This location is not closed! Brought a couple pairs of jeans here to get hemmed and had a good experience! I was a little apprehensive due to previous reviewers saying the woman that works there is rude but I didn't find her to be rude at all. Very sweet lady! Only took a week for my jeans to be done and wasn't too bad on the pricing, $22 each pair if I remember right which is probably standard pricing for the current economy. Will be back for future services if I need more alterations on my clothing! read more

They were suppose to take in the waist on my $150 brand new pants. They just bunched up the fabric, sewed the elastic and didn't even finish job. Horrible!!! They wouldn't give me money back I have to go pay someone else to fix them. All the reviews on their website can not possibly be from people who are customers that are having alterations done. read more

I was expecting attention to a large order, but the seamstress refused to do some tasks I needed. I've lost weight and required changes to some clothing which is very well-made and worth it to me to alter. So, I went elsewhere. This is a great alterations shop. He does everything! My very first time coming here, I brought him a quilt with a torn seem, jeans that needed taking in at the waste, pants with a loose hem, and I can't even remember what else. My point is that he does everything! He is very professional, is honest about how long it will take him to complete the alterations, and extremely fairly priced. Don't like to write reviews but I signed up for Yelp just to recognize this small alterations shop in Murfreesboro! This will probably be the only place I ever get ANYTHING altered for the rest of my life! I know it sounds crazy but the man has magic fingers or something. He really knows his stuff and is extremely meticulous at his work. I had a designer Reem Acra dress with more than 10 layers of organza material that he altered to fit my height of 5'8. The dress was entirely too long since it was designed for a model's height. He was able finish my dress in less than a week and on top of that added a simple bustle even though other alterations said it was impossible to do. Must admit, If you fear your dress will be ruined because its expensive, fear no more because this place will have it done so well you won't even realize it was altered in the first place! read more

This business is run by an extremely professional sweet man. He is a true craftsman. I brought him a baggy two-piece (High waisted skirt and top) taffeta bridesmaid dress that he turned into an absolute beauty. This dress had multiple pleats and was no simple job. I decided to go to prom last minute & I needed me dress altered & fast! I called everywhere & the only guy who would do it was this place. This guy is wonderful! He is a little rude, but I understood regarding the fact that I had asked to have something altered in 2 days. But not too horribly rude. Either way he got my dress altered & he even tightened up some loose pieces & added some snaps for support & for free. He made my prom wonderful & rememberable. I will recommend him to ANYONE who needs cheap alterations. Mine was last minute & 3 layers for $60. I stumbled upon this place after going to Alteration by Chris and didn't feel happy with her. I needed my bridesmaid's dress altered and she didn't want to mess with the side zipper and I knew that would make the dress look lopsided so I left. I'm so glad I found World Alterations. As soon as I met the owner, named He, I knew that this is the right place to be because he knew what he was doing. He said of course we have to take the zipper out (more difficult) or else the dress wouldn't look even. He is this little Korean man that may come off as not so friendly to others, but in reality he is very nice. He just doesn't say more than he needs to, but if you just joke around with him he would open up to you more. He is the best!! Had my Army ASU uniform altered from head to toe, ready to wear. Gentleman knew his regs verbatim, unlike other places that needed me to explain where everything went. Highly recommend this place for all your military alterations. One week turn around but did have to pay upfront, which I was hesitant at first.
