I had pigeon proofing, roof cleaning, and solar proofing work done on my roof from these guys in Arizona. I paid over $2,000 for the work and my pigeon problem continues. Their guarentee is a joke, their guarentee is basically if you pay us more money we will try something else, they wont even give you a discount if they have to come back out multiple times to try something new. The solar proofing job they did made my problem worse. They did not use the correct material and clamps on my panels, they just used flexible mesh folded in on itself. This has caused pigeons to press on the cheap flexible mesh, forming their own beds across my solar panels. The new exterminators I hired said the cheap flexible materials used on my panels is most likely the reason why I still have pigeon problems. Some of the non solar pigeon proofing work they performed started falling apart a couple months after the work was performed. I believe this is due to low quality materials and not the fault of the techs. I am currently working with another pigeon exterminator to replace the mesh on my solar panels with the correct materials and clamps. They also replaced some of the deterances that fell apart (The Pigeon Specialist work). If you end up hiring these guys for solar panel proofing, make sure they use the correct material and clamps. I waited over TWO WEEKS for the "PIGEON SPECIALIST" to come and do the job. Baseed on speaking with the owner Barry. He said 90% of the time clean up takes about an hour at 89.00 per hr plus 350.00 for installing spiking so the pigeons do not return. So a total of 439.00 When his crew got here they quoted 2 HOURS for clean up and 495 for installing spiking. So a total of $674.00. I was fine with the 495.00 but I questioned Barry on why the clean up was so much since the birds have not been there that long only a few months. I asked why would it be TWICE the cost for clean up. He said he is not there that is just what his guys told him. I let him know my husband does appliance repair and he charges on the 1/4 hour so if it takes an hour and 15 min that is what he charges because he believes you should only charge for the time it takes. I asked him if I time how long it actually takes for his crew to clean up would he also bill on the quarter hour not the full hour if it only took them an extra 15 minutes. He was offended at my questioning his billing and said that is how he bills. He became extremely rude and said get another company and hung up the phone. We discussed different options and after giving me knowledge of what pigeons do and what each option does, we came up with a good solution for a very FAIR price! I chose a heavy duty cage wire, not a netting or chicken wire. The workers came on the assigned day and knocked out the troublesome spots. The workers were very polite and attentive to any concerns I had. I had 1 question and they resolved it even though it was not necessary for the job. That's customer service! I worked with Scott on this, and he's legit. I initially had some work done to install bird spikes on some ledges and cross beams and it was done quickly and at a fair price. I then had another need for some netting to prevent pigeon access to a ledge. They again came out quickly and at a good price, but I wasn't 100% satisfied as the metal attachments looked very noticeable and my discussions with Scott emphasised the need for a 'low profile', blended look. After another couple of calls, Scott sent his team out to paint the metal attachments and it looks much better. A pretty solid company, and I'd call them again for any more work. read more

Scott's the man! My A/C went out and the A/C company refused to work on it because I had dead pigeons in my unit. They gave me a great deal and helped me out a lot so I could speed up the process of getting my A/C fixed. They called me and talked to me pretty much every step of the way to let me know what is going on and sent me pictures of the after product. We had a bad pigeon problem at our home in Chandler that backs to a lake. Barry quickly sent his crew out and after a few attempts the pigeons have moved on. When asked be sure to use the netting instead of the wire to help keep pigeons out. A little more $ but worth it. read more

I used The Pigeon Specialist back in 2012 to construct a bird cage around my roof top a/c unit which turned out great. In May 2015, I started hearing pigeons again on my roof. With 1 phone call, I had Scott out to the house to review the issue and provide an estimate. This is when all the problems started. It took over a week to get the estimate. After 2 emails, I finally received the estimate. I signed the estimate for "roof cleaning, front of house cleaning, removal of 2 nests above garage door and additional screens added". Scott came back out to clean and add screens. The very next morning, I hear cooing and scratching. I call letting Kathy know that I can still hear the cooing and scratching after Scott came out. I was given another day for Scott to come out, which he did because a business card was stuck in the door. He didn't do anything, because the next morning, once again I hear cooing and scratching. At this point and I am just irritated. I went outside to check out Scott's latest fix and noticed 2 pigeons inside the cage and a hole in the netting next to the zipper! Frustrated I call once again and received a message back that Scott would be back. I purposely stayed home all day on that Friday to discuss with Scott. He neither showed up, nor called. The following Monday called very upset about Scott's no call, no show and when I got home there was a business card in my door. I went outside to check out Scott's latest fix and noticed, to my disappointment, all he did was change out the zipper, he did NOT fix the hole. On Friday August 7, I climbed onto my roof to the fix the netting. When up there I noticed 8 birds scurry out of the cage between the netting and house. Furious, I fixed the hole next to the zipper and then had to climb back down to get more twine to fix the hole next to the house. The service I received from this company is appalling. I have no problem paying a company to provide a service; however when I have to climb a ladder to fix what I have already paid for, I find it infuriating. Called to schedule an appointment. Guy told me that I will get a call back in a few hours the same day to make the appointment for an estimate. Didn't hear anything back till the next day. Scheduled the appointment for a technician to come in 2 days later. 2 days passes and didn't see or hear from them at all. Finally a week later, Scott shows up to the home unannounced to do the estimate. Gave me an estimate in which I accepted and he told me that they can come back sometime that same week to do the job after I sign the authorization form. He told me that he will email me the authorization form later that night. He didn't email it to me till 2 days later. When I received it, I signed it and emailed it back to him. Did a good job on installing the netting and removing old spikes. However, left a massive amount of nails, tacks, and random metal pieces all over my driveway (probably found 15-20 pieces so far). Four days later I'm still finding metal pieces sharp enough to puncture a tire. Would have appreciated proper cleanup especially given the price. Told the secretary and never heard a word back.
