Bought a refrigerator that served as a demo at a good price. A couple days in the refrigerator was given me trouble. Thank goodness warranty was still in play I was directed to A & E. The problem started in month of November. Repairman came out. I told him the refrigerator was not cold as it should be in the top half. He supposedly adjusted it and said he would return if it persisted Unfortunately it did again. This time the computer in the refrigerator shut down. I made a call to the store I bought it from. They directed me to A&E. A&E then told the store had to make an appointment with them. I proceeded to to tell them about my service number I already had. Gave another appointment. Long story short, between that time til March. The repair came after cancellations. He was knowledgeable of what he was doing , explained it to me and ordered a part. By 3/9/23 my refrigerator was fixed ! I rated them 3 because of that reason. I did not like the duration of time it took, but thought maybe because of limited staffing or maybe overwhelmed repairmen. Our ice maker stopped making ice and we've had the fridge for a few months still under warranty. Called them to come fix it. The guy who came out said January 31st was the next time he could come out. I said great. So this morning I was waiting for him. I get NO courtesy call to let me know my parts are not in and no one will be coming. I call the company and what a surprise you DON'T get to talk to a human. So the stupid machine tells me my parts aren't in and they sent me a email. NO email! WORST service. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I have been dealing with this for a couple of months. The guy comes out and says it's the part that defrosts the freezer and he will order the part. The part came and oh, oh, it's the wrong part. So he had to order the correct part. It's been about 2 weeks and still no part. Just got a call from them for me to call them when the part gets here. I don't even know for sure if the part was ordered! I bought the refrigerator from Costco. Costco, you need to get a better service company. read more

STAY AWAY...Synopsis: Sears came to replace a felt dryer drum seal. Easy job. Technician fried some electronics in the process. Admitted fault, stated they would fix. DAY 40... Update #5. Unbelievable. Text at 4:40 saying he's on way then he calls at 5:05PM and says he won't make it because his seasonal allergies are flaring up. Can't come until next week. That will be 47 days after the first technician fried the electronics. Update #4. Phone rep revealed today that AE is affiliated with Sears who still, 5 weeks later, has not repaired the dryer that THEY BROKE. Been waiting all day, no show AGAIN. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I don't know what the business model is but it seems like a mess, nobody in charge. Continue to get the runaround is from sears customer "service". No tech in sight to fix the dryer their tech fried. Update #3. Sears was scheduled to return today but did not show up. NO CALL. We waited. All day. Finally got through to someone but were told the service truck broke down. Stated next available appointment is in a week. On our way to BUY a new dryer to replace the one that SEARS BROKE. Worst experience ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, TOTALLY INCOMPETENT... Update #2. Can't find parts, still waiting. Now they are sending another person out to verify it's broken. Almost 4 weeks without a dryer. Sears Appliance Repair is the WORST... Update #1. After finally getting through to a supervisor and receiving a case number I was told I would get a call back within 36 hours. I received an email that another service call was scheduled despite the fact that there were still no parts to my dryer that Sears broke. When I called back the customer service number, 800-479-6351, I was told that they need to schedule another appointment to confirm that the dryer they broke was actually broken and that they couldn't fix it before they replaced it with parts that they were unable to acquire.This would be an amusing circus if it were not for the fact that I have now been without a dryer for over three weeks. Scheduled a repair for February 14. Simple dryer felt drum seal replacement.During the repair the technician fried some electronics in the dryer and the basement filled with smoke smell. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks and our dryer has not been fixed. Repeated calls to Sears home services get us nowhere. We are told the part has been ordered. I can order a part from anywhere in the country and have it to my house the next day so their excuses are not reasonable.Beware, when you call Sears you get a national call center somewhere with people who do not care about your repairs. It is impossible to speak to a supervisor and impossible to talk to somebody who actually has the authority to fix your problem. The last time I called I was transferred three times and ultimately ended up not speaking to somebody who only spoke Spanish. I finally connected with something called an escalation team that was really just another part of a big circular phone ring. I was told a supervisor would call me back but of course that has not happened.Do not use this appliance repair service. Call someone local. Quite possibly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Not to mention the fact that they broke my dryer. read more

