Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. They did a great job on the trees, cleaned up all the debris completely, and even used a blower to make sure they didn't miss anything. I wholeheartedly recommend JC Tree Experts. This is exactly why I waited to post--I find this level of monitoring and personal contact highly invasive and unprofessional. Hired this company to remove a tree. First of all, I know it's a very demanding business and risky at that. And things come up all the time, but what is unacceptable is accountability. I had an appointment and the day of the person was nowhere to be seen. I could not get a hold of Xavier. He finally responded after numerous calls. I have several friends in this business and they said that they at least apologize when they over schedule and things come up. Again, I understand this. But at least apologize for the lack of communication. An apology goes a long way!

They've also done contract work for big projects as well. Some of you may have seen them working along Highway 17 during the cleanup effort. They review exactly what you need and the health of everything. In some cases, they will cut more or less in some areas to keep the tree healthy and still clean it up. Even if you're not sure about trees, they'll come examine them for free. They also do work for two of my neighbors and are really wonderful. They really enjoy their work and very proud of it.
