    KFC "Spicy Chicken Sandwich"!
    Carole T.

Dropped in for the KFC Spicy Chicken Sandwich as seen advertised on TV! The drive-up service is appreciated during these "times" as the lineup shows. The size of this item is amazing & the freshness is notable with the crusty chicken breading. Was concerned it may be too "hot" but it isn't, just spicy & tasty! I did add abit of mayo to suit me.

Fast food is fast food. But the restaurant was clean and the staff were nice. I'd come back to this location again.

Of course you can't screw up a Root beer float, so that was good. The French fries.. Worst I've ever had.

Filthy tables, got the Coney dog order wrong and there was something hard in my burger. Almost broke a tooth.

Menu looked like it covered all the usual and even had lengua. However, after receiving our burritos, we were sorry disappointed. The smell and look off my chicken burrito was unappealing. The burrito was also not nicely wrapped. I could smell the industrial flour tortilla before anything else. The burrito was mostly rice and the chicken was lacking in flavor. The menu said there was avocado in here but there was none! No pico de gallo inside to add some freshness. There was also one measlt slice of jalapeno. Even the little cups of green and red salsa they gave us on the side were watery and lakced flavor. Husband said his abodaba (pork) was also lacking in flavor. So sad. So disappointed. But I guess that's what you get at $8 for a burrito. Never returning.

This little brick 'n mortar with food truck style yumminess is still serving up tasty food, and their carne asada tacos, as always, did not disappoint. The prices have gone up a bit since I lived in the Ham, but the flavors were still the same deliciousness. I think the only thing that would make this place perfect would be the opportunity to pop open a cold Corona beer with my tacos (or even a margarita). It's a pretty small spot, though, so not sure that will happen. It's best to plan on getting takeout from here, as there aren't always tables available in their tiny seating area. I keep hoping they'll expand into the former restaurant next door - would be great to have a tasty, full-service Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood!

We ordered 2 burgers and a milkshake for takeout. They said the order would take roughly 15-20 minutes which it did. The burger was great. I love the freshness of the veggies and the pickle just does its job of adding that acidity. The banana milkshake was super. They made it using fresh bananas and it was a thick shake which I love. The bathroom is not my favorite. It does its purpose but there is a very strong urine smell and is quite small.

Unfortunately, every chicken taco salad I've ordered since then has been a disappointment. I love that you can customize exactly what you want to add--or leave off--your salad. At around $8, it's a great value. You get a ton of food, and it doesn't hurt that you can add extra romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and other toppings at no additional cost. However, I've come to realize that it all depends on who's preparing it. Bring back the person who made my first salad, because the last three have been so bad that I started to question whether I actually had a great taco salad at Boomer's in the first place. One salad was mostly romaine lettuce with very little of the other ingredients, even though I had requested extra of everything. They also forgot the tortilla strips and the salsa. Come on--it's not a taco salad without salsa! The other two salads I ordered barely had any chicken in them. If I didn't know better, I would have thought I had ordered a salad without chicken. Boomer's, do better and pay attention to the details. Consistency matters. This could have easily been a 4-star review if you had been consistent with the four taco salads I've ordered. The other photos in this review are from years ago when I thought burgers were the only thing worth ordering at Boomer's. Who knew they offered salads too?! Based on that first salad, I'm going to give you another chance, Boomer's. Here's hoping you can make my next salad as memorable as the first so I can give that 4 stars!!

I wanted to add more protein so I paid $1.19 extra for egg whites thinking that would be in addition to the "folded scrambled egg" that was already included in the sandwich. I also wanted to add some arugula and tomatoes to bulk up my sandwich, but they were out of stock at this location. My order status in the app said ready for about 5 minutes, but I didn't find it on the shelf. I did eventually spot my order sitting in the service window, but I didn't want to be rude or enter a restricted area to grab it so I sat there awkwardly until the cashier was free. I had ordered a drink as well and had to request my cup because apparently they don't include that in your pick up order. My sandwich came with two tiny slices of ham and the thinnest layer of egg white I've ever seen. No scrambled egg. There was an adequate amount of cheese but the sandwich was mostly bread which I probably should've expected so nice it's Panera bread. Id rather have saved some money on a premade packaged microwaved breakfast sandwich from Starbucks that comes with twice the ingredients. I waited in the line again to request the folded egg and the cashier was very professional and accommodating but breakfast had ended while I was waiting in line, and they had already gotten rid of all the eggs. They did offer me a pastry or some extra meat which I appreciated. There was only one person working the counter so maybe there was a staffing issue today. The experience would've been improved with better staffing especially while they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch. lesson learned: breakfast at Panera is a miss. Also, if you place an order for pickup that includes a self service drink, be aware that you will still need to wait in line to request a cup. So placing a pick up order online isn't a more efficient way of ordering and your food is probably getting cold while you're waiting in line for your cup. The locations ambience was very clean, cool, and bright inside. The back room that used to be a safe was probably 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the restaurant and felt great!

This time we shared one with each kind of meat offered: chicken, pork and beef. I can't say which I liked more because they all were so awesome as ever. We tried something completely new to us this time: a ceviche called aguachile negro. I Googled it: "Aguachile negro is a bold, spicy Mexican seafood dish featuring raw, butterflied shrimp "cooked" in lime juice, blended with a dark, savory sauce made from roasted chiles, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Maggi seasoning. Served cold with cucumber and red onion, it offers a deep umami flavor and intense heat, often topped with avocado." I'll say it's hot!!! A heat that grows and fills your whole head. Yet, it was so incredibly delicious I weathered the effects. I am not kidding--I don't think I've had a dish I have loved more. The flavor is fantastic, and when I fished for a little raw prawn and put that thing in my mouth, I just thrilled. We had some of their wonderful guacamole as a starter, and I wish now I had saved some to try with the ceviche--it would have been lovely. I will go back.
