Wilfredo at Jacob Fence was the only one of the 4 that showed me all the different options in the bid he provided. His bid was also much much more detailed than the other company's bids. TIMING: Jacob was able to get my project schedule quite quickly. His schedule was as fast or faster than the others who bid COMMUNICATION: Wilfredo was very good about keeping me in the loop on this project. From email and text mssgs he let me know when he was arriving, how permits where coming along, when the crew would arrive etc. I always knew what was going on with Jacobs. SERVICE: Jacobs offered to take care of the permit for me since he was near the city office. Great! Then an issue came up with the permit and Wilfredo was helpful and patient as we went back and forth trying to resolve the city's issues. And because of the permit issues we needed to adjust our plans for the fence and Jacobs was great about working with me to redo bids, adjust etc. WORKMANSHIP: On the day of the install, the crew arrived on time, got busy very quickly and in the end did a nice quality, tidy job. I'd requested some things be done in a very specific way that was a little different than normal. I was concerned that a contractor might not do a great job with steps that were divergent from their typical workflow. With Jacobs crew it wasn't a problem at all. They followed my request and did so very skillfully. In fact, at the end of the project they asked if they could take a few pictures and said they like what I did and would perhaps offer it to other clients. INTEGRITY: Because of the adjustments to the project result from the permit issues, there was less work done than was originally bid. Wilfredo didn't hesitate a moment in adjusting the final invoice. FOLLOW UP: I got a call a few days after the job was done checking to be sure I was happy with the job. SUMMARY: I though every aspect of the project was handled professionally and that everyone I dealt with was friendly, efficient, and very good at their job. The new fence looks fantastic, and several of our neighbors have already commented on how much they like it. Suarez not only provided a much better overall value, but they also had the largest selection of styles and materials to choose from. They took the time to show us photos of other projects they had completed, which was very helpful in deciding exactly what we wanted.
