If I could give more than five stars I would! Alberto and Esteban did a great job installing my custom, wooden garage doors. They exceeded my expectations in every regard. The carriage-style wooden doors on my mother's house finally wore out after 100 years. Being a serious hobbyist woodworker, I spent months building her a pair of solid-wood, custom, replacement doors. When it came time to install them, the DIY part of me was tempted to try installing them myself, but these things weighed 170lbs each so I was worried about wrangling such heavy doors while screwing in the hinges. I decided to hire professionals (best decision ever). I was referred to Alberto and Esteban by a local company that makes custom doors/windows. Alberto replied quickly, provided a competitive bid, and gave me valuable advice about the best hinges for the job. As others have mentioned he and Esteban showed up early on the day of installation. Watching them work, their experience and knowledge was evident in everything they did. They had all of the right tools to replace some of the wood in the door jamb that had dry rot and they knew which parts of the doors needed just a fraction of adjustment in order to fit and operate perfectly. They finished in half a day and the result is beyond perfect. He was super professional, communicative, very punctual, and so easy to work with. We needed to replace 1 window on a 2-pane window, and this particular window had frosting and a pattern on it, but he couldn't find the exact glass to match the unbroken window. Alberto found a comparable replacement option and offered to replace the top window pane with the same glass so that both windows could match. We paid for the extra glass, but Alberto provided the extra labor free of charge. We hired A & E to repair a heavy double pane slider that was too difficult to slide. We got a quote from one company for thousands to remove the entire door and reframe it. Others couldn't be bothered with our small job. We got a quote from A & E and Alberto came to do the work. He fixed the door so my grandson and I can now open and close it. I was struggling to find a window installer for a 46" x 36" Milgard window unit I had custom ordered from Lowe's initially thinking I could pop this in myself. This was to replace a broken street facing bathroom window in a 1908 cottage in Bernal Heights. I wanted it to look good and match a larger picture window at the front of the house. This company recently replaced broken ropes in five double hung windows in a vacant apartment. They did a great job for a competitive price. I've done these myself so I know a good job when I see it. The job site was cleaned up afterward and they laid down long walking strips on the new carpet to keep it from being dirty.
