I had A&M Fence come and replace the wood on a fence I had installed only 3 years ago. Rule #1 *never* have a landscaping company install a fence. The old fence was weather beaten, falling apart and the metal rusting; it looked 10 years old! A&M Fence replaced the boards with new cedar, replaced and secured the bolts, removed the rust and installed decorative spikes. The completed job vastly exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the fence. I had to wait a few weeks for the install since they are busy, but they are worth the wait. I'm going to have them do other fence work and I've recommended them to my neighbor. They are professional and take pride in their work. read more

I'll start off by saying I had a pleasant experience with John, the salesman, who has always been responsive to my questions and concerns. The 2 star review is on account of the office communication as well as the installation quality. Lead time was estimated to be 8-10 weeks, but I had to call after 12 weeks and chase answers about when my installation would be. Also, I was disappointed on several fronts with the installation. There are unsecured, loose post caps, scratched/damaged surfaces, fasteners that were driven in without cleaning the frayed look, a gate that had a full 1.5" gap (which I insisted they come back to correct, which they did), and clearly uneven/asymetrical spacing of the pickets on one side of the yard. For the price of the materials, I really hoped it would come with more careful installation, but live and learn. read more

got a chain link fence and gate. was promised top notch material and got average material with a limited 15 yr warranty rather than lifetime. gate hinges were different too and bottom. I was going to give this company a No Star review, but after more than three months, they finally came back and replaced the poor substandard fence panels they originally installed, so I bumped it up to two stars. At least I have a halfway decent fence now. It can take them up to five and a half weeks to return a phone call and respond to a customer complaint. I have never dealt with such non-professionalism in my many years of being a homeowner. My neighbors were going to try them but after they saw what I went through, they decided to go with someone else. I'm afraid I'll have to do the same next time I need fence repair. read more

I had a very nice cedar fence installed in March 2016. I had gotten 3 estimates & A&M's price fell in the middle. They are very prompt to show up to give the estimate. On installation day the crew showed up on schedule, ready to work. They handled all of the permits. A beautiful new fence in 2 days. A couple of weeks later I noticed a crack in one post of the back gate. I called them & they came & replaced the entire gate. They want their customers to be happy. If you want to waste your time attempting to beg this company to give them your money then call away. Not only did I wait several days to get a call back on scheduling but when I did firm up a time to schedule I was left hanging. The estimator called me an hour after my scheduled appointment to tell me that he still had to make another stop and that he'd be by in an additional hour (2 hours after the scheduled appt) and then wrote it off as if I should understand he's busy. Ok...arrogant much? I don't have stuff to do but wait for you to grace me with your presence? So we rescheduled for the following business day and as expected... no call, no show, nothing. I guess their business is booming enough that they don't need my money or yours. Never communicated. Never knew when they were coming. Didn't finish work. Left fence completely raw with no stain. Built part of my neighbors fence 2' over my property line in 2 different places without asking me. Bolted my neighbors fence into my garage without asking me. John from A&M Fence came out on 7/26 to measure and give me a quote on a patio fence and gate. John was very professional when he took the measurements, I showed him a neighbor's fence which was what I was looking for and he said he would send me a quote. I felt this was a company I would be happy with. Was I wrong! On 8/5 I texted John about not receiving the quote. He indicated he was out of the country and would return 8/18 and promised a quote when returned. I texted John again on 8/26 and he said he would get the quote to me. On 8/30, he called and said he was nearby and would stop by within 20 minutes to remeasure because he couldn't find his original measurements. I thought great, progress! About 20 minutes later I got a text saying there was no available parking and that he would stop by on 9/3 to measure again. I waited at home all day Tuesday and he never showed up. I texted him one last time on 9/9 and it is now 9/13 and I haven't heard from John or anyone else from A&M Fence. I have since had 2 other contractors out and have gotten back quotes from each within a week. Seeing that quick response from the others, let's change that rating to 0 STARS! read more

Asked for a fence quote and they quoted and replaced my gate. Exactly the opposite of what was asked for. Requested back and sides of my fence EXCLUDING the gate. The gate was fine and not requested. The Fence is 5 feet away and falling over, leaning against a tree. When questioned why they would replace something that was fine, they got heated stating we signed a contract. Not what we asked for ever. The receptionist as well as the owner were really hot out from the get go, so I assume this is a common occurrence. Stay far away, run from this company. read more

The quality of their work is unmatched. Their schedule was packed and it took weeks to get them here to install but absolutely worth the wait. Obviously, they don't hire bodies so they can take on more work. Their workers are craftsmen - every detail was carefully executed. They showed up with masks and pretty much kept them on all day (it was in the 90's those 2 days). We are very impressed. We installed a steel gate across the driveway and a man gate on the other side of the house. They are both an asset to the property. Office staff was very attentive and pleasant. We couldn't be happier with this company. We hired them to remove our old fence and install a new one. We wanted a premium / finished look on the inside and gave them a couple inspiration pictures, and they made it come to life. They were detailed and meticulous in the building of the fence, precisely measuring each cut, and both glueing and nailing each board. We had a terrific experience from start to finish with A&M. The quotation was very competitive and Manny did a great job adjusting the design to meet our budget. The installation crew was extremely careful in working around our existing plantings and gardens. In some cases existing flowers and vines were inches away from the new fence and were in excellent shape after our new fence was installed. I'm giving them 3 stars mainly because of price. They were prompt in getting back to me to set up an estimate and provide that estimate. I really wanted a horizontal fence to replace my traditional vertical fence and got the feedback they are so expensive - so I selected the lowest price of options yet I was not crazy about that style. I ended up going with a layered horizontal fence (their's was only single board) that 2 other companies priced and they were between $3450 - $2880 less than A&M . While I'm sure A&M would have done a great job I just couldn't justify that big of a price difference to go with them. read more

A&M took down our old fence and replaced it all in the same day! However, we noticed that there were two sections that weren't done to our specs. When I called the company and explained, they were willing to work with us and, in short order, came back out and fixed those two sections. Our experience was so good we recommended them to two different neighbors who in-turn hired them to repair their fences. Both neighbors have subsequently told us that A&M did a great job with their projects as well. read more
