I had an amazing experience at a&be bridal!! I had already gone to another wedding shop and had an idea of what I wanted but my stylist Hannah blew my expectations out of the water. She was so fun and knew exactly what I wanted/would look good in. It was really nice that I could browse their Pinterest options and even share my own Pinterest board so they had an idea of what I liked before my appointment. I honestly loved all the dresses I tried on, but I knew the second I put on my dress that it was the one. Hannah helped me feel comfortable and confident. I am a bit hesitant to write this because I am buying my dress here, but don't have it yet. I went to 5 or 6 different bridal shops and this was one of the least pleasant experiences. The sales associates were friendly, and the shop and dresses are pretty. They have a good selection of less bedazzled dresses than other shops. Their sample dresses were in the worst condition of any other shop. They are covered in makeup, dirty, ripped, no cups despite some being completely sheer. Luckily I wore nipple covers to my appointment. We weren't offered any water or anything which other shops do. That's fine, but they are also the only place that charges $25 per appointment. When I purchased the dress I asked if the $50 I spent on the appointments goes towards the purchase. It does not. At the second appointment I was really only there to try on "the dress" again. I did end up trying on one other dress. I had asked to see some veils as well but that didn't happen. Some of the other shops I had been to showed me some accessories and what the dress would look like styled, this place did not. This made it a bit harder to really picture what it will look like on the big day. I ended up saying 'yes' 'to the dress anyway. They did offer sparkling juice in celebration, but said they couldn't provide champagne because they city wouldn't allow it. We had champagne at two other bridal shops a couple days before- also in Minneapolis. The weirdest part though, and maybe I'm misreading the situation, when I paid for the dress the card reader machine suggested a percentage tip. While the percentage was kind of nominal 1%, 2%, etc all of the words were in Asian characters so I couldn't read anything on the screen other than the percentages. My friend was able to switch it over to english for me but I was so thrown off that I just stared at it for awhile. It really just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it was an accident or maybe I tapped something to change it to the other language, who knows. read more

Such a great experience. You have to make an appointment ahead of time but masks are now optional and you get to have four friends or family come along. They have three areas where your group can be and each area has it's own dressing room and couch. You can bring champagne or snacks but be mindful of the dresses. My stylist chatted with me about the style and look I was going for. They then showed me options in my price range and asked what I liked and didn't like. From there we chose about 8 dresses to work through and narrowed it down to my top 3. I was able to make a follow up appointment for August when other friends are back in town. Let's be honest, I am a terrible shopper. The idea of shopping for a wedding dress was terrifying. I finally bit the bullet and made three appointments in Minneapolis on a Saturday and one appointment on Sunday. The first place I thought to make an appointment was a&be because I had only heard wonderful things, despite the fact you have to pay $25 for your appointment. When you make an appointment, it lets you know that a dedicated stylist will be calling you for a pre-appointment consultation. I never received a phone call, only a call to confirm I was still coming. a&be was our second stop on Saturday, and I had a good feeling going into the appointment. I got the anxiety and unknown out of me at my first appointment. When we arrived we were greeted by our stylist and we walked around and looked at dresses and I said either I liked or I didn't like. I finally got into some dresses and was very disappointed in the quality of the dresses for the price. There was hardly any material and everything was an "upgrade" or "additional fee". Many of the dresses didn't have any liners or pads. After only kind of liking one dress, we decided to end the appointment early. As we were walking out the door, my guests told me my stylist was cross to them. They had asked if I could try on a dress that was on the sale rack and the stylist said no, because it is sold "as-is". They asked if I could see a belt on a dress and she said no, only if it was the dress I really liked. My future mother in law was looking at a dress and my stylist walked past her and said that is out of your budget. I AM MORTIFIED! All in all - I felt very disappointed during the appointment but I am frustrated with the way my family was treated when I was in my room. read more

The service is amazing while you are shopping but beware after your purchase. My daughter had a short engagement so there were a lot of (understandable) "rush fees." Because her engagement was short she called to find out when her dress might come in. The salesperson who answered said she didn't have record of the order. It took a manager THREE days to call her back to say the dress had been ordered. We also bought a custom dress (measurements of breast, waist and hips). We were told customizing a dress would cut down on alterations. The dress came too small and cost my daughter $900 dollars in alterations. I called to see if there was anything they could do and no one called me back. I would be leary about recommending this company. We dealt with the store in Minneapolis AND Denver so it seems to be a company-wide policy not to give good service after the purchase. read more

