I have heard of DoorDash people scamming businesses so I understand his caution, but it could have been handled better. It would probably be best if he just asked if it's a carry-out or a DoorDash order. The inside is essentially just a giant kitchen and counter, so carry-out is also the only option. I also spend way more than I should, but in the case of Kenny's Meat Wagon, $14 for two sandwiches didn't break the bank too much, but it did almost put me into a food coma. I could smell the grill from a ways off, especially the Chicago style Italian beef he had sitting there marinading. The menu offered for regular options and two specials, one being a Veggie sandwich. I had to figure out how to try a bit of everything without overdoing it. I went with the Italian sandwich, which had a thick slice of Genoa salami and pepperoni on it and a pile of the Italian beef covered in veggies and spicy mayo. This.. should have been enough for me, but I had to get the Corby Dog too which was a 1/4 lb hot dog topped with pulled pork and homemade BBQ sauce and purple slaw. All the meats are local, and the awesome bread that it comes on is too. I downed that Italian sandwich pretty quick even though it was quite a bit of food and started to get the meat sweats. It was so good, but Kenny's not messing around with his meat, and you'll probably want to take it slow. As far as the Corby Dog, I saved that for later. About 15 minutes later. It was absolutely delicious, and the BBQ sauce mixed in with the sweet peppers and grilled onions was really tasty. I wanted to get this review out here before I fell asleep at work, because the food was just so good. I see now why he won an award at the Columbus Food Truck festival. He's also selling OH Chips! My husband got the Korean BBQ Scotch Egg (so different but very tasty), BBQ glazed meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, lemon chilli green beans (he normally doesn't like his vegetables, but he said these were so fresh and tasty), and Espresso Martini Pot De Crème. I had the Italian Wedding Soup (very good but did not have the meatballs), Pasta Bolognese (pasta was cooked perfectly and drained properly, so it did not water down the sauce!), and Apple Pie Mousse. I also got one of their mocktails called Brambleberry Tea. I could have easily drunk a couple of those! I forgot mention that they pour some nicely chilled water from a bottle that they leave on the table when you sit down. That is a nice touch for us since that is our choice of beverage when we eat. I knew I didn't want to eat my meal as-is, and was going to ask them to at least warm it up, but my waitress never came back to check on us for so long that my parents were almost done eating (my dad ate his cold, but ice cold egg was a no-go for me). He had to wave her down to come back to us, and I just decided to not bother and they took it off the bill. She also forgot to refill my coffee, but the manager came over I asked for it from him. He explained that the toppings on the avocado toast make it cold, so I guess be warned. Disappointing visit for sure.
