I was pretty upset, as I am new to town, and don't know anyone here. He was very helpful in helping me find an after-hours car rental, and referring me to shops nearby that could help me. Having to call a tow truck is not a pleasant experience, but I've had to call for one twice in the last couple of months and both times it was A&A. The first time, it was self-pay and I had found A&A through a google search and subsequent yelp research. I got Mike who was friendly and efficient. This tow company came out and loaded the truck up, my shaken up fiancé asked if she rides with him with the truck or what she is supposed to do. He responds by saying she has to ride with him because she is so pretty, along with other harassing comments. This guy was a complete creep. Most unprofessional towing company I've ever been to. Called at 8AM which is opening time on weekdays to ask about an auction they were holding. The lady who answered told me to call back at 11:00 and when I did that she said come to the 4th Street location at 11:30 to find out what cars were being sold at this location. First I just want to say the only reason they are getting one star is because I cannot give zero stars. By far the worst towing experience ever. I called a week in advance to schedule the tow because it was time sensitive. On the day of the scheduled tow they were late, I called 10 minutes after the scheduled time to be told there was a police emergency. My thoughts were - Ok, but don't you have more than one tow truck or couldn't you have called to let me know so I could make necessary arrangements or phone calls. When they did finally show up, I was towed to where I needed to be, fine. My mechanic cannot get me taken care of now because I am 2 hours later than expected so I will have my car back next week sometime. He went above and beyond to help and called Mark who drove from home with the right tools to help. Don't use this place if you get in a wreck and need a tow! My 19 year old had an accident and this company towed the truck to their yard. The truck was not in their possession for more than 24 hours. 19 to be exact. The bill was $411. for what??? You towed a car and kept it overnight!!! Behind a chain link fence not much bigger than a backyard. If I didn't use them to tow the truck to an auto body shop, they were going to charge me $50. For a "set out fee" ummm so you were going to unlock your fence?? Highway robbery!!!! The office is disgusting too. Hire a cleaner with all the money you got from me.... As I write this, I am sitting in my car, while it's freezing outside and dark, waiting for a tow from A&A. I have been waiting over 2 hours for this tow. I have never had to wait this long for a tow..even while stuck over the pass or all the way in Virginia City. When I call, I am told it will be another 15 minutes. If my insurance wasn't handling this and I hadn't waited so long already, I'd be calling another company...as this is unacceptable when I was originally told they would be here in 30 minutes. The woman in the office quite clearly was on some sort of drug and she was down right mean, looked like her eyes were going to pop out of her head and didn't blink once. Finally get done dealing with the office and left with reassurance our vehicle would be ready when we got to their Stead lot. Get to Stead nobody is around. Finally find a tow truck driver, but had to wait 10 minutes for him to finish his personal phone call before he would deal with us. Come to find out our vehicle is not ready and there is other vehicles in front of it that have to be moved (towed) to get to ours. It's not often that one gets to write such a glowing review of a tow truck company. I locked the keys in my rental car and Alamo dispatched A&A towing to come save the day. You can imagine my racing anxiety as I had a flight to catch at 6:30am. Their driver, and sorry I forgot your name, showed up FAST! He was very nice! And he had the car unlocked in less then 5 minutes and I was on my way to the airport. As annoying as this is, A & A Towing managed to make it significantly less so. A & A Towing is the company that my insurance company's roadside assistance program sent my way. I was told that it would take 30-45 minutes for them to arrive and was pleasantly surprised when, instead, I had a call from the technician in under 20 minutes letting me know that he was just a couple minutes away. The gentleman who arrived was very friendly and professional, and even apologized for the wait before having me back in my car in just seconds. Honestly, I expect dealing with any kind of roadside assistance to be an irritating process. So, to have it instead be a minor hiccup in my day makes me a very happy customer. read more

Incredibly unprofessional in every sense of the word. If you're visiting Nevada, spare yourself the trouble and find another tow truck company. Geico sent me to them because my car broke down while someone else was using it while I was out of town. The dispatcher named Sara was not only rude but she barely does her job correctly and is even unprofessional about it. She has no filter which I can sometimes respect coming from a woman but in a professional setting, I expect you to conduct yourself in a professional manner. They left my car at the mechanic on a Sunday where the shop was obviously closed so the driver was instructed to leave my key in the mail slot but ended up leaving the key in the car instead which is a perfect place to leave a key so someone could steal the car. The driver or dispatcher never called me back to tell me where the car or the keys were and my mechanic called me in a panic because he couldn't find my car nor the keys since he was expecting it in his shop. The driver also accidentally left his phone with the driver of my car and not only did they accuse them of stealing his phone but also threatened to put my car in impound if the phone wasn't returned back within the hour. YOU TOOK THE CAR AWAY FROM THEM and IT'S YOUR PHONE. If you were stupid enough to not remember to take your phone back, how is it considered stealing? read more

My dad's van was stuck near the Truckee Forest Hospital on his way back from Reno tonight during one of the worst winter road conditions ever. AAA refused to help and every local tow company told me ETA is at least 8 hours or not till the next morning. I was at the end of my wits until I got a call from my dad, saying that three A & A tow trucks passed by to answer another call. He asked them to help and they agreed like it was no big deal. They got his van out of the snow, helped him with the chains and sent him on his way safely. They were friendly and expertly did their job while everyone was in distress with the ridiculous road closures and accidents. I've had to get my car towed 3 times in the last couple months due to engine problems. The first time was covered under my insurance and they told me they would be there in 30 minutes. I live on the south side of reno 89511 by damone ranch parkway and they got to me in 22 minutes. The second two times was not covered under my insurance and I didn't have to pay an obscene amount to get my car towed. I used A&A towing to move a Dune Buggy under repair from the repair shop to my home until I could get the Buggy registered and licensed. In particular I asked for "Vince" to tow my vehicle since he had done so twice before. Excellent service and great job. I highly recommend Vince if you need some road help. In the last case he actually moved my tow ahead of two others since the others were not customer attended and were not urgent. I really appreciated that on his part. No question a 5 star company, I work for a roadside company, and I called several 24hr towing companies to provide service for a customer at Crystal Peak in CA. without a detailed accurate location. I provided Dillon with Dog Valley road, and another cross street. He located the down vehicle as it was run off the road, two flat tire, and in a ditch ( the ditch was unknown at the time of dispatch.) It was getting late and cold, and he actually located, rescued the two customers, and their vehicle. He then called our company back, and out of over 1,000 plus employees I get the call back. To find out they were in a ditch, and we needed to dispatch another vehicle to winch the vehicle out. My hat off to Dillon and his company, true hero's!!!!!
