This RV park was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit. Downtown Cheyenne was just a short drive, and Fort Collins, CO was not too far down I-25. We booked our reservation online, and we got one of the last 2 available sites for our 7 day stay. Upon arrival, the entrance was a tight turn and then there was another RV checking in that was blocking the roadway. We tried to pull off to the side, but you cannot hide a 40 ft motorhome very easily. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. We were able to pull straight through the park, across an alley type road, and into the southern portion of the park where our site was located. After getting settled, we discovered that the other section of the park was under construction, so we were glad we chose the southern section. The sites are close, but separated by small rail fences. This was nice to designate each area, especially for those campers who like to spread out to their site limits. During our stay, the park would nearly empty and refill each night. It was a busy park, but we were not bothered by the activity. There were a couple longer term folks too. They offered two laundry rooms, and bath houses in each section. We did not use these amenities. They also sell propane on site and offer a dump station for use if you aren't staying in the park. There was a Hunt Brother's pizza in the building with the office. I spoke to the staff when checking in, and they gave me a menu and told me to call ahead to order. When we decided to give them a try, I attempted to call several times but no one ever answered the phone. I walked up to the office and tracked down someone who took my order and told me 15 minutes for a pizza and some buffalo chicken bites. When I returned to pick them up, no one was there and my food was in a pick up station/warmer. I wanted some blue cheese for dipping the chicken bites so I asked in the office and they gave me some sauce. They billed my credit card on file with the park. When I got back to my RV, I noticed that they had billed a second charge for a $1.00 for the blue cheese. I wished they would have told me that when I asked about it, or better yet, offered it when I made my original order. The pizza was good but had canned mushrooms rather than fresh. The chicken bites tasted good according to my husband. I think this park is one of the better options for this area. Once they get the construction done to upgrade the sites and utilities, it will be even better. I'm not sure I'll get the pizza again, but it was convenient for sure. read more

Nice park. Easy access off I-25 in Cheyenne. Good power and water pressure. Their laundry is reasonably priced, with a place to sit outside while you wait for it to finish. They have Hunt's Pizza that you can call in for and then pick up at the office. read more

Tent camped here for Cheyenne Frontier Days. Was told the "shuttles" would come every thirty minutes. Waited over forty five minutes to get to the event . Staff is rude. Many of the tent campsites are placed very poorly - behind dumpsters, right next to the busy road. Apparently they're changing owners for next year so hopefully things will improve. read more

Made a reservation and was told 24 hour cancellation policy but now I needed to cancel the reservation 6 days prior and told no refund as they have a 7 day cancellation policy. One star rating since ) star is not an option. They are part of Open Road Resorts so my guess all of their properties operate the same way. read more

We had rain during the night, so we had mud all around our camper. There was barely any gravel at our site. The showers barely allow room to turn around. Shower curtains for the shower door and dressing area and the outside bathroom door doesn't lock or have a code. read more

We tent camped here in 2021 for Cheyenne Frontier Days. The tent sites were towards the back of the campground in a good location. We tent camped there again this year. They moved the tent sites right next to the busy two lane road that services I-25. With only scrub bushes as a barrier, the sounds of cars, trucks and Semis didn't allow for sleeping. According to my wife, the women's bathroom was clean. Not so much for the men's side. Disappointed. Won't be back. read more

Nice little campground with a great barbecue restaurant attached to it! Reasonable rates for full hookups and the restaurant was a bargain as well. I have a 45 foot toyhauler and easily fit in my site. Pay attention coming in to the signs to make sure you turn in the correct entrance. read more

What made our stay for Cheyenne Frontier Days so special here was the staff who are so friendly and truly go above and beyond. I called hoping to get a full hookup and she tried so hard for us. When we arrived she came running out immediately after we were assigned our tent spot to say she got us a spot with us electricity. Throughout our stay, they were warm and friendly, telling us "Hello" whenever they saw us. Not to mention, the husband that is the master behind the on-site BBQ place has done an incredible job with A.B. BBQ! read more

Nice size lots and two dog parks (that could really use some attention). Clean facilities and super quiet park conventional located off of I-25 and to Cheyenne. Their onsite Bbq restaurant is the bomb diggity too! Moderately priced. I'd stay here again for sure. read more

Don't let the website scare you away!! We really enjoyed staying here. The camp residents are really quiet, and only a few miles from Historic downtown Cheyenne. We stayed in the back row against the storage facility. Pro-nobody walks behind you. Very private. Con-depending where you are you have either a partial view or full view of the storage unit! There is no pool or fire pit. Sites are kind of close together, and our site didn't have a table, but it was no problem for us. There is a delicious BBQ restaurant ON THE PROPERTY. It's not too expensive and it's delicious! Jane the manager is super sweet but will not tolerate mean, cranky people-- so be nice! We would come back. read more

Fantastic! The best BBQ in town right here at our very own camp ground. The restaurant is clean the staff is friendly and the menu is out of this world. I had the pull pork meal and my husband had the two meats plate......it was DELICIOUS....seriously if you live in town or just passing by you will not be disappointed...and if the chief is in a good mood he may even squeeze the pig...LOL. read more