If Satan and Kmart opened a torture facility, they would quickly be run out of business by A&E. Your brain does not have the ability to foresee the type of random misery these idiots will introduce into your life...to wit, I bought a TV that sucked, I called the number on my receipt to get the crappy TV fixed (well within the warranty period), fast forward 7 months, I receive a bill for almost the same amount as the price of the TV for services they claim were just done to the TV. The entirety of the services that were actually performed 7 months prior were: replace all the cables and call back if that doesn't fix it. The bill threatens collections action if payment is not immediately made. Keep in mind, this bill, although incorrect, is the first bill I have ever received for non existent services that were not performed, and they are threatening collections. You may think a phone call would fix that, well then you are as naive as me. Call A&E. Call them now. You get nothing. Its complete insanity. 10 phone calls so far and no progress. And please keep in mind, I owe them nothing. I may just send them a bill for $100,000 and haul them into court if they don't pay. If you read this, and still hire A$E by your own choice, then: 1. Do not waste your time with this company. They came to fix my refrigerator 3 times now and i am still having the same problem. They showed up on 6/7 for a diagnostics and ordered parts and told me they were to fix it, yet i have an email from the insurance instructing them to do a diagnostics. On 7/2 they came back for the diagnostics for the the insurance and the tech walked out said they don't do that, which was just a simple phone call to the insurance, so i could file a No Lemon Policy claim nor did he install the parts. Not to mention my Technician Dwayne W has been very rude both times he has been to my house. read more

This company has been coming out to my house, repleatedly, since 2021 to "fix" my brand new Frigidaire. Hired by Frigidaire. The repairman not only further damaged the refrigerator, (new damage in pictures), but he said nothing about the new damage, or the now leaking water dispenser. He said he was finished and just left. Not one issue was resolved, but there was lots of new damage. They sent the same uncertified technician over, and over; six times, over several months . The last guy who came out was in February 2022, after I demanded a certified technician and sent the uncertified guy away. The new guy was knowledgeable. The certified technician said the refrigerator needed to be replaced. He apologized for other technician wasting our time and said he even ordered the wrong parts. He said I should have a replacement refrigerator call within two weeks. If not, call. Well, it's been months. A&E has refused to provide the letter that Frigidaire needs saying that they can't fix the refrigerator, and that it needs to be replaced. I've called over and over. Everytime I call, I get an apology and a promise of an email within 48hrs. Mid-April, after repeated calls, still no new refrigerator and no email. read more

A & E Factory Service are the most abysmal repair service I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. I have AHS and they use this service. After A&E scheduled an appointment and CONFIRMED IT, they never showed. I would not have know anything if I wouldn't have called to find out they need to reschedule. The best part? The new appointment date wasn't going to be for almost a week. AHS, you need to DROP this service provider! read more

Just had a 2 year old top-of-the-line LG dishwasher repaired by A&E Factory Service (Lowes Extended Warranty). Technician replaced motor assembly. Now it is leaking on our hardwood flooring. Will not schedule another appointment for 24 hours .... AVOID this company - poor service! read more

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! My Mom just had service from this company through a call she made through Sears Home Services. From the beginning, it was not a good experience but she was thinking it was the Sears of years gone by, and therefore, she felt secure. The technician (Adam, he said his name was, although he had no name on his shirt and had no signage on his truck) had refused to take his shoes off and they were muddy. He did fix my Mom's washing machine and all it was was a switch. The part was $40. It was supposed to be an $89 service call but my Mom was presented with a bill for $346!!!! but he wouldn't even leave her the bill, said it would be mailed. (what?????????????) He said my Mom's check was no good and he took it even though he made her pay with a credit card. He also charged $100 for "cleaning" her dryer but all he did was clean the lint out of the machine. HORRIBLE!!! This was truly the worst experience I have EVER had with a home service repair company! The technician was rude and abrasive. He very obviously was angry that he had so many jobs booked for the day and that he got lost on the way to my house. He made it very clear that having to come to my house was an imposition for him and that he was not happy about it. While he was on the phone with his manager and I asked to speak to him, he ignored me several times. Then, when he finally asked his manager if he wanted to talk to me, his manager said no and he hung up. My home warranty company booked this company and I wasted 4 days waiting for my appointment. He never did look at my washer or dryer. Now, I am back to square one, waiting on a different company to come out. NEVER again will A & E Factory Service set foot in my house! read more
