There were many other cars and trucks stuck here overnight as well. The rest stop manager, Ethan, was a life saver. He made sure that everyone had food and warmth and continuously salted and shoveled the walkways. He kept us updated on the storm and the conditions of the road and kept spirits high!! They even have a mammoth skeleton and a little prop archelogist dig site. So cool! They've got videos you can select and watch about the history of Wyoming. My kids loved the little jail that had a slide to get out of. Bathrooms were very clean. They have shaded picnic tables outside too. A great spot to come to stretch your legs and start your visit in Wyoming. I would even say just visit even if you are not needed to take the rest stop.

There's also ample shade & space for picnics, pet relief and strolling (tho, apparently you may share thst space with a rattlesnake or 2 or 3 or... anywho) The ladies room was smelling a bit rough. The hubs said the men's room was fine so it may have just been from a recent visitor that skipped the courtesy flush or perhaps a diaper in the can. (?) Overall, a good stop for us as we needed to empty bladder and fill water bottles.

Plenty of parking for 18-wheelers, cars, and campers, with a large restroom area (with family restroom). Yet the surprise of this fairly remote rest stop in the middle of BFE, Wyoming was the gas station across the street yet relatively in the same area as the rest stop. Why go anywhere else for gas or eats? Cheyenne is 45 miles away, followed by Denver at 145 miles. By comparison, Casper is 133 miles in the opposite direction, followed by Sheridan, WY and Billings, MT (Billings is 333 miles away). There really isn't too many good rest stop areas to take a breather in- possibly the larger one in Sheridan, which has hotels and gas stations around it. Traveling at night on this stretch of I-25 at night can be challenging. If you are tired and slightly fatigued when traveling either direction in between Cheyenne and Casper, bookmark this rest area. Well worth the stop.

While we were inside, we noticed a kitchen in the back that looked surprisingly legit authentic big pots, real equipment, and what looked like a family running the whole operation. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We got to chatting and learned the place was run by a Sikh family. The kitchen smelled amazing, and after seeing how authentic everything looked, we figured we'd give it a shot. Normally, Indian food from a truck stop in rural Wyoming isn't something I'd experiment with knowing I still had 6-7 hours of travel ahead of me to get home, but this place completely blew us away. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, and my buddy got the butter chicken with plain naan. Both came out piping hot in about 10 minutes. The flavors were incredible, rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Honestly better than a lot of places I've had in bigger cities. I ended up scarfing mine down while driving to the airport because it smelled too good to wait. I'm pretty particular about Indian food and usually don't eat it much outside of places like London, but this was fantastic. If I'm ever passing through that area again, I'll absolutely stop back and probably grab multiple plates. One of those unexpected road-trip food wins you don't forget.
