOT better than the cleaners closer to our home in Brentwood. It's a family owned business and they are always cheerful. They also have a drive through which can be very handy. We needed a cleaner for our son's dress shirts. Based on previous reviews and what turns out to be the most competitive price we chose Royal. We dropped off six shirts of which we would have easily said 3 couldn't be cleaned (terrible ring around the collar, oil food stains, and under arm discoloration), but we were willing to try anyway. VERY VERY BAD... STAY AWAY. W & D broke, brought in one month, $2,000, worth of clothing. Repeatedly requested no hot or warm water and low heat dryer. I emphasized that I was bringing them one month's worth of clothing and that I clearly did not want anything to shrink. I was met w/ smiles and "no problem". Once I picked up my clothes and tried on the first item...shrunk, tried on the second item...shrunk, tried on the third item...shrunk. EVERY SINGLE ITEM SHRUNK: 29 Munsigwear underwear, 23 Lands End Crew Shirts, 23 Nike Activewear Shirts, 21 Gold Toe Dress Socks, 19 Nike DryFit Workout Socks, 18 Lands End Exercise Shorts, 16 Champion Sweatshirts, and 2 Champion Sweatpants. I was told they can rewash it and the clothes will "spring back" to their correct size. I let them do this and my clothes did not "spring back" to their correct size. I even brought in brand new Munsingerwear underwear, Lands End shorts, and Champion sweatshirts and lay the new next to the shrunk to show the difference in size. But they could not "see" the difference. They refused to do anything. I asked them to at least replace the shorts. Again, they refused to do anything, stating the shorts look fine, the tight fit I am experiencing is "in my mind". Well unfortunately my only recourse is to dispute the charge w/ my credit card company and share my story on social media. As I stated earlier VERY VERY BAD...STAY AWAY!! read more
