I contacted Flores Fence for a repair. I have a 6' cedar fence and one of the posts broke in a sorm this summer. I contacted several fence companies for the repair and they did not seem particularly interested. I then contacted Flores and the experience was completely different. Flores Fence just finished installing our fence and did an amazing job. They were prompt in meeting with us initially and getting us a quote quickly. Our project was tricky because there were elevation changes along the fence line and places where concrete jutted into the property line. In addition, they had to work over a massive tree stump that couldn't be removed. They also customized a large swinging gate so machinery and equipment could access our yard during future landscaping (as you can see from the photos, we are still mid-renovation). Had a good experience with Flores Fence, from beginning to end! First off, they were one of the few that responded to my Yelp request, which I appreciated. And while they were booked out a bit, we put something on the calendar...it turned out to be worth the wait! Luis came by, heard me out on what I was looking for, and answered my questions. He then took back the info and got a quote to me within just a few days. I approved it, put down a deposit, and he let me know they would schedule an installation, which came just ~6 weeks late. There ended up being some confusion in the precise style I wanted*, but the installers--who, by the way, were great guys!--were able to adjust on the fly and get me the fence I wanted, all in just two days! Thanks Flores Fence! *I think this is the only area that could be improved a bit. I thought I had communicated the precise style, but I can see where there could have been confusion, from either side. I chose Flores to do my fence after reading their Yelp reviews and seeing the photos of their work. The contract we made said that I had to get someone else to clear the vines and bushes out of the fence line, so when they were ready to go and my landscape person was still not in touch, I was concerned. We discussed this and they agreed that they would go ahead anyway; they came and started right in with no remarks about how they weren't supposed to have to clear the fence line. Peter explained that George was the fence expert, Peter was fairly new and was "learning and carrying". In fact while Peter was telling me this, George was over at the fence getting it taken down and piled up already. He was so fast and did not spend even a minute deciding anything; the tasks were all laid out in his mind and he was doing them. Peter was carrying redwood posts and boards from the truck and making piles; next came the sacks of cement. George had the old posts out of the ground and was measuring and digging deeper holes. He used a big yellow tape and a long string and a level. The magic part came when he had two posts in, brought over the upper and lower cross pieces, set them in where they fit perfectly, and nail-gunned them in. No thinking, no shimming. He knew they would fit and they did. I did not see it happening but when I went closer as they were finishing up I saw than the dirt and sand under the fence line was even and smoothed out, whatever plants had been there were not visible. Watching men who like their work and do it perfectly is very satisfying. Needless to say other aspects of this project not discussed here were executed just as well. I plan to get them back next year to do some other sections; I'm retired so I'll be free to watch them make more of my beautiful fence. read more

He promised me a proposal within a day however they never sent it. Multiple emails and calls went unanswered except for an automated reply that he would call me later. Very disappointed. We contracted Flores Fence in Oct 2019. Our neighbor had a fence on our property that he agreed to move it. I asked Wilfredo if he didn't remove the fence what would happen with our deposit. He said they will just hold it until we're ready. The total for the fence was $11,838 so the deposit was $5,919 and they scheduled the install for 10/21/19. My neighbor did not take down his fence so I communicated that to Flores. They said no problem let us know when it's down. We filed suit in Dec 2019. Then Covid hit and we didn't get the court order until 01/07/21.  I was concerned as they had almost 6k of my money during quarantine but Rosa stayed in contact via email. On 03/13/21 I notified them we were ready for install and on 03/20/21 they scheduled to have Wilfredo come back out to go over the contract again on 4/10. But Wilfredo called me 03/26 saying he would come on 03/27. I agreed and he explained that he had to add an $800 fee for the increased cost of material due to Covid. I understood and Wilfredo suggested removing the postmaster posts to offset the added fee. He came the next day and made notes for the new contract and we asked to remove a 3rd gate. Wilfredo said we'd have the updated contract by that Tuesday and that he could schedule our install in 2-3 weeks. I never received the new contract that Tues and my calls and texts to Wilfredo were being ignored. I called the office they said they would have him call me and nothing. I called again now speaking to Effie and Sade with no return call for follow up. I did catch Wilfredo in the office one day and he said he had