Based on Sound Auto reviews on Yelp and Google, I decided to have Sound Auto (Mike) install my rearview mirror dash cam. After visiting the shop and meeting Mike, I was impressed with his honesty and approach during the sales process. We agreed on a price including any other possible extras, and to his credit, that's exactly what the invoice came to. It took approximately 2-hours and I decided to wait. All along he kept me posted on the progress, and in the end, it came out looking like a factory install! Nothing was out of place, the wires were hidden properly and everything worked as it should. In this day and age of ordering "online", it's rare to find a local business (especially in his line of work since so many closed beyond the pandemic) who does exactly as they promise. Mike is a stand-up guy, and his work is top-notch. From a pricing perspective, you could find "cheaper", but in the end, if you want something done right, you get what you pay for. This is my second, separate installation of electronics at this shop. I had a Dronemobile anti-theft alarm installed in my Jeep with an exterior entry key and a switchable sensitivity setting toggle to allow for the specific challenges inherent in a high visibility soft-top. Included remote starter run through phone. Saved my key-forgetting butt several times. Last week, I added a new radio, not for the sound but for the back-up camera it came with. Custom fit into dash, touch screen enables me to use my phone to access three GPS programs conveniently without dealing with a small phone on the dash. The guys threw in a free Sirius module. Installation looks better then factory installed. Now, though I STILL may get lost, my vision through the back of the Jeep is crystal clear and a lot safer for everybody in my small development. Several years ago, Sound Auto installed an audio upgrade in my car. It was great. The salesman listened to my requirements and recommended the best audio system within my budget. Today, don't expect that service. Instead, the salesman tried to up-sell me over $1000 beyond my budget, then criticized the audio components I brought in for installation by Sound Auto. Normally I wouldn't think much of the salesman's reaction, except that the components I brought in to be installed were PURCHASED at Sound Auto a few years back! Go elsewhere. read more

I wanted dash cams installed in my car and tried several DIY options from Amazon.com. I kept running into issues with the cameras burning out or mounting issues (suction cup failures / adhesive melting). After additional research, I decided to go with the BlackVue front and rear facing camera system. I did not want to deal with the hassle of installing yet another camera system, and I wanted to have the system directly hardwired into my car's power source. I called Sound Auto and promptly received a response. They indicated that they were familiar with the BlackVue system and voiced confidence in its quality. I had them install my front and rear system in my car (Pontiac G6) and opted to use the "power magic" pro to connect the camera system to the power supply. I scheduled my appointment with Sound Auto a few days out. They provided a very reasonable quote and we set a price range as cost of labor can vary. They finished the installation within a few hours and at the lower end of the quote range. After two weeks of driving around and letting my camera sit in the hot August sun, the system continues to work perfectly. It was installed correctly and centered pretty well.