What made our appointment so special was our bridal stylist Macy. She was so attentive, caring and supportive during the whole process. Unfortunately, we were not impressed and had a poor experience. Their process was very restrictive. No one but the consultants were allowed to handle the dresses. The dresses were considerably dirtier than at other salons. The space in here Al wasn't very clean, especially the carpet in our main fitting space. They would only bring 1 dress at a time for our bride to try on so she stood waiting for quite a bit of the 90 min appointment. They wrote down the ones our bride wanted and didn't seem to bring all of them. The dresses they chose for her were not a good fit with her style either. The worst though were the attitudes of the consultants. More than at any other place we visited, the whole time we felt we were being "sold". They were pushy and didn't listen to the bride. Had the MOST amazing experience at a&be! Let me start by saying; buying a wedding dress is no easy feat for an indecisive, anxiety driven, ever changing her mind, girl. I had been to multiple stores and found many beautiful dresses that were almost perfect but still not the right now. We ended up going to A&Be on a whim yesterday afternoon and were greeted by Claire. Right off the back Claire made me comfortable and reassured me that there was NO pressure and said "WHEREVER the right dress may be". THIS gave me a HUGE sigh of relief, as I often felt pressured at other stores and was even told "don't be so scared" at another. Claire was the opposite!!! She was absolutely wonderful, she listened to what I was liking and not liking at previous stores... she understood my vision SO WELL that the FIRST dress She had me try on.... Was the ONE! Both my mom and I knew it. I still tried on other dresses, which were all Beautiful! But I kept going back to number one. I am so happy to be an a&be bride!!! However they only allow 2 guests per appointment, which seems ridiculous to me. Her other two guests had to stand outside the window of the store even though we were the only ones in the large space. This was made even more ironic considering they have a sign that says "all are welcome here" -- evidently not! My sister's attendant also wouldn't go in to the dressing room to help her change. This was probably COVID-related but cmon, she can't put on the dress by herself! Overall, the dress she got was beautiful and so studying. Our stylist was very kind and laid back. This was the second place I went and the dresses were definitely more my vibe. Sheridan was AMAZING and so kind. I highly recommend working with her. She was so helpful and really listened to what I wanted. I found my dress pretty quickly, although I did have some dresses in mind I knew were at the store I wanted to try (if you visit their Pinterest, they keep a pretty up-to-date inventory list of the dresses they have!) They also made dress pick-up seamless and so easy. I loved how communicative they were with me through the entire process. However, I did notice this shop to be a little less clean then the first shop I visited (this was my second). The first bridal shop made us take off our shoes, wipe down our hands so the gowns didn't get dirty and even made me, the bride trying on the dresses, wash my hand one last time before I tried on dresses. They also made an effort to make sure my guests weren't going around touching all of the gowns. I thought this was great, especially during COVID. The dresses at a&bé were a little bit more worn, had spray tan residue etc. But I still loved every bit of my experience! read more

I had the best experience at a&be bridal working with Molly F. I was anxious and excited anticipating the dress shopping experience but it couldn't have gone better. I booked a&be as my first out of 3 appointments because I loved the selection of their designers (esp. Made with Love, Madi Lane, Rose+Williams by Tara LaTour, and Wtoo), they carry a ton of options that fit my budget ($1500 - $3000), and they had great reviews. The salon is absolutely gorgeous and definitely a place where you want to shop for a dress. I had a designated area to try on dresses including a fitting room, a large floor length mirror, and enough seats for my 3 girls to watch me. There was plenty of room between different brides trying on gowns - I couldn't even see them. Molly F was my bridal consultant and I couldn't have asked for someone better for the job. It helped that I sent them a list of styles I was interested in but she also gave great suggestions as well based on this. I had so much fun trying on different dresses and Molly continued to give me great advice and pointers on selecting my dress. Within the first 3 dresses that I tried on I knew I found the one. When I knew I found the dress they walked me up to the large mirror in the front that had a beautiful floral arrangement from the ceiling. I cried when I saw myself in the mirror. After I said "YES" to the dress, Molly treated myself and the bridal crew to champagne. I ended up canceling my next two appointments because I knew there was no point after finding the dress. Throughout the entire process of calling for questions or booking an appointment, the staff at a&be bridal they were very pleasant to work with. I also appreciated that they reached out to me two weeks before my appointment to ask me about the styles I was interested or if I had any questions. A week before my appointment I sent them the dress styles I was interested in and they had every dress in stock. They also triple checked my measurements for my dress size. I had a gut feeling that a&be would be where I would find my dress. I highly recommend shopping for your dress here!! read more

