George was really thorough and helpful as I am trying to change the carpet in my home to laminate flooring. I've spoken with salespeople in other stores and because they do this so often, they can be impatient and short with my questions, which is not useful as a first time homeowner. George was very helpful and careful to explain all of my options, and came over very quickly to measure for an estimate. This business is a gem in OC. If you want less toxic paint options, they are one of the only local carriers of Safe Coat primers and paints. Great option for children's rooms and chemically-sensitive folks. Also, Rich is such a helpful resource who's always willing to help. He's experienced and helped us with color matching and choosing which paints would work best for our project - it would be hard to find this type of help in a big box store. Omg from start to finish I couldn't recommend them enough!!! When we got to the store we were immediately greeted and offered help. We took home different samples to see what would work. George scheduled an appt with us to come and measure our house while we were still deciding on color, and once we decided he curated a quote for us so quickly! We ordered and waited a couple of weeks, and they were ready to start our project! The installation of our carpet and luxury vinyl panels only took 3 days and they left the house spotless! The owner (Rich?) at the store helped us choosing the right colors to match our furniture, bathrooms & kitchen and he lent us several samples to take home. George, the manager, & his team handled the installation. George went to our house, measured & explained the installation process. The 3 workers moved our big furniture, installed the flooring & baseboards in 2 days for about 1200 sf areas. The 8 mm planks are beautiful, yes they gave us 8 mm, not 6 mm or less. At the end of the day, I picked George (and team) based on their knowledgeable experience and top notch customer reviews. George walked me through the step by step process to remove existing flooring, floor prep work and new floor installation. This includes going over potential costs, such as leveling. Flooring quality and installation was great. However, the job ended up costing me $5000 more as I had to get someone in to dry the moisture from the floor(pet damage- I foster dogs and cats). The installers refused to put the flooring down. They were outside my window telling the salesman they wouldn't do it in Spanish(comprendo espanol).I pointed out all the problem areas to the salesman when he came to give the bid and he wasn't overly concerned; that surprised me because I felt like it was going to be more work. I wasn't in denial about the state of my floors and the bad shape they were in from the pets. I told him I needed something that would hold up to pets and constantly cleaning up after them. Last minute salesman referred me to Vincent O Campo who got everything dried out and sealed. I also wanted waterproof molding and the sales guy talked me out of it- too expensive- he said. I said I did not care. So, I have the basic base boards and from Pet messes and constantly cleaning the floor boards are already not holding up as I had predicted. read more

My wife and I wanted to get new floors for our home and we decided to check out FP&F. Rich and George were amazing at providing us recommendations and walking us through the many types of flooring products they had on display. They even allowed us to take samples home to help decide and were so patient as we went back and forth on the decision making process. George came out for measurements wearing a mask of course and provided us a quote by the next day. The quote was very fair and extremely competitive and we decided to go with them for our new floor. We went with Paradigm Conquest in Tower color which is a luxury vinyl plank. Off to The install! I was introduced to Rafa and Ignacio. These guys are the installers that would be working at my home for the next 5 days. Over that time, you get to know them a little bit. What I learned is that they are extremely professional, experienced, have amazing craftsmanship, and they respect your home like their own. I felt comfortable around them the whole time. They had a positive attitude and were great communicators. For example, I had asked a couple of times to make some changes to the planks that were installed due to a chip and a repeating pattern next to each other. They were gracious in making those changes. Check our the pics. These guys were great. Once competed the fit and finish of the floors were exceptional. Caulking and baseboards looked great along with our new floors. We had already scheduled installation of carpet and vinyl plank flooring with 'national flooring company with the memorable jingle' but my husband and I were not pleased with the service and couldn't seem to get a straight answer out of our sales guy on some specific points. That night he sent me my quote and it beat that national flooring company. Our install ended up taking over a month in total because our stair noses were stuck in Long Beach harbor due to Covid shipping backups. We did a full home renovation/addition, and needed old flooring replaced on our first floor and new installs on our second floor and stairs. I reached out via Yelp for a quote because I needed carpet and vinyl installation but didn't know where to begin. The owner Rich asked me to call in and ask for him or George, which I did. I was able to schedule George to come to our property and take measurements so he could provide me with a quote for carpet and vinyl, which he sent a few days later. I stopped into the shop after that to see some of the flooring samples and colors for myself. George helped me select a different options and allowed me to take the samples home to make sure it was what I wanted. Everything looked good, so we drafted up the final quote and I paid the deposit - pretty easy. I had to delay the installation for some unforeseen reasons, but George was the utmost professional, patient with me despite shifting timelines, and gave me timeframes for when his carpet and his vinyl teams could come out. He even told me that carpet would be a 2-day job and vinyl would be one (I had existing hardwood in some areas and he didn't even try to upsell me to change it all out - understood what I was going for and that's so appreciated.)
