First visit the technician had attitude and didn't even bother to look at the machine properly, consequently on the second visit they brought the wrong part, third time they were scheduled, I took the day off work and they just didn't show up, fourth time they forgot to put me on the schedule when they said they had (another wasted day off work) and 5th time today they promised to show up at 10am and it's now the end off the day and they bailed AGAIN, giving me some pathetic excuse that was probably a lie. Horrible service!!!!!! I set an appointment with them through Frigidaire. My appointment was for Tuesday 8/15/23 and window was from 12 to 4. they never showed so i called them. They lady tried to tell me they tried calling me three time, which is impossible. I had no missed calls and I was waiting for them ALL day. After I get off the phone with them, they sent me a text message saying the technician will be there in 42 mins at 6:42 pm to make look like they did what they were supposed to do. I don't like people treating me like i'm stupid. I make a new appointment for Thursday 8/17 from 8 to 12. They never showed again and no miss calls at all. I REALLY HOPE FRIGIDAIRE CANCELS THEIR CONTRACT. If the technician got to busy or something I can understand that shit happens sometimes but don't act like you doing your job when people can obviously see that you are not. If you have the time and patience to take a day off and have A&D come and not fix your appliance, and a week to waste on them having no follow-through or competence, then by all means go for it. Otherwise skip ahead to you calling them a week later and having them tell you "that parts are at least another week out, maybe more" and "you should get a different repair service" and just hire a repair service that's capable and responsible. read more

Terrible Service. DO NOT USE THEM. I would give them a 0 if I could. I was having warranty repair on my oven, and was told by the mfg that this is the company they use. They scheduled an appointment promptly, but gave me a 5 hour window. So today, my scheduled day, I called to ask where I was in the line up - I understood they could not give me a time, just tell me if I am among the first or the last. I was told to call back later. I did, and the woman told me she had to call the dispatcher. Every time I called, I was placed on hold for several minutes before they initiated any conversation. The woman then said she couldn't reach the dispatcher, but would call me back. No call back. 3 hours later, I called, she put me on hold, and again gave me no answer. No call back. A technician called my cell to tell me he was on the way and if I didn't call back in 10 minutes, he was not coming. Somehow I missed the call, but I got the phone message and called back 8 minutes after he called. He did not answer the call, so I immediately called the home office. I was put on hold again, before they ever spoke to me, then, when the same woman finally picked up the phone, she told me it was past 10 minutes. I told her I'd just been on hold for 5! She said the technician was not coming. Did not even ask about rescheduling. When I told her that was not acceptable, that I could be the last service call of the day, since they had already allotted time for my service call, she put me on hold without saying anything. I held on for 17 minutes, then gave up. How does a company stay in business with this kind of service??? I will NEVER use them for anything. Like many of the other reviews on here, A&D was the service provider that Frigidaire sent to us. We have had over 5 visits in the last several months from A&D for our microwave, which have never happened in the time window they provided. They even took the microwave to their shop to "fix" it. They returned the microwave saying it was unrepairable but never communicated that to Frigidaire. It is still not resolved. If you have the choice, do not use this company. read more

I called this company as they were they were the closest that came up on our refrigerator manufacturer's website. The lever on the water dispenser snapped which we figured would be a simple fix. It was easy enough when I first called to schedule a time for them to come out to do the repair, however it took several requests for the person on the phone to check if they had the part in stock and have the service person bring it with the instead of A&D sending someone to my house for $109 to look at the refrigerator, and then come back a second time for another $109 to replace the part. On the day they were first supposed to do the repair, I got a call at 3pm from the repair person that he was running late (my window was 12 to 4) but he would absolutely be there that day. He didn't call back, didn't show up, and when I called the company a few days later (they never contacted me again) they told me to reschedule the repair. On the second day they were supposed to do the repair, the repair person called my wife before going to our house, however told her was going to change the ice maker. When my wife told him this was not what we needed done, he said he would go back to the store and they would contact us to confirm they had the part. I spoke with the store, and they said they didn't have the part and I would need to wait for them to order it and reschedule repair. They called the next week to schedule the repair and I asked to speak to a supervisor as I wanted to ensure they had the job listed correctly and discuss having the $109 trip fee waived. I was told this was no problem and to call the owner back that afternoon. When I called, I was told he was on the road and wouldn't be in that day but would call me the next morning. He did not and still has not contacted me or returned my calls, however they did have time to run my credit card for $330 to replace a piece of plastic on the water dispenser ($109 for the trip fee, $75 for 30 minutes of labor, and $120 for a part that sells for $76 online, plus tax). This was a really unfortunate experience, and I would advise seeking any other options you have for your appliance needs. read more

