I rarely write reviews, but others need to know how awesome this company is to work with. I have been having work done by them for years. Recently I have gotten a home warranty and have had to use others, NOT HYSSONG During one of the repairs the home warranty company came out looked at the fridge, did no diagnostic and said that the computer board was bad. Came back 2 weeks later, replaced the board and left. Didn't test is or make sure working. I contacted them again and stated that the board did not work. They told me that the fridge needed replaced. Being a custom built in fridge this was not an option for us. I immediately contacted HYSSONG APPLIANCE CENTER. They came out the very next day. Diagnosed that the temperature gauge was bad. This was a $50 part that the home warranty refused to cover and was misdiagnosed. Hyssong came out 2 days later, put the part in and it worked AMAZING. Our dishwasher stopped working. After talking to the lady who answered the phone the "journey" for having a working appliance was just short and easy. AMAZING! We had a dishwasher that was leaking water onto our floors the boy found this appliance center and contacted them approximately 2 weeks prior to Christmas for a repair. They were pretty responsive on the initial call quoting the boy a Tuesday afternoon visit for diagnosis. The repair technician came out and looked at the door and indicated that they needed to order some parts and quoted the boy a 1 week turn around and that they would be in touch once the part came in. Once the part showed up at the store, they texted the boy for install date but there was really no update in between -- I had asked the boy at approximately 1 week post initial diagnosis visit and the boy indicated he had not heard yet but the next day the boy did get a text stating that the part showed up.. So slightly not superb service but I mean they did tell the boy when the part showed they would call or text and let him know.. so I cant take offense to that. Additionally, they initially indicated Friday afternoon, and somehow ended up with an earlier slot for install so they texted us to see if we could reschedule for earlier. Once here the part was quickly installed and the boy and the service tech chatted for a bit. Was this an expensive repair? Yes, but its not as expensive of a day as buying a new dishwasher. read more

Hyssong was recommended by our washing machine manufacturer as an approved service provider in case the repair was covered under warranty. John came out, concluded that the part needing replaced was not covered under warranty, ordered the part, came back and replaced it. The next day I run a load of laundry and the same problem that was happening before continue to happen (machine gets stuck during cycle and won't switch to next part of cycle). They called and offered to come back to see what was wrong, but at this point I had already spend $230 on parts & labor and was nearly half way to the value of the washing machine. I was not interested in spending that or more where I could probably just buy a new washing machine instead. John was great and super professional... whoever I spoke to on the phone was absolutely wonderful... just a bit disappointed that they did not offer to refund any part of the repair because nothing was fixed. read more

Was charged a $92.00 trip charge when their office is less than 3 miles from the job they were going to. Then I was charged $132.00 service labor charge. In addition to the part (a $70 latch) I was charged a $6.00 freight charge. Total $304.00 on a 2 year old $400 - $500 stove. read more