We showed up a half hour late (time miscommunication) which my party took full accountability for. We still stayed within our time limit. However, we felt like we were not taken seriously and the saleswoman didn't show much interest in my wants and needs. Our original attendant vocalized she was going on break during the middle of our fitting and switched out with another attendant . This made me feel VERY uncomfortable. I also had very little positive encouragement or comments made from staff, defiantly not a welcoming environment. We heard new guests entering who had a nice introduction, bummer we didn't get that! I also asked at the end of my session what the price of a particular dress was and was told to "look at the paper", yikes! They had some beautiful dresses but the overall lack of enthusiasm and kindness from the staff really dimmed the experience. I was so excited to go to A and Be as my first appointment trying on wedding dresses. If you are looking for dirty sample dresses filled with makeup, impolite and degrading staff members, and small selection of sizes to try on, this is the place for you. I was taken around by my stylist to go over styles and designers I wanted to try on. She wrote down the styles I liked and I was only brought in 6 dresses to try on. My stylist would only bring one dress in at a time, which I thought wasted a lot of time in our appointment. The carpet in the fitting room was very dirty, which is unimpressive in my opinion, especially knowing the cost of these dresses. While trying on dresses, my stylist said I was very limited due to my size and unfortunately a lot of the styles I wanted to try wouldn't come close to fitting. After that, I honestly found a dress that I wanted to say yes to, but after this experience, I found another retailer outside of the twin cities to purchase the dress. I honestly didn't feel special, important, or like my opinion was heard at all in this 90 minute appointment. There's also a $25 appointment fee as well, which I didn't have to pay at other retailers in Minneapolis. My stylist really didn't give any feedback, she just stood there and said if I didn't like something, the designer could change it for a fee. Fortunately, my experience at Flutter was amazing, so I was able to experience the joy and happiness that one should feel while trying to find their dream wedding dress. A and Be has a lot of great designers, but regarding the experience and staff, I wouldn't recommend it to any future brides. read more

I was so excited to try on dresses here but after the experience I was so disappointed and felt gross. My consultant was very hyper and over the top. She didn't help with the anxiety of wedding dress shopping. The dresses were filthy and smelly. I couldn't wait to shower once I left. My consultant also was very rude about when my mom would suggest a dress to try on. It seems like my consultant would only let me try on dresses she picked for me. At one point she refused to let me even try on a dress that I had picked out. She snapped on me and my bridal party and gave us so much attitude. It made it extremely uncomfortable. I get why this shop would feel great to some brides. If you have a tough family, whose opinions you don't care for, who you're bringing with you just out of obligation, and who you actually want to keep at arm's length during your search for a dress: this place'll be your jam. If you're not in that category, this place is not fun. The entire concept of the shop is structured around your assigned stylist. The schtick is: your stylist will immediately intuit your perfect dress from their inventory after a quick conversation with the bride. This concept has real consequences. If you show up with a posse who's excited to help you look at dresses and suggest things, or if you actually want the opinions of your crew, this place will do everything it can to keep that from happening because it interferes with the stylist. When we arrived, we were told explicitly (and kind of rudely) not to touch the dresses, and not to look through them, because our stylist would take care of that. The stylist took her time coming to meet us, and didn't introduce herself to the crew. She immediately honed in on my sister- the amazing, gorgeous, and polite bride- and they walked through a couple of things before the stylist put m'sister into the dressing room and started just handing her stuff. If you, or your bride, is a super-kind, polite, Minnesotan-to-the-core wonderful person like my sister, she will not feel comfortable saying "That shit is ugly. Bad choice" because the whole schtick of this experience is showing off how friggin smart the stylist is, and how in tune with you they are. If they pick something wrong, it puts the bride in the horrible position of having to say, "Um, no. Nope, nope, nope." This may be easy for some women. For most women I know, it's not. And for that, I'd say this place falls to the bottom of my list for bridal boutiques in the Cities. read more