I would give 0 stars. Terrible customer service. They were the subcontractor for Lowe's sent out to look at my LG fridge. Took several attempts for them to finally uphold the initial appointment. Never any communications and several no shows. Tech finally came and diagnosed as a bad evaporator fan but it will be several days for the part to come in. Fine. A month later they finally call to say the part is in. Great, picked a date and a four hour window. 3 hours into that window they finally call to say they can't make it today. WTF? Fine, give me your first early morning. Saturday. Fine, 8-12. 10AM, no word so I called them. Tech says he'll be there by 11 and will call before then. I'm typing this at 12:35 and nothing. Called Lowe's to send out someone else so hopefully they actually can fix it on time. Stay away from this place like the plague. read more

I purchased a dish washer from Lowe's about 8 months ago. unfortunately there have been some issues with it. I called their setv center and they had sent me to A & D appliance repair. The day that my the tech was dispatched to my home he came 35 mins late. He walked in to my home with muddy shoes and did not bother to but on shoe booties. He proceeded to tell me that the the washer was fine and it was my cabinet that was the issue. I proceeded to advise him that the dish washer was pulled slightly out for the technician to fully remove the washer to be looked at. he told me that he was not able to pull it out and he will be docked from his pay if he broke anything. fast forward I called back to the locat to schedule another appointment to have a tech come out (as I would have to have my husband pull out the dishwasher from the location of the cabinet) the woman said she would have a manager call me back.. I did not request to speak to a manager. fast forward to today... I called back and spoke with the woman that I spoke with yesterday. she sent me over to a "manager" named Andrew... I exp to Andrew the situation and he proceeded to advise me that I was dumb, and that I interfered with his nap time. He told me that I was speaking to him like a dog and I was a"Karen Bitch" he told me he signed the paychecks and that he was the "_Fucking owner" I literally have the call recording and will be forwarding the call to the BBB. I literally only called with a proper tone (as a regular customer) to get another tech out to my home who could look at my dishwasher when it was fully pulled out of the cabinet. mind you (when they called to confirm my appointment) they never advised that the dishwasher needed to be fully pulled out and ready to be worked on or it would have been. I'm actually surprised that this company is still in business. my husband called this Andrew back and this MAN had a very different tone.... never again will I ever deal with this company!!! he spoke to me like I was a pile of dirt! Appliances break down but A&D was great. Called my extended warranty company on Friday for a broken LG Washer that was not draining. They dispatched it to A&D (Fairfield office?). Spoke to A&D on Monday they came out the next day as promised. They even had the parts needed and fixed it, cleaned up and left - done no problem. I wish the extended warranty company would use them more because I have had other service companies come for other appliances and took forever to schedule, had to come back after ordering parts, came again without parts.... I wish I check yelp before calling..........sad LG has limited repair places in my area........ When having problems with my 2 year old LG washing machine, I reached out to A & D Appliance Service. They were listed as an authorized LG repair company and while the machine was no longer under warranty, the parts for the error codes I was receiving were. I explained the two error codes, one was for the drum and the second was for the water sensor which was causing the water to reach the top of the machine, possibly leaking as there was a small amount of water on the floor. At 1:01 p.m. (I have the Ring video camera), the technician arrived. My husband showed him to the laundry room and went upstairs to get our son to eat lunch. When he came back down, the gentleman was gone. He assumed he went to his vehicle for parts and would be back. When he did not return, he called the phone number the gentleman called from when he arrived. It went to voicemail. He waited over an hour for the man to return and he never did. He had no idea he even turned the machine on. According to my Ring he arrived at 1:01 p.m. and left at 1:09 p.m., my husband left at 2:12 p.m. I returned home at 6:36 p.m. to find the washing machine flooding the laundry room, bathroom and basement. I immediately shut off the water to the washing machine and called a couple people to ask how to handle and then called my insurance company. A & D is refusing to accept any responsibility and will not submit my claim to their insurance company. How could the repairman determine there was nothing wrong with the machine in less than 8 minutes? That was not even enough time for the machine to fill (or maybe he would have noticed it did not stop). Why would he not even attempt to collect the service call fee? Had I not explained the problem with the washing machine and the error codes I was receiving that would have been one thing. If I tell you the water sensor and drum were shot and you send someone who turns the machine on and leaves, without any communication whatsoever, that is not only unprofessional but also liable in my opinion. My first stop is Yelp, then LG, then BBB. Guess we will eventually end up in court. read more