We normally stay here when passing through, so I called on the way there and told her we would be there late , so will you need a credit card number now? She said " well since I won't be here then , yes" so she gave me the instructions and when we pulled in I couldn't find the info box she had told me about. There is an after hours number on the door to call, husband called and got literally chewed out on the phone that we did not follow her instructions. Then I found the info. It is almost impossible to get set up there in the dark, the overhead light constantly went on and off. Will most likely stay somewhere else from now on. Our first time staying here and we loved it! Stayed for 6 nights to attend Cheyenne Frontier Days. First and foremost you won't find any better family run campground anywhere near here!! They are all awesome and go out of their way to do anything for you. Great job Jane, Mark, and family! The sites are kind of small but we found them to be cozy and sweet! Our surrounding neighbors were very nice and respectful. The trees allowed for nice shade. The restrooms were clean and accommodating. The BBQ restaurant on site was fabulous! Quiet times were perfect and respected. They accommodated us by using their own personal vehicles to get us back and forth to CFD. The city really let them down by cancelling shuttle service to CFD just two weeks before the event. Kudos to that family run business for proving to be on top of things by using their own vehicles!! We sure appreciate everything you did to make our experience great! We are already looking forward to staying there next year for CFD. read more

It took over a week to get confirmation for a reservation, but we were glad to get in here fir a night on our cross country trip. We got the very last spot at the back, best to the restroom and laundry, which I did not mind as I have mobility issues and wanted to use the laundry and showers. Neither were very clean or in good repair. Only one washer out if 3 was plugged in and operative, and it didn't spin my small load. I wrung them out as well as i could and put them in the only working dryer, out if 3, and put in a dollar. After $3, and a couple of hours, the clothes were still not dry so I had to improvise hanging damp clothes all over our camper all night. The worst part was the "don't care"attutude when I called the office. There was also no wi fi and they told us the rain knocked it out and someone was coming to fix it, but other long term campers said it had been out for days and was crappy even when it worked. showers were not too clean, hot water and pressure ran out after 4 or 5 minutes. If you stay here in a tent you are making a mistake. Don't do it. As other reviewers have stated the tent camp area is an afterthought on the part of this camp ground. They truly do not seem to be interested in tent campers and are more concerned with RV campers. Campers literally take their dogs for a poop on the tent camp sites. The tent camp area shares space with a chicken coop. You will literally be a few feet away from a chicken/duck/goose coop. The goose will be honking at ALL hours of the night and day and that infernal honking will keep you up at night. The playground and mini-basketball court is right next to the coop and your tent. The tent camp area is a small grassy field wedged between Business Highway 25 and the main campground road including the high traffic area bathroom/laundry/office/BBQ restaurant. Business Hwy 25 will be about 25 feet away from your tent. That highway has 18 wheelers and cars passing at ALL hours of the night and you WILL hear them roaring by all night long. The tent ground is NOT LEVEL, a slight incline of about 5 degrees. Enough that water will roll down and you will want to place your head uphill. The basketball court about 2 feet away and the awning with the fire grills about 5 feet away have level concrete floors so you could pitch your tent on those if you don't mind sleeping on concrete. The campground reportedly has quiet hours starting at 10PM. It will not be enforced nor will anyone be notified of it. It appears that the other campers are aware that this campground does not actually have or enforce quiet hours and they will proceed to be loud until whenever they please. The tent ground has tent lots VERY close to each other. About 4 feet between tents. The wifi around the camp area will be very spotty. It will cut in out every couple of minutes. They turned on the 2 Gigahertz and 5 Gigahertz channels on their router and they added what looks to be about 4 total extenders in an effort to get coverage over the entire camp ground. If you setup more than one of the connections your wifi connection will freak out and keep switching channels over and over as it attempts to get a working signal from one connection to another. If you only setup one of the channels you will get a spotty connection if you move away from the bathroom/laundry/office/BBQ area. Basically, setup just one connection and stay near the buildings. When I was checking in I was advised to NOT ask about moving to a different empty campsite further away from the chicken coop or road because, "we have campers who have been coming here for years." The implication being that these sites were reserved for special loyal customers. While I was there, out of the 10 tent sites, I only saw 1 or 2 others being occupied on any other given day. They literally crammed people as close to Highway 25 and and the coop as possible while the sites 20 feet further away from these very noisy areas were empty the ENTIRE TIME I WAS THERE. I wondered why... during my stay I noticed that people were taking their dogs out for a crap on the vacant tent sites... So you are basically pitching your tent in a tent camp/dog run. The bathrooms are old but relatively clean. If you come here during the Cheyenne Frontier Days prices will be about double the listed rate. The BBQ from the restaurant smells good but I honestly did not want to give them anymore money than was absolutely necessary. The folks running this place seem like nice people. They just couldn't care less about their tent camping and where campers dogs are crapping. You WILL NOT GET ANY SLEEP OR PRIVACY WHILE YOU STAY HERE IN A TENT. If your intent is to find a good tent area to party then this is your place, otherwise avoid this place like the plague. read more