This shop is NOT your typical 'take a number' bridal store. It has a high-class boutique feel with dresses that fit a variety of budgets. When you make your appointment, you are assigned a stylist to exclusively help you, which is a step up from most places! Rebecca was my stylist and picked out dresses for me within my budget only. Kind of a bummer, they don't really allow you to peruse the selections, it almost feels like that is discouraged? The stylist handles getting all of the dresses for you. I wasn't finding the style that I liked, so I tried to look at some other dresses on the rack and that felt very awkward. Maybe that strategy is to 'save you from yourself'...because let's be honest...you'll probably fall in love with one that is 5x your budget! They might be doing you a big favor. It's also nice to not fly blind and paw through a million dresses randomly grabbing ones to try on as the wedding haze sets in. The dresses here are unique. I wanted a 'Boho' feel & they totally had dresses to fit the bill. They also have the beautiful Katie May (backless) dresses that I was way too curvy for...I laughed as I tried to slip one on. Nope, not for my cake-loving figure. A girl can dream. I loved that the customer service is VERY VERY personal...you won't feel like a number at this store. Rebecca was very patient, kind and knowledgeable with all of my questions. She had suggestions for accessories (which are quite pricey here, and I bought on etsy instead). They take the time to really offer feedback and answer questions as you try on each dress. I went with a Truvelle gown & it was beautiful. We had champagne to celebrate finding 'the one' & that was a nice touch. One big bummer is the lack of parking. They have a few reserved spots in back that were always full when I stopped by, so I needed to pay for parking at a confusing stand. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at a & be and would recommend checking it out if you're looking for personalized service & unique dresses. read more

When you walk in DO NOT touch their merchandise, they scolded my mother. Also, they will ask you what dresses you like. They may let you try on one out of the serval of the dresses you chose. They will pull random dresses for you which probably will not reflect your wishes or be flattering for your shape. Do not bother trying to direct they type of dresses they bring you, do not bother giving them input on the dresses they bring you, do not bother giving them your business. If you give them input on the random dresses they bring. They will take your opinion and bring you the opposite of what you want. Also good luck getting them to stay in your budget. They have a lot of beautiful merchandise. They will not let you touch or try on said good merch. You will have a better time in the discount section of David's Bridal, stuck to there. read more

My experience at a&be was one I would wish for every bride. Kristen was welcoming, helpful, personable, not pushy, and seemed to actually care about finding me the perfect dress. I was treated as an individual and not a cookie cutter bride to be. The store is also designed so well. It feels open an inviting. Each customer gets their own changing room, mirror, and seating area. While their selection of dresses is smaller than some places, they have picked a wide range of exquisite dresses to sell. Compared to the other dress shop I went (a highly reputable one at that), a&be won hands down on their staff, environment, and selection. If I could give this store & the ladies working here more stars I t o t a l l y would. I came to a&bé after two previously failed appointments at other local shops. I had a particular dress in mind, which I was told the store of my first appointment carried, but found out was just online upon arriving, & the second appointment store just wasn't really my style. I contacted a&bé to possibly try on the dress that I couldn't get out of my head, just to rule it out as an option or jump for joy if it was "the one." From the moment I called them they were pleasant & accommodating. I worked with Jordan & Becca via email to special order the sample of a Hayley Paige dress in to try on. Fast forward about a week or so & the dress is about to arrive. We have set an appointment for me to come in the evening it arrives. However, life threw a monkey wrench (of course!) into those plans & I ended up being scheduled to work on a day I normally have off. Becca co-ordinated with me via email to come in moments after it arrived, so I could make it to work in time. It ended up being "the one" & I enjoyed twirling around their beautiful store in my dream dress, drinking champagne with my mom. I didn't want to leave, or take off the sample. :) I can't wait to go back in a few short weeks to try on my dress. (!!!) They don't have in house alterations but give you plenty of suggestions & insider tips on where to go locally.