This company is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. They are rude, unprofessional and have terrible phone manners. DO NOT USE THEM. From our first phone call reporting the problem until today, we spent a total of 40 days "ordering parts" to fix a stove which ended up never being fixed. We also spent several days waiting for them to show up to several different scheduled/confirmed appointments, and we took time off work to be there for those scheduled appointments. They never showed up. No follow-through or phone call saying they weren't coming, just didn't show up. We ended up buying a completely new stove instead. A&D assigned thru Home Depot Protection Plan for our LG fridge which stopped cooling. Arranged service call through LG. Rude A&D man calls at 8 am on service day to say they would not be coming (after I stayed home from work) and said they needed a part (condenser) ordered before they would even come out to see my fridge. Have been on multiple calls with LG and A&D, no resolution in sight or ETA on repair. A&D claims they can't get parts from LG. LG says they don't understand why A&D hasn't called me back. After 2 weeks, asked LG to find another company. Stay away from A&D and LG fridges in the future. read more

Horrible service , These guys don't have any idea on how to fix refrigerator. They send some dumb guys who cant fix the compressor problem and who cant communicate well in english. the dispatcher / customer service guy who picks the call is so RUDE. He never understands the customer problem. They took more than a month to fix a compressor on LG refrigerator. Even after fixing the problem , it didn't work properly. Everything from incorrect information, to poor follow through, to even worse customer service (and this is even after speaking directly to the owner). The owner is rude, disrespectful, and places no value on his customers' satisfaction. His reaction and lack of care and concern to correct the problem resulted in my reporting him to both a major appliance store in the area (Karls) and Electrolux corporate. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I have had an ongoing problem with them coming to try and fix my fridge. The first time they charged me $250 just to re-adjust the freezer rack - it didn't fix the problem. the second time they came and then ordered parts to try and fix it. When a different guy came with the parts he said that wasn't the problem and he ordered other parts - kicking the problem down the road another few weeks while I didn't have a fridge. Finally, the parts arrived and he came to fix it - another $250 bill - and it once again broke immediately after. I then went to go buy a new fridge. When they called requesting the money I explained the situation and that I wasn't going to pay something they didn't fix (I mean, if you couldn't fix it you should have been professional enough to tell me that and not keep dragging me through this without a working fridge for a month). Instead of hearing my argument and working with me, she just said 'alright ma'am well then this is going to collections and you can expect a letter in the mail." And then HUNG UP on me. I reported before making an appointment what the problem was and the model of my refrigerator to be sure they'd be able to deal with the problem. When they came the "repairmen" obviously did not have a clue what was wrong or how to deal with it. They tried to give me explanations about what was wrong and when I explained that what they said was impossible they called the maker of the appliance. They then told me that it was supposed to be the way it was even though it wasn't like that for the first years I owned it. They didn't even look the refrigerator over. Their entire solution was that I should call the manufacturer and didn't even give me a contact number. World's worst!!! read more

