The owner came to my home to fix a dent on my vehicle, bringing an older gentleman along with him. The dent was supposed to be properly pulled out and repaired. Instead, they cut major corners--they just stuffed it with body filler and literally sprayed paint right over my existing protective car film (PPF). You can clearly see it in the pictures; it looks completely unfinished and amateur. When I questioned them about the terrible appearance, they looked me in the eye and lied. They explicitly claimed they had just sprayed on a special 'protective layer' to protect the area from the rain, and told me all I had to do was wait a few days and give it a quick wipe down to make it look perfect. Trusting them, I even gave a $50 tip--though the owner looked visibly disappointed with it because I wasn't thrilled with the work. He doubled down on his story, insisting it would look brand new in a couple of days. It was all a complete scam. There was no 'protective layer'--they had completely skipped the essential clear coat stage, never pulled the dent, and painted right over film. When I called them out and asked them to actually finish the work properly, the owner had the nerve to demand an additional $200 to complete a job he was already paid to do from the beginning. After a heated exchange, he finally backed down via text and agreed to come back to my home to fix it for free at 6:00 PM. I rushed back to town early to ensure I was there. Instead of showing up, he completely ghosted the appointment. When I texted him at 6:30 PM, he finally replied with more excuses, claiming he was all the way in Pennsylvania 'trying to make time.' I officially told them not to bother showing up anymore. I was actually planning to use this company to work on my other vehicle, but now I know exactly how they operate. They cut corners, lie to your face, paint over protective film, expect heavy tips for garbage work, try to upcharge you when caught, and have zero respect for your time. Avoid them at all costs.

They quickly pulled the bolt and put a plug in the tire as the damage was in the tread and not the sidewall. The work was done quickly and they saved me a lot of money. I think there are other stores that try to oversell customers but I firmly believe that Bergey's is a very honest company. I purchased a vehicle from them and used their service department for many years (Bergey's Dodge) and they were always trustworthy and truthful to me. I came in for a standard tire service and they suggested an alignment. I did not know that was going to cost me an arm and a leg, I also asked if their work is going to show up on the CARFAX report, just so I can keep a record and they could not give me a straight answer. One guy I talked to, obviously hated his job, treated me as if I was just another task he had to get through just so he can go home. Moral of the story, don't come here! I have been trying for months to reach this business by phone, and have not had one phone call returned, despite leaving a couple of messages. I finally decided to try reaching out through Yelp. I thought that I'd finally made some headway, as shortly after filling out the form, I received a response with a list of their services and their prices. But it turns out that was merely an automated system response. Where it gets worse is I responded with the service that I would have liked. . . But crickets. Even though Yelp showed that my message was "Read". I gave them a few days, assuming that they were just busy. But I can't believe that a business can be so busy as to not provide at least an acknowledgement. My final communication was reaching out to thank them for their initial automated response and mentioning that I assume they have no availability. And again. . . crickets. The final straw was the notification that my message on Yelp had indeed been received and "Read", yet still ignored. I really wanted and tried to support this women-owned business, but I am extremely disappointed in their lack of communication. Reply to Business Owner's Response: A quick search of my cell phone's call history shows that I did in fact call the correct number. The screenshot below shows that I have been trying to reach out to you since May 2025. And if you look closer, you will see that each of the icons are outgoing calls. Not one call back was ever received from you, despite the voicemail messages that I left. Additionally, I still have my landline, so a couple of calls were also made using that phone number. However, I don't feel that it's necessary to provide a screenshot of those call records. After my last call of October 28, 2025, I finally reached out to you through Yelp in November 2025, which leads us to this review. I wanted to write this short review as a follow up on the great service provided by Tom & son's at their great establishment. So, I went into Philly a few weeks before the big snow storm and possibly hit a speed bump, and possibly caught some air with a not so smooth landing. Two weeks later we had the biggest storm of the year. I had to leave my home and I drove on a street near my home that hadn't been plowed yet. After that I started hearing a scratching sound every time I left my driveway and occasionally on the road. When I checked I saw I had dented a panel that covers the front end of my car. I decided to head to Tom's one day while doing some errands to see if he could take care of it. Just a pop-in. I told what had happened and he could actually see it from just looking under, so he can let me know when to bring it in and all that. He figured the part and asked if I had bought it already cus I did bring him my fog light before. He remembered. So I told him no, he'd have to order it. He said to bring it in and they'd use the lift. In my head I was like, really now?! Cool! A young man I believe his son, asked for my keys and drove it in and put it on the lift. He said the damage was minimal and nothing else seamed to be at all. He took out the panel and reworked it back to normal. The whole experience was only about 20 min and the cool part was they let me stay inside while doing it! They brought the car down and asked Tom "How much I owe'ya?" He said "Nah, don't worry about it." I said really? Let me at least give you something for lunch or something for you guys. And he said you're good don't worry about it. I thanked him with a firm handshake and hug and thanked his son as well and went about my day. It was a minor thing but it had a world of difference to me, not only that he didn't charge but just giving that feeling of how my fellow man could help me out in a time of need. I was very relieved because had that not been fixed other issues could arise (Think of Newman when he hit that sewing machine on the highway) that's what I was worried about. Hahaha!
