A&Y Performed a tree removal for me. It was approximately an 80-foot tree very close to my house and backyard deck. I was a bit nervous as I had seen "TREE Fails" on YouTube. Their insurance was current and complete so that helped my nervousness:) The crew arrived on time and had the tree removed by noon. I was very impressed and highly recommend A&Y for tree removal. They left me a business card months ago. I finally called them. For the first job, they trimmed 2 big flowering cherry trees and 2 even bigger flowering pear trees. The climber was accommodating requests as he trimmed and shaped the trees. I liked that very much. I have had experience with another company where the climber asked me to get the manager permission first before he would cut an extra limb. After the first excellent job, I had them come back to trim my two giant cypress trees. I showed them a photo of how I wanted them to look like. And I was not surprised, the climber did such a good job on both trees. I highly recommend them. Easy to schedule and very accommodating unlike big tree companies. read more

We had two mature redwoods on a split-trunk just 24" from our house. There was a lot of branch overhang and a very small area to work with (I have a pie-shaped lot in a cul-de-sac). They love trees: they questioned why we would remove such a healthy tree (unfortunate foundation damage) , A&Y provided the lowest quote of 4 different tree service companies. I was a little worried, but checked the license and bond with the city and read other reviews, so we gave them the job. I am blown away by the work. Just awesome. They were patient and careful with the work because we have picky neighbors. Another draw back of the cul-de-sac property lines is we couldn't get a stump grinder into the yard. With their help (and an understanding neighbor) they removed a section of shared fence and got it in that way (repairing the fence on the way out, of course). Maybe I'm just in awe because I don't know how they do their magic. But all day long in 100F heat they were carrying out 4-foot diameter and larger sections of redwood on their shoulders and backs. I am gobsmacked. They even helped spread the mulch through our garden at the end of the job. If you have tree work, you must get a quote from this company. We called Juan on a Saturday thinking he would come out to give us a quote on Monday but he came right out, gave us a very generous quote for not only removing the giant fallen tree in our driveway but to remove 8 others on the property that were leaning toward the house. Jesus and the A&Y guys were on our street doing work for a neighbor. Since they were already there, they asked if we needed any work done and it so happened that we desperately needed their services. The neighbor's tree was overgrown and hanging way over our fence. Our backyard also had four foot spiky weeds that I was not wanting to deal with so their visit was great timing. Their crew of guys got our trees, overgrown potato bush and yard of weeds tamed in 1.5 hours, I could not be more pleased with their work. These guys were incredible. We had them trim some trees for us and had them back a few months later to cut down our big tree. Several neighbors saw them trimming our trees the first time and used them too. I had A & Y Tree Service Inc. come to my home yesterday, January 19, 2024, to trim our very overgrown front yard tree. They did an "EXCELLENT" job trimming the top of the tree, the bottom of the tree, and inside the tree. The shape of the tree looks "100 percent" better!!! While at my home they trimmed a couple of overgrown bushes I had, a small side tree, and part of my neighbor's front yard tree where the tree branches were overhanging onto the left side of my driveway. All of this was done in less than 2 hours! The three workers were very courteous and businesslike and let us know before leaving the job site what they had done and made sure we were happy with the task asked of them. And even though it began to rain the last 15 minutes or so of the project they continued to work...wow! I have attached a "before" and "after" picture of our tree so one can see the great job A&Y Tree Service Inc. did for us. I will be sure to utilize their services should I need any future trimming or pruning done. we had an emergency the Sunday before thanksgiving 2023. we needed an emergency tree removal when our 40 ft oak tree decided to fall, trapping the power wires from the pole of PGE. we called A&Y (we had their old business card when they used to be called Mia Bella). We called A&Y and within an hour, they came from San Jose to Santa Cruz mountains where we live. they came ready with about 10 people and within a few hrs, the fallen tree was gone. Joanna was our go-to as she arranges schedules and does translation is needed. their arborist Pedro is polite and knowledgeable and tells you what your needs are. Joanna and her husband, Catalino are great people, they were even willing to work on payment schedule in cases of emergency like ours when there are no banks or businesses open. they will give you options, one you like and they would offer you a cheaper option (like hauling away vs chipping and used as mulch). it is the winter/storm season and they wanted our house to be safe for winter so Pedro trimmed some more trees' canopy as they were top-heavy for free! they're a comprehensive company, they have 8 people with chainsaws, a wood chipper and stump grinder. when they left, we felt very ready for winter storm. I would highly recommend them and even better, they can be called 24 hrs a day.