Very unprofessional guys, if you call they are totally disinterested in answering you. I called them because my LG washing machine was leaking and A&D appliance came up as authorized service agents. A guy came in and opened the machine, checked few things and said valve controller need to be replaced and gave me an estimate for the parts. In 40 minutes he finished everything and left, though he charged me for 1 hrs labor. After 30mts I again checked the laundry room, it is full of water, much more than the leak before the guy fixed it. I called the guy again, to come and see it, he says he is far away now and schedule another appointment. I couldn't wait for his appointment, I called a local handy man to take a look, he immediately recognized that the inlet pipe was loose, not tight enough and that is why it was leaking. Now what about the part that was replaced, was that necessary? Anyways I lost the money. Don't let these guys in. read more

A&D was assigned by our home warranty company, Total Protect, to repair our refrigerator. The freezer was not getting cold enough to harden ice cream unless we turned the thermostat to max. It's about 20 years old so I figured something was wrong. Before calling, I looked "inside" the back panel and noticed a fan not operating. When "Jeans" (Spanish speaking) and "Anthony" arrived (I thought it unusual to have two repair men for one refrigerator but that's not my complaint), they looked puzzled when I told them the problem but then described the broken fan. After checking and determining that the fan was, in fact, not working, I was happy to see that they had a replacement motor in their van (which, by the way, had no logo or anything on it). However, I was very dismayed to see when they removed the old motor, they placed it and their tools and dirt on the kitchen ceramic tiles. When I told them they should use a drop cloth to prevent damage and dirt on the tiles, the said the didn't have one and asked if I could supply one! (Pretty unacceptable.) I did give them a drop cloth to use. But when they finished, they asked me for a broom to clean up the dirt they made. (Very amateurish.). They finally left leaving me with some dirt and water of the floor. Before leaving they asked me for the model number of the refrigerator which I did not have and suggested it is located somewhere on the door. After searching around (since they did not know where to look), they finally found it on the very top inside the refrigerator section. So far the refrigerator is working so I can't complain too much but given their lack of professionalism, I would not hire them if I did not have the warranty company. If I could give negative stars- this place would get it. They quote you a time and the tech does not show during the time given. You don't get a call if they are running late. On three separate occasions, we had an appointment to fix our dryer with this company. All three times we were stood up. We never got a call from the company nor the service tech to inform us they were not coming or they would be late. Upon calling and speaking with a manager, the woman who scheduled the call got very loud and unprofessional on the phone, accusing myself of not listening when she booked the appointment. This company is the worst. I waited for them during my 5 hour window slot and they never arrived. I called 20 minutes prior to the end of the 5 hour window and the lady on the phone said they got held up on another job. I said fine, but why didn't anyone contact me about the delay. She said nothing - no apologies nothing. She said they will come after - not sure what time after meant but she had no clue so I told her that was unacceptable and I hung up. I asked to have the owner of the company call me. Well the next day I get a call from the same woman and she said the repairmen were at my house and banged on the door at 3 pm and said they took a picture of my door. I had 3 ppl in the house at 3 pm and you'd think one of us would have heard a knock on the door. I laughed at the woman and said how genius of you all to run and take a picture of my door which could have been taken at any time. I realized I was dealing with morons and will report them to my appliance manufacturer. This has truly been the worse repair experience I've had to deal with. Came out, said they needed a part for my dryer and this part will take 2 weeks to arrive..... 2WEEKS! And even once it came in on a Friday.... their earliest appointment was the following Tuesday Morning. Then they call me Monday to say they won't be able to come till Tuesday afternoon..... and that they will call 30 min before coming. On Tuesday they show up at 11:30 (No Call ahead).... I tell them my wife will be their by noon (Like she was suppose to).... but then they left. I call back the tech and he ignored my call back. I call back the office by 2PM and they say the tecg is done for the day.... DONE FOR THE DAY AT 2PM when they supose to have appointment all the way till 4PM. The office 'calls' the tech and he said he can' come back because he took his car foran oil change?????? REALLY? So he had to leave my work to go change his oil..... and I'm not sure where he went to change oil, but I don't know a place that's taking ALLLLL afternoon to change oil. Completely unacceptable, not customer service minded and just overall completely clueless. Avoid at all cost! Not worth the time and aggrevation. read more
