I went to get a pair of pants altered - they were not ready when I arrived for my appointment they had not even started my pants that I had dropped off over a week ago. When I finally received my pants 30 minutes later than my appointment time they had done nothing but cut one seam and put in not effort to further help me. I highly would not recommend Gabby's alterations for your typical day to day clothing. They are more concerned with their "brides". read more

We had a wedding vow renewal. I needed a hem and the arm holes made a little larger at the bottom. 1st trip - one arm hole 1.5 inches lower than the other. they also cut out the arm holes all the way around and followed the lace pattern instead of finishing the edges as it was originally. Gabby was not present and they tried to convince me they did not cut the arm holes that way. 2nd trip - Gabby was present and stated that they had to do the arm holes that way. They looked totally different, and when I pointed that out to her, she said the pattern is different from one side to the other. Well - whey did you cut it following 2 different patterns. 3rd trip - arm hole still too low on the left but amazingly they were able to finish the edges which contradicts "we had to do it that way". 4th trip - 2 days before ceremony - Gabby was not present. Necklline was crooked slightly where they brought up the dress on the side of the too low arm hole. Had to roll with it. Charged me $395 to go through this nightmare. NEVER EVER AGAIN! Although Gabby was very nice through the whole thing and tried to fix what was wrong, my dress did not look the way it was supposed to. read more

I needed my bridesmaid dress altered. I attempted to call multiple times/days in a row and left voicemail, no one would ever answer or call back. I attempted to show up and walk into the business a couple times, but they were never open. It was in the middle of business hours and no one was ever there to be seen. It's the work quality that was my issue and charging to fix the issue that was not our fault regarding uneven wrist . Pointed this issue out and said would fix but it never was corrected. We did not have time to run back up there for a third time because we were traveling out of country. We just made due with what we had. Not a happy customer. Next time we will try another seamstress that listens to our concerns and request and not charge us to fix something we had nothing to do with being corrected . read more

I went here for an alteration recently for a dress I ordered online that came and was HUGE on me. I was really worried! They had to do a lot of alterations and I expected it to be pricey but it really wasn't all that bad since they had to redo almost the whole dress. I can not thank Gabby enough for saving my wedding dress. I came in for the first fitting about three months before my wedding. She was a complete sweetheart, super caring and cheerful. She made the proper adjustments for my dress and I was on my way! I came in two weeks before my wedding and I had gained weight so my dress wasn't even close to zipping. From the very beginning, it was not a very good pleasant experience, we went the first time for my daughter to get her wedding dress and reception dress pinned to get altered. The next date that we were supposed to go in to have her try her dresses on and to pick up, they called an hour before her appointment time and said they had to cancel it. My daughter said a girl told her that she forgot about her dresses & her sister was in town. Needless to say, that completely freaked my daughter out. I called Gaby to let her know that was very unprofessional to just give an hour notice that it wasn't just the bride's time or my time or her bridesmaids, or the mother of the groom that we now all had to change our schedules .We had it moved to the following Wednesday at 5:30. I called and left a message two or three days before to make sure of the appointment at 5:30 and left a message. A few hours later a girl called me back and told us that we could come anytime.. and that they had my daughter down for the two days before Wednesday and I all I said was I'm not sure why you guys had her down because she didn't have an appointment set for then. The lady on the phone thought she had hung the phone up and she hadn't and I heard her say oh my god she's rude and then she hung up. I called back 15 or so minutes later to let them know. I did not appreciate that, but I was going to just come pick up my daughters dresses, and we will do our business somewhere else. Gaby, the owner got on the phone and apologized and long story short we went in yesterday evening. We all was under the understand that that especially since we had an appointment time, Then Gaby should've paid attention and given all her attention to the bride there was a whole lot that was not even fixed correctly at all. She rushed back & forth between my daughter & 4 other girls getting alterations. The bustle in the back was at least a foot higher than the whole front of her dress it did not look right, the buttons on the back of the dress when she hooked them they were completely crooked, so I'm not sure why she thought that was a good job because it definitely was not, not only that but the cups that was sewn inside The wedding dress was completely showing. There was parts of the sleeves that was baggy & bunched up. There was so many adjustments that was needed, it was as if she didn't do anything & what she did do was a hot mess.If it was just a couple of tweaks that needed to happen, I could've understood that, but there was like 50% or more of her wedding dress that had pins yet again all over it from where it was not fixed at all or what was fixed incorrectly. I called to let them know I was coming to pick up both dresses, that we was not satisfied at all that my daughter was crying yesterday evening standing there, And we just wanted to pick her dresses up and take our business somewhere else. When I got there, She had the nerve to try to still charge me the full entire price which was completely ridiculous. She kept offering to fix it & I told her at this point we don't trust that. This is been a complete nightmare. This truly has been the worst experience in all the many many times I've had garments altered. read more

I went to Gabby's with a bridesmaid dress that I ordered online and did not fit AT ALL. It was multiple sizes too big on top and was very unflattering. She did a fantastic job making the dress as flattering as possible (and it is not a particularly flattering dress) and was able to get it done quickly as I procrastinated ordering the dress and the wedding is fast approaching.