We stayed 2 nights.....very quiet campground. No problems. My only complaint is that the sewer hookups are kind funky and difficult to use. Easy in and out of the park and plenty of room to park your truck after you unhook. We even tried the BBQ they offer nightly.....hubby loved the ribs....I wasn't as fond of the brisket or the sides. The flavor didn't stand out....$18 for 2 dinners including sides (no drink). Laundry facility was clean....and the staff was great. I'd stayed here again if in the area. read more

Last minute road trip over Labor Day weekend and didn't really expect to find a spot. We called the same day and was told they could accommodate us if we didn't mind the overflow spots. We had some trouble with road work and traffic putting us quite a bit behind schedule. They stayed late and helped us out. Thinking overflow meant a parking lot out back some where we were quite surprised we had a nice grassy area with electricity. Since all our tanks were in good shape we were thrilled with the site. My husband & I were traveling to Yellowstone & needed to stop for the night. It was late, & I looked up R.V. Parks in Cheyenne, Wyoming & this one came up at the top. I read the reviews, & we decided to stop here. We wanted a 50 Amp Plug in, but those spaces were all taken, so (I think what was the owner) told my husband to just park along the fence long way where the 30 Amp plug-in's were & he told my husband "tonight is on us". These camp grounds are good if you were wanting more of a hotel feel but didn't want to spend the extra buck on one. They have the cleanest nicest restrooms with showers I have ever seen at a campground. They also have wifi so you can work or bring your laptop for movies. Camping is along someone's house fence so it's like you're camping in there back yard and your neighbors tent is about five feet from yours so that is pretty awkward. It's more of a outdoor hotel then actual camping. read more

Our first impression as Lifetime Good Sam Members of an RV park is making the reservation and checking in...our first clue should have been no email confirmation for our one night pull thru reservation. Using WAZE GPS we arrived at another entrance not the front one and had to make a 90 degree turn with a big rig Motorhome and vehicle in tow. Unfortunately we had to disconnect the vehicle or take out the entrance gate. When checking in at the office the owner's wife said: "You used WAZE GPS and you shouldn't have. My husband would be very mad if he had to repair that gate. If you come back do not use WAZE GPS." She then informed me upon exit to drive through the park and NOT to use the road we came in on! The Good Sam ratings of 8, 9.5, 8 left us in disbelief....tight sites for a Big Rig with dust and tree branches to dodge. Rolled up Astro turf, piles of limbs, and a mixture of campers from tents to boats to trailers, 5th wheelers, and Class A Motorhomes. We didn't use the restrooms or WiFi. On a positive note the beef brisket and pulled pork were delicious. We will not be returning. read more

VERY CLEAN and well kept, level pull through sites and sweet lawn sites for tents....easy to find . the very best bbq in their little restaurant makes it really great at the end of the long drive across to get here. We stopped with our fifth wheel for two nights enroute from Mt. Rushmore to Colorado Springs. My furnace sputtered and died. Soonest appointment locally was November (This was Sept. 30) and there was no mobile RV repair closer than Laramie. The park owner (Marc) spent a couple hours and called a friend to help. Discovered my 'board' was fried. I went to local RV supply and replaced it. The next morning we had no hot water, could not retract the 5 slides and nothing requiring the 12v system worked. Marc again spent over two hours helping check my entire 12v system. Discovered the fuse slot for the BCM loses contact and takes out the whole system. Once again he refused pay, just jokingly said to leave before something else broke. I'm not as impressed with our new Keystone Montana as I am with the selfless willingness to help someone of these park owners. The park is not new but is very well maintained and has all the standard amenities, it also has some of the best bar b que I've eaten in a long time, at a very reasonable price. They start serving at 4:00, don't be late they often sell out. DON'T miss the ribs (OMG)! Unbelieveable service and friendship. read more

We had intended to stay three nights. When we saw the site we about died. Maybe 16 feet across total, the sewer dump didn't have any threads, so it just sat in the tube, the cable end coming out of the ground would need an adapter for any cable an rv'er would bring along. We should have left when we saw it, but it became really clear in a heartbeat how tiny this space was when both sides of us filled up. We stayed one night with the shades drawn and found a new RVPark for our other two nights. Reserve this one for a one night stand. read more

Great for one night. Office and BBQ rest are discussingly filthy. Can't take a simple reservation. It takes two people to check you in. They lie about the road leaving the park. Instead of just saying the neighbors don't like rv's driving through the area they say the raid is too narrow. Over all just real poverty projection of the place. read more

When we made our reservations to stay one night here..I was quoted the amount for the stay with Sams Discount..I asked if there were any other discounts and was told no..but we will give you two for one bbq when you arrive. We arrived today...and were told no one would have said that. So I guess I'm a lier!!! We've stayed here many times in he past but we won't again. they were rude when we sign in and we were also told no problem with satellite..it took us 20 minutes to get motor home in spot by the trees.
