A pretty mix of medium-cost flowers arranged in a basic inverted glass vase. The flowers lasted about a week and a half, which was about a week more than the first bouquet my fiance'd sent me had. They were very sparse and a few were already wilted. I am extremely disappointed in not only the flower arrangement but also the response I got from Bella Mia. I called last week to place a "sympathy order." The woman who answered the phone, mia or amelia or something like that, sounded rushed, uncaring, business-like and dismissive. She started off with getting payment info, not ending with it. When it came to the part where you put a note on the the card, she quickly recited two common three-word phrases such as "with our condolences" or "our deepest sympathy" instead of asking ME what I'd like to put for a note, like something personal. She did the same thing when it came to the arrangement. As the call concluded she stated "sorry for your loss" but the phone basically clicked before she finished the word "loss." By contrast, I had to order one small rose from a shop in dorchester a few days later to be delivered to a funeral home. The woman who answered was genuinely caring and helpful, a good listener and patient. She didn't even charge me for delivery to the funeral home because she said she had other deliveries going to the same home that morning. My husband sent me flowers for Valentine's Day. I understand it's literally the busiest day for flowers however, I must say this is the worst arrangement I've ever gotten. To start, the note wasn't written right. There were supposed to be chocolates, they were not included. I put off this review because I didn't want to come across as emotional, but I think it's best that future customers know what they are in for. I had ordered The Pretty and Vibrant bouquet at around 8am in early April. The website promised same day delivery if an order was placed by 2pm. I received an email that night saying my flowers were delivered. I called my recipient to see if she has received the flowers; she hadn't. I called the owner the next morning confused why I would have an email saying the flowers were delivered when they weren't. And also, why weren't they when I was promised same day delivery? The owner immediately took an unkind tone with me and asked, "do you even know what's going on in the world right now?" She complained that she felt like she was getting sick but had so many orders to fill and mine just didn't make the cut that day. I didn't feel like being anyone's punching bag, so I just thanked her and chalked it up to a loss. When my recipient got them, she sent me a picture of flowers that looked unhealthy. **UPDATE*** as of 4/26/20 The owner responded saying she gave me a full refund, which is what she said she would do when we initially spoke. However, I was only refunded for the delivery fee and taxes (bank statement attached) To the owner STOP LYING and trying to cheat people!! BEWARE! If I could give 0 stars I would. I'll preface this by saying I have never left a review but I had such an unpleasant experience that this merits a post. I placed an order for my mother's birthday by phone at Dedham Flower Shop without knowing that A Bella Mia Flower would be fulfilling the order. I specifically asked for roses and lilies along with any filler flowers the florist would like. I also asked for light colors specifically requesting light blush colors. I understand that these flowers may not be available given the current circumstances in which case I would have expected a phone call to allow me to change my order. My mother received something completely different that what I had paid for. The total of the order came to $94 yet these flowers do not reflect that value. The receipt clearly states "premium" which I'm pretty sure these flowers are not. After multiple phone calls and an email through out the day I was finally able to speak with Marie, the owner who was incredibly difficult and rude. Although I realize that whoever took my order over the phone was not clear in what I requested and that Marie just fulfilled the order per the confirmation Marie did not handle this situation well at all. She yelled and complained that I should not be worried about flowers in the middle of a pandemic and that she the business is struggling yet she fulfilled 200 orders today! A Bella Mia (aka Norton Florist) was incredibly speedy with same day delivery. That was terrific and earned them one star. The arrangement, however, was not what I ordered and paid for. I ordered the Brightest Smile Bouquet which is supposed to be filled with lilies, poms, roses, etc. in bright summer colors. Please note . . . not a cheap carnation or fern in sight. Instead my sister received purple and green carnations with excessive inexpensive greenery in lieu of flowers. I contacted the florist twice by email and once by detailed phone message, and received no call or email back. This sad looking vase of carnations came with a price tag of $100. I learned my lesson. Always read reviews before purchasing! This