After being explained the cost of the call out and that a tech would be calling me first thing in the morning the day of the appointment, and provided all my contact info, ie name, address, phone number, email address and method of payment, I was then told that my appointment was booked. On the day of the scheduled appointment, I didn't received a call first thing in the morning as promised. At 10:45 am I decided to call to find out what was going on. The same man who booked the appointment answered the phone and asked for my address to find out on the status of my appointment. He said he couldn't find me on the computer and schedule and couldn't provide an explanation. He asked when I had called to book the appointment so I not only told him when but that he had even asked and wrote down all my personal information. He still couldn't find my info and didn't even apologize and tried to make it right. I told him to cancel and that I'd call a more reliable repair business. To me, this is just a reflection of the kind of service I would likely be getting from that business. I can't recommend them at all and in all honesty I wouldn't take a chance if you are looking for a reliable small appliances repair business in the Chilliwack area.

My dishwasher was not working properly. I called Sardis Appliance Repair. Many years ago when the…read morebusiness was at 45934 Silver Avenue I bought parts from them and I was very happy with the service, so I thought I would call them in to fix my dishwasher. It now says that their office is in Chilliwack at 46598 Portage Street. On Tuesday I got a text message from the technician that he would be in later that day. When the technician got to my house I was working outdoors so my wife took him in to check out the dishwasher. He was there for 4.5 minutes. He told my wife that the dishwasher needed to be replaced as it would cost more to repair it. I found out after she had paid him that he did not test the dishwasher but asked her what was the problem. She told him that the dishes at the top weren't washing properly. From what my wife told him he decided that the motor was defective. I should have paid my wife as the technician never checked out it out and didn't test anything. When I got the charge it said that it came from One Click Appliance Repair in Vancouver. Obviously, Sardis Appliance is a front for a repair place in Vancouver. They charged me $140 for 4.5 minutes of nothing that's over $1800 an hour. If he had actually checked it out that would have been doable. The technician told my wife that he had another repair in Chilliwack. At this point, I don't even know if it is repairable or not as Sardis Appliance Repair can't be trusted.

I purchased a new stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer. I was told there was a back order on my items and would not get them until July. I understood that due to Covid this may occur. I advised them that was fine. I provided a hefty deposit and was told the balance would come off my visa after delivery. July 7, I received my appliances and was pleased with my choices. Jump ahead to September 1, where I receive a call from "Ray" , manager at Wagners Appliances. Ray sounded like a drill sergeant asking if I was Catherine and after responding he became very aggressive and said " you haven't paid your bill, you owe us money". I of course said that we didn't owe anything and further he could tone it down a bit. He then went on to say that I hadn't paid my full bill. It takes plenty for me to get this angry but I did. I said, "we had our delivery in July and you're calling me now, yelling at me, accusing me of something nefarious. This is your exceptional customer service you tout on your website? I paid this bill on my visa, you have my card number and authorization." Suddenly, Ray went quiet. I continued by saying " this is the first time I've heard from you, nobody has ever called us to see how everything was working. No calls to touch base with your clients after I expressed interest in a standing freezer. So ultimately it would appear that Ray had not processed the final portion of our invoice. I then spoke to the owner of WAGNER APPLIANCES, Mark, he could not have cared less. No apologies for the error. No apology for how I was treated. Just dead air. The store owner served us himself and his demeanor was personable, courteous, professional, and respectful. He and his assistant delivered the refrigerator as promised and were exceptionally careful when moving it through doorways. Because of Covid-19 precautions, they wore gloves and masks, and changed gloves to touch the interior of the fridge. They competently handled the installation and connected the waterline for the icemaker, and willingly relocated our original refrigerator to the basement for us. We were glad to support this relatively new, local, family-owned business, and encourage others to do likewise.
