We have been having water issues in our back and side yards. Our backyard has a pretty decent slope to it and the water would pool between our patio and playground. Connor came out and did a through inspection of the property and advised installing a catch basin in the back yard that would dump out into the street as well as a French drain to handle the soggy side yard. When we informed Connor that we'd be using him he told me he'd rethought some things about the project. Just the idea that he'd put additional thought into our situation before we'd signed a contract made me feel like he really cared about helping us. Throughout the project we kept remarking about how efficient and thorough his work was. Every day he cleaned up after himself and made sure any digging was filled back in. I've never hired someone who has worked as hard as Connor. I cannot say enough how grateful we were for his meticulousness and professionalism. A few days after all the pipes had been laid down we had a decent bout of rain in the morning. Usually this would mean a small pond in our backyard and our side yard would be marshland for days. We had no pooling in the backyard and when I checked the side yard at about 2 pm the ground was almost dry. I was hopeful that it would work but I was astonished at how well it worked. Leaves were still all over the yard and in the beds along the house and in the ivy. Even though the work was not completed as contracted they charged my card the remaining balance. They never apologized. Never provided follow-ups and never did the job that they were contracted to do. They are lazy and irresponsible and are horrible at customer service. The owner regards him as one of his best guys. Yikes. I really miss ATA Landscaping after using them for 2 years due to a torn meniscus. I miss them scalping my lawn so I could correct it with Green Lawnger turf paint. I miss them over-trimming the driveway from a 2-inch trench to a 6-inch trench. I miss the Hooterville Fence Installers. The billion dollar white vinyl fence was mis-measured and the added $500 piece is falling apart. The geniuses then installed the Gate over an obvious sprinkler head. Paid $95 to relocate it. I miss their fertilizer guy who rammed into the gas meter, broke it, then left. The Plan of Correction? Don't fertilize the backyard anymore for the same price. I miss him splattering fertilizer on my painted white foundation and white fence that I would have to correct with two coats of Kilz 2 White Primer. Be Forewarned: If you complain about the fertilizer guy, he will muck up your property beyond recognition twice as much the next time out. That's when I finally canceled ATA. I miss squandering $6,400 over 2 years that fueled my complaints to a company whose motto is "The Customer's Always Wrong". Good riddance to the Wrecking Crew.
