We have used A Better Day Pigeon Control twice now and I completely forgot to write a review. Requested a quote from these guys back in 2020. Their prices were reasonable and they were able to come back in a few hours to do the install that same day! Our roof was pressure washed and optical gel treatment was done. The staff was friendly and did a good job cleaning up before leaving. For those who don't know, optical gel is a deterrent using sight and smell. It apparently looks like fire to the birds. Very impressive, as it definitely does a great job of keeping the birds away! Since their service was excellent, I called them again a few months ago to see what they could do for our solar panels. We noticed that birds were starting to come around after we got them installed. Again, they quoted a reasonable price and they came back to screen off our solar panels a few days later. I'm happy to report that our roof is bird free! Overall the team was awesome and took the time to do the job right! These guys came out and gave an estimate with photos and detailed what they were going to do. Once I signed the contract, they scheduled an appointment a couple days later to do the work. The pigeons aren't completely gone. They are still hanging out so I may need to get more spikes placed near the edges of the roof since thats where they're hanging out. read more

I got an estimate from these guys back in October but wasn't able to hire them until just recently. They came out and installed grates on my solar panels, and alcoves, pressure washed the roof and panels, and even cleaned up the pigeon poop around the sides of my house! They came out to give me an estimate on another repairing another companies poor workmanship. They went on the roof, took pictures and said they needed to fix all of the wire around all of my solar panels but I only want one area where the pigeons are nesting under the panel. The guy said he would ask his boss if they could do that. Well, I've never heard back from them. I have sent messages, texts and emails with not even the slightest bit of perfessionalism to tell no or anything. Las Vegas has a pigeon problem and it's illegal to solve that problem with a BB gun. I sought out another company to clean my roof and put up a deterrent for pigeons. The guy quoted me $250 and then never showed. The guys from a Better Day Pigeon Control were hooking up a neighbor and came over to my house and hooked me up on the spot. I hoped for a better service based on initial communication. They made certain to claim they "aren't looking to make a million dollars off of one person," which should have been a clue. First they did come out fast and give a quote. They described the best course of action. What we ended up with is a blight on our newly built home. Suffice to say they seem to think it's acceptable to have a huge metal cage protruding off the front roof. I hoped they could change it to be more flush or something; can't say I know anyone that wants their home to be the ugly one that brings the block down. What I got was more "we aren't trying to make a million dollars," and a fleeting statement of working with me. With a new quote for more services and no possibility of changing or removing the prison cells on my roof without cost (unless I paid for spikes), or reimbursement for the cages, it became apparent that making hundreds of dollars off of one person was a clearer intent. read more

Where do I even begin?!? Long over due review...We had solar panels installed on our roof but never knew they were a prime spot for pigeons to roost and nest... Our son started complaining that he had a difficult time sleeping because in the wee hours of the morning all he could hear was "coo...coo...coo" We told him he can sleep through it LOL and paid little attention to it...Then the cooing started to get louder and we started to hear a lot of scratching noises on the roof and the final straw was when we had heavy rains and all that disgusting, nasty, poisonous poop dropped all on the side of our house! I called several Pest Control companies to come out got several estimates but told me they wouldn't be able to start until they ordered materials that could take several days...Todd and his crew came out and wasted no time and climbed up onto our roof to see the terrible damage these pigeons had done and OH MAN it was BAD! He promptly showed me pictures and had emailed me a quote right on the spot! I asked when can you start? He said right NOW! I just had to get the ok from the husband and as soon as he gave me the ok, I told Todd it's a GO! Todd and his crew did a SUPERB JOB! So I had my solar panels cleaned last month (May 3, 2022). When they cleaned it, they did a great job and my solar panels were clean. It has now been over 5 weeks since my treatment and my solar panels and roof have bird poop back. This team uses peppermint as a deterrent. When I asked how good it is, they said to wait 2-3 weeks for the pigeons to leave my area. I still have a few birds gathering on my rooftop and solar panels. So I honestly do not know how effective that deterrent is for other owners but they weren't really effective because even after 4 weeks there were pigeons gathering. They are a no-kill pigeon control team and do not like to trap. If you want them to come back again, they will for a $95 service fee. Communication with them is so-so. It takes a while to reach them. It is best to do it by phone than by e-mail/text. I've had 5 quotes to do my solar panels and roof. All these companies provided a free estimate. They were the 2nd highest bidders. I only chose them because the highest bidder would trap the pigeons but it would cost twice the amount with a lifetime warranty on their solar panel "critter guard". While the 3rd highest said "They do not warranty. They guarantee no pigeons." This team has a 5 year warranty for their solar guard. read more

This is an update as I put my first set of solar panels in 2014. At that time Todd came out (A Better Day Pigeon Control) and took care of the panels and was amazing. I even had to call him a few days later because pigeons are relentless. He assured me that within a few weeks, the pigeons would get the hint and would leave and if not to call him. He of course was right. I just added additional panels in 2021 to offset my electric bill by 115%. The solar company reneged on their promise to cover the cost of the critter guards. I knew who to call but was very slow in doing so. By the time I called Todd (Danielle is who answers is great) there were literally mounds of pigeon droppings!!!!! Todd and the crew literally just left my house and they did an incredible job. They disinfected, power washed and added peppermint to the roof and they not only covered all the new solar panels, but they went back and fixed some the previous critter guards that had loosened over time (they were 8 yrs old). Todd was even generous enough to add some protection over a couple of my windows. I have referred the company to my coworkers and anyone requesting a name of a great company. Horrible experience! Embarrassing company. Significantly overpriced and the job was exceedingly poor. I had this company come out to place spikes on my roof and clean off the pigeon feces and nests in an effort to deter the pigeons. They took a pressure washer and sprayed all the feces from the roof onto my patio, my BBQ, and surrounding my patio furniture. I came home to clumps of feces everywhere. A bird egg was left on my grass which my dog then ate. When I called to complain they seemed willing to make it right however when they came back to clean up what they left a mess, there was still feces everywhere. I had specifically requested that they not just use a pressure washer to blow the feces from my patio into my artificial grass, however my cameras surrounding my house show that they in fact did just that. I will now have to take a shop vac and clean the feces out of my grass. I am disgusted with this company and am embarrassed for them. read more