Great Service and quality work. Contacted Hyssong to repair/service Bosch Dishwasher power cord recall and was completely satisfied with the way Hyssong handled the repair. Service agent was most pleasant and friendly over the phone and kept us updated on the status of the parts required as part of the recall. They even texted to let us know that the part was in and provided availability to conveniently set up and appointment. Service tech came out basically the same day and repaired the power cord in less than an hour. Bosh appliance is major improvement over the GE builder installed appliances in our home and has been the most reliable we have had. If we do encounter issues with any of our appliances though, we would use Hyssong again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for an applicable repair company, Hyssong is where it's at! Came highly recommended from numerous people in our neighborhood and I'm so glad we listened. We had an issue with our fridge. Our home warranty company sent a company out to fix it. The place basically put a band-aid on it as a few months later it was leaking again. Our warranty had expired by that time so we looked to Hyssong for repair. They got info on our fridge before they came out - and they had experienced our issue before so they knew exactly what they needed to do. My dryer stopped working and after seeing great reviews for Hyssong Appliance Center, I gave them a call. The gentleman who answered the phone asked me a series of questions and determined that my dryer might not be broken. I had only put one light piece of clothing in it and he thought that the sensor hadn't been tripped and the heat automatically shut off. He told me the steps to take to determine if that was the case. It was! He saved me the cost of a service charge and that speaks volumes. My fridge went out just before a snow storm and they were wonderful keeping in touch with me and getting to me as soon as possible. My husband is very handy, but he didn't want to mess with the heating element in the oven that was gas. He left it for the professionals! This company is not customer friendly, and I feel were extremely rude to me as I came to find out this am. I asked the appliance repair person to wait a few minutes for me ( l waited a whole day for them considering I called and spoke with the repairman directly yesterday) , I had to run out quickly right before the appointment time and told the repairman when he reached my house by telephone that I was on my way back to the house. I got hung up on my way home from the grocery, for the appt. at 8:30.am When I got there not ten minutes later the repairman had left, didn't bother to call me and when I called them twice I got the answering service. When I finally got a hold of them I was also was told that I would have to wait until Tuesday for the next appointment, another 5 days later! I was supposed to be scheduled from 8:30-9:30, and the repairman knew I was a few minutes away and also that there was a load of wet finished laundry in the machine that would be ruined if it continued to sit, and the nature of the problem was that the door lock would not open. His actions show that he really didn't want to fix my washer , and considering that the Property Management people likely utilize them for multiple services I feel that they really don' t care about just one customer , or their lack of service (since I'm not the one paying them as well, as he likely has a multitude of other properties that he will continue to show up for the Property Management Company . The person answering the telephone also was rude and didn' t want to deal with my repair or problem either. She was rude and I was told they had nine other calls he will be paid on and can blame me for Not being there. In all fairness if he was supposed to be here an hour than he should have been here until nine thirty. He didn't have to diagnose the problem because he and I already spoke by telephone and he knew what was wrong. The person that answered the phone at this business was not nice or customer sensitive to me in particular and displayed an attitude. When I mentioned the cost of the service she said they don't get paid unless they do the repair. But according to the reviews here they do charge just to come out so they will be paid regardless and that would be then a lie not to mention passing the blame for it to me. The person I spoke to also told me that she called the Property management company and told their rep to find someone else for the repair so again they proved they really didn't provide the services they offer are not customer sensitive especially when they know they will be paid by the property compnay. I believe they purposely did not contact me when they had my telephone number considering they knew I was rushing back and on my way already not ten minutes away. Also, I had another appliance repair person just get here, and the door was opened to get the wet clothes out in less than ten minutes and the part is going to be ordered immediately and he will return on Saturday to fix the lock, considering his service he puts this company to shame! read more

The refrigerator went down and they were able to schedule me in two days which is pretty good. They fixed the problem, but only temporary since it was not the cause, but rather just the symptom. I called back a week later and mentioned the issue was back. They came out again quickly and did figure out the problem. Ordered the part and came back out an fixed it. The part was $16, but the constant coming back was closer to $375. $401. They are expensive and as a previous reviewer mentioned that if it is misdiagnosed, there is not price break on labor. There is no issue about them being honest, or friendly or prompt, just really expensive. read more

He called to apologize because his previous service call went long and still came out late, at 6:50 pm that evening, along with a young man he was apparently training. We've used Hyssong Appliance several times, with our latest visit just this morning. Hyssong is always incredibly friendly, very, very quick to respond, and always at a reasonable price. I realize that today's example is NOT typical, but it was so amazing, I just have to share. Our dryer died on Saturday. I called Hyssong this morning at 10 ish. The receptionist called the repairman who was in our area at the time. He was at my door less than 10 minutes from the time I hung up the phone. Repair done in less than an hour. $150, my dryer works, and I'm thrilled. Love these folks, and appreciate that they are local. Repairman came out to diagnose a problem, which I knew would be a $78 service fee just for him to come out. He didn't have the needed part on his truck, which was fine. The rip off started when they wanted to charge me another service call fee to come back out with the part plus labor. ONLY labor should have been charged on the second visit, not another "service call fee." All said and done they were going to charge me $175 in labor to put in a $75 part that the repairman said he would have maybe 45 minutes of time in total. When I called the company I really thought they would work with me after I explained my frustration and told them that I had been referred by my family who had used them for years. I was told this is the cost of doing business and good luck finding it cheaper. Made a great example of bad customer service and unprofessionalism. At one point the woman on the phone told me to buy the part and put it in myself if I didn't like their prices. In the end they lost not only a new customer, but also the long standing business of my entire family. read more