business is a fraud. They claim to sell artfully arranged floral arrangements and deliver instead super market flowers. I received a delivery of flowers today. I immediately noticed the flowers smelled awful! I realized that the yellow roses had been sprayed with what I thought was some sort of spray adhesive, because the chemical smell was outstanding and they were stiff to the touch. When I called the florist to inform them (personally I wanted to ensure that if they had sublet this work out that they knew the quality of the flowers that were being delivered under their name) I was informed that they fulfilled the order and when I advised they the flowers had an extremely foul chemical smell, she advised me that the roses were spray painted yellow and the smell was from the paint. When I shared that the smell was extremely strong and unpleasant and that I would need to throw them away because they were making the room smell unpleasant she just said "ok" I did not ask for a replacement, but I did expect an apology or at least a thank you for the feedback, neither of which I received :( read more

The flowers were delivered promptly by A Bella Mia Flowers; however the arrangement was not what was described on the sendflowers.com website and was inadequate. After reaching Marie directly and explaining the situation, she immediately contacted one of her drivers and had them deliver additional flowers needed to fulfill a pretty arrangement, at 8:30PM in the evening. We ordered a $100-plus arrangement of roses and delphiniums to be delivered and they delivered ugly colored carnations and daisies you can get at Stop and Shop for $10! Sadly this bouquet looks like a hand full of flowers were just plunked into a vase. All the stems were cut the same length and sat high above the vase. The spray roses are missing and not replaced by another flower. Sadly there are 3 show flowers and 1 is dead and another on the verge. You would think they should be alive for a day. I ordered an arrangement in March along with a candy add on. They called to tell me that they ran out of candy and would refund it. Not very helpful when I wanted to have the candy and and flowers together. I decided to be flexible and overlook that since the flower arrangement would be so vibrant and dramatic (from the picture) for a friend dealing with devastating issues related to COVID 19. The arrangement was to be a bright display with fushia gerber daisies. Well, gerber daisies were replaced with cheap pink carnations. The arrangement was sparse even though I ordered the larger arrangement and was just an ordinary cheap arrangement you could get at the grocery store. It looked nothing like the picture of deep pink, orange and green. It was white mums, pink carnations and roses. I wrote to the shop to complain as I feel that if you can't deliver even close to what is pictured (regardless of the circumstances), inform me and I will make the choice to go somewhere else. In contrast, I ordered another arrangement from a shop in downtown Boston for the same day and it was gorgeous (even with substitution flowers). In response to my complaint, Maria Noe, the owner sent me a long self centered run on response with a diatribe of her woes, telling me that there are no guarantees and I should be "grateful" for what I got. She went on to say that she and her driver are risking their lives. She proclaimed that she may not be here tomorrow. Since A Bella Mia Flowers is a business and not a charity, I don't see that I should expect less than what I paid full price for. If you can't deliver what you are advertising, inform your customer and I can make the choice if I still want what you are offering instead. I ordered 4 items from this florist, the first two directly from their online website, and the second two over the telephone. The total value was just under $1000.00 for all 4 items. The items are described below, and the problems with each item is also described. I contacted the retailer numerous times prior to delivery, asking the florist to send photos prior to delivery so that I could have a chance to accept the product or request changes. I had wanted to order a 5th item, but the photo that was given to me was extremely homely, and did not look like a guitar. I asked her to remake the item and I provided reference photos for that item. I was then sent two photos of the second item on the list below, and it looked nothing like the photo on the website or the text description. I gave my reasons verbally over the telephone, and followed up with a detailed text message to the florist designing my arrangements. I again told the florist to contact me with photos as she went along so that I could make sure that the items were per the website. I never again heard from the retailer. I tried to contact her the next morning, and my call went unanswered. I had my daughter call, and the owner answered, and told my daughter she had been in the hospital, and was just getting back that morning, and that she didn't see the order there, so they must have already been sent