been out sick and would send the new contract by end of day. He didn't. When I finally received it I signed it and sent it back right away. I asked when install would be scheduled and Effie responded that it depended on a lot of things but they would call me when they were ready to install. I spoke to Luis who said didn't know why Wilfredo told me that he could install in April. Luis said he would install at the end of June or beginning of July.We started calling the office before the end of June since we didn't hear from them. When we got no where I asked to speak to Luis again and was told he no longer worked there. So I talked to Brenda who said neither Luis or Wilfredo should be talking talking to me about schedules because that's her job. She said that our install would be no later than first week of July.That came and passed and no call from Brenda. Wednesday 7/7 I get a call from my husband saying the fence crew is in our yard removing our chain link fence and gate! I called Flores and told them they needed to leave since they didn't call us and they had no permit. I told Effie to tell Brenda to call me. Brenda called me back blaming Effie for not calling me and basically said she was doing me a favor sending the crew out without notifying me. Brenda said she waited two years for us. I corrected her that it had not been two years and I was ready since March and they had almost 6k of my money while they waited. So Brenda says do you want your check back? Um no I want you to do your job. When I spoke to Brenda again that day she said they'd be back Friday or Saturday. She said she wasn't sure yet because she wanted to send me the professional crew. My husband called the next day and were finally told they would be there Friday. The install was fine the first day but the crew consisted of two men and a child. He was so small that he could barley hold a fence slat and the nail gun at the same time. I thought this can't be the professional crew. So the fence was supposed to be done Satuday but it began raing in the afternoon so they left and came back Mon. Upon reviewing both the original contract and the new contract we noticed the original contract was for a layered fence. I contacted Brenda who said no and basically I should be happy because Wilfredo never charged me the extra $800 to which I told her she was wrong. I also told her that Benny was supposed to come back the day after install with the locks we were invoiced for and not the latches he installed. Brenda said they were ordered. She said she would send Benny out when they came in. She asked to send her both contracts. I sent her both contracts and told her I would wait for her response and I wanted all future communication in writing so I have record of it. Next thing I get a new invoice reduced by $600 and no Benny yet with the gate locks. So we waited then on Satuday, August 14th I get a call from them about my open invoice and again no mention of the locks over a month later. Monday morning before I could respond to the Sat vm I received another vm from Effie stating she left me various messages and they have been very patient. So they have forgotten all about the locks. I responded via email and have every text and email to back up every thing I have said here. read more

We have a corner lot and needed a pretty large length of fence to replace the aging and rotting pickled fence that came with the house. A team of two people demoed the whole fence in a day (including posts with 4ft of concrete in the ground.) Another team member, probably the nicest guy I've ever met, came to assist in the rebuilding. The new posts were put in on a Friday, concrete cured and on Monday the fence was complete. Our yard has a wonderful garden that all the neighbors love so we wanted something that didn't totally block everyone out but also gave our family a little more privacy. Their design worked out perfectly. I only wish my wife and I had been able to agree on something before lumber prices went haywire, but that's on us. Last year, we wanted to get a fence on the front of our house and our gate locks on the sides of the house replaced. The whole process was frustrating and all of the things we wanted to get done started adding up, so we settled for just getting the fence done. Our gates only lock from the outside, which after a year has become unbearably inconvenient. Chores like mowing the lawn and taking out the trash are a pain because of the lock situation. I'll admit Flores wasn't my first call; I decided to give them a shot after dealing with two unresponsive vendors. I forget who came to check out what we needed, but he showed up when he said he would and was able to give me a quote a few minutes later. I mentioned that we tried to work with Flores last year and had some issues and he was very apologetic. The owner gave me a call to again apologize about last year and coordinate getting our small job done. They came when the said the did and the gates look great. The folks who did our fence last year had quoted us for a different solution to the same problem that was also about 3x more expensive than Flores. I'm so glad we waited and am very happy with the job they did. Now I won't have to go through the garage every time I want to bring the trash cans in or out, or traipse through the house to get the front yard mowed.