to the funeral home. These items were for my mother's funeral, and I chose the first two items based on the appearance of the item and item description as shown on the website. When I arrived at the funeral home, I found the 4 items already there, and there was no representative from the florist on site. I showed many friends/relatives photos that were provided to me, and they could not believe what I had paid for such lousy looking flowers. Some even laughed at the arrangements and how ugly and unskilled they were in their makeup and design. Some others compared the other flowers that came from other florists, and compared prices of those being much lower for much much better looking arrangements. I felt crushed - here it was my dear mother's wake, and I was embarrassed by these flowers. Not a single one of these items were acceptable. They were: ALL PINK ROSE CASKET COVER (premium level, invoiced for $534.46): PROBLEMS: A) The funeral director told me that the foam holding the flowers was waterlogged when it arrived. So much so that he had to drain it. He stated that it was not very stable. B) The photo shows white baby breath/small flowers intermittently placed. My arrangement had none. C) When the church service was held the next day, I asked the funeral director to bring that arrangement to set on the casket. That day, they were not there. I asked the funeral director why, and he said that the arrangement was so unstable due to the poor workmanship and the wet foam, that the foam broke into pieces, so it could not be used any longer as a display. D) There were not $500+ worth of flowers. The casket cover only had roses on the front half. We counted about 40. When I spoke to the florist shop owner the day after the burial, she said that there were 5 dozen roses. There were not. This was verified by my count when I saw the arrangement prior to the wake, and also by my daughter via photographs. E) Price switch: The website says that the premium level for this arrangement is $449.99. The flowers chosen to make up the white base of the heart contained centers that were yellowish-green, which totally changed the look and feel of the arrangement. B) The arrangement of the roses were not like they were in the photo, which shows a north-south orientation. The photos showed a north-south and an east-west arrangement of roses. C) The photo on the website shows an entire green border around the heart. The photos sent to me showed none. D) There appeared to be spaces that showed the foam through between the flowers in the photos sent to me, showing that the number of flowers used were insufficient to cover the area. This also broke up the entire 'solid white' heart with lots of green that should not have been there, which is not how the item is described in its title on the website. Let me start by saying that I understand it is the Valentine's holiday and florists are BUSY. I normally skip flowers for this reason but decided to take a chance. I placed my order with FTD 10 days in advance, and the flowers arrived on my desired delivery date. However, order fulfillment was assigned to A Bella Mia (I did not select them), and the result is a bouquet that vaguely resembles what I ordered online, but that is filled with beat up, dried out, dying flowers. After searching the internet, I find I am not alone in my experience. I contacted the USAA FTD service center and they have ordered a replacement bouquet to be delivered within the next 72 hours. I hope that the new bouquet is up to FTD's usual high standards. read more

My husband ordered flowers for my mother's funeral. I will say the two bouquets we ordered were beautiful however the flowers in the casket spray were sad to say the least. Wilted enough that when I said something to the funeral director he tried to turn it around to see if the other side was better (it wasn't). It cant be fixed....what's done is done, but the owner should have provided my husband with some money back. My mother's main request was to have beautiful flowers and needless to say the casket spray fell short of that. I wish I had researched florists more but it was limited time and I am not from Massachusetts so it was a shot in the dark. Do your research and shop around before you decide on a florist. By the way I emailed the business two times and my sister emailed once and we have received ZERO response. Not the way to run a business. read more

My children sent me a mother's day "arrangement" this year. There was NO arrangement at all. There were a bunch of supermarket type flowers put in a mason jar (not even a pretty vase) and filled with dirty water. There was nothing arranged at all. There wasn't even flower food to help the flowers flourish. Although I was touched by the thought, I was disappointed with the lack of care and presentation. A few days later, I received a bouquet from the supermarket which were much prettier and actually came with powered food. The supermarket flowers lasted a full week longer than the disappointing mess from this florist. I would NOT recommend. read more
