We've been using A Better Pool Service for a while now. This is the second house we've used them at, my mom was the first to recommend them to me after I was constantly complaining about my last pool company. Making the switch was the best decision. They come out very fast every time I have an issue or concern with any equipment. If they don't know the answer, they find someone who does. We especially love Lance, who comes out every week. Our pool is never cloudy or green and he never leaves even one leaf behind! They are all super friendly, even my 3 year old gets excited to go say hi to Lance when he is here. They go the extra mile. They sent out step by step instructions on what to do in case we lose power during the freeze. Lance took that step even further by sending out pictures for those of us who are more visual. The best pool service company ever! Our pool service weekly has been so professional and consistently five star. They communicate and service and respond. But this weekend they went way above their normal great service. I noticed Friday morning that our pool pump was completely removed from the plumbing and water was flowing everywhere. It was like a firehose. I immediately shut the pump off at the circuit breaker and sent and email, a video and photos to A Better Pool Service and Brenda Williams sprung into action and I didn't even know it. So here is the amazing part. On Sunday morning, I went out to check to make sure the pump was still off but hoping to hear from A Better Pool Service on Monday to schedule a repair. To my utter surprise, it was fixed! No email from Brenda no calls. It was an urgent matter than she knew it. It was just repaired. This is the highest level of customer service one can ask for. I dont have words to describe how horrible and one of the bad/worst company in dallass to clean you pool.they destroyed our pool with lots of chemicals even though we have salt pool. People they hire for cleaning are arrogant. we were on vacation they they didn't clean our pool.after 35 days they told us they shut down the pool pump becuase they didnt fill the water.omg they should have told this in begnning. when we came back pool was green and in a big mess. but they kept charging us. then after one week of work and our bill was $1000.still one of the employee yeld at me. how they are in business is beyong me. save your pool dont fire them. read more

Sorry I cannot recommend this pool service company. I tried out A Better Pool Service after buying a groupon. The initial cleaning was good but the second week the pool technician did not clean out the baskets, did not refill any chlorine tablets and did not sweep for leaves. It literally looked like someone had showed up and dumped so much chlorine that my pool was misty white and then left. I left several messages and did not get a call back. After several calls, I finally spoke to a live person who was very nice and admitted they were experiencing consistent complaints with one of their techs and they would assign me a new one. And they did give me an extra week free of charge. Unfortunately the next week, the same thing happened. I had to take more pictures to prove my point. Anyways, I ended my groupon without signing up for weekly service cause of my experience. But not after getting super into paying for a month of poor service. And I also bought a filter clean and that didn't go so well either.... My advice is to go elsewhere. This is not "a better pool service" read more

To start off I usually don't write reviews. This company is not good. They set up a schedule and wouldn't come on those days. I told them I needed to know for our dogs wouldn't be outside. Cleaning the pool they did horrible at it and always made excuses. The guy would lie and say we kept changing the pool mode. If we were doing anything wrong and putting things in the wrong mode then contact us. Always a excuse they would give to blame us if their was any issues. The guy even got upset at us for treating the pool for algae. Then I email them and say we have algae and they tell us they don't treat for it with the service we have. Which is fine just don't get mad at us for treating the pool for it. We don't want a green pool. Do yourself a favor and go with another pool cleaning company even if you pay a little more it's worth it. Anytime I'd speak to customer service (that is if they ever answer) they would be rude. Thankfully, we found a great company to switch to. They don't work with you to fix the problem just blame you for it. A good company would try to resolve the issue and work with you. read more

Horrible customer service! Actually non-existent service. They changed my weekly cleaning without telling me and then never showed up. Charged me anyway. Took several phone calls to try and get it fixed - no help. Asked to speak with owner 3 times - he would not call me. Recommended him to a family member - they signed up for weekly service, gave them a key and when they returned from vacation - their pool was bright green. Bought a Groupon to get my filter cleaned and an inspection. Just really wanted the filter cleaned. Scheduled an appointment for about a week and a half after I bought it. Was given a time between 2 and 4. Great! About 2:30 that day I called and asked if there was an update on when the tech would be out. Samantha explained to me that they had emergencies over the weekend and they won't be able to get out to me. I explained that I run my own business and had allotted time out of my day to be home to get this done. Anyway rescheduled for a couple of days later. Sent Samantha a text on the new day asking if we're good for 2 to 4 of that day. Never heard back. Called and she said "Oh you never got my text, they ran in to emergencies with our regular customers so we will need to reschedule". I went nuts. I explained to her that I didn't care that there were emergencies a second time and how did she know that I wasn't going to become a regular customer and why would I now? After she explained that she's just the person taking the calls and she only goes by what the techs say I rescheduled again (I know why did I give them another chance??). So today I explained to her that I would be available from 12:30 until 4 so whenever the tech can come I will be here. She wrote back "Ok". I then sent a text at 2:17pm asking for an ETA. Didn't hear back. Wrote at 2:37pm saying "Any updates?". She wrote back at 2:38pm saying "He is at a filter clean now then should be headed your way." At 4:04 (take note that this is now 4 minutes after the latest time he was supposed to be there) I wrote "Got any updates on time?" She wrote back "Still waiting to hear from the tech." I then wrote back explaining that I would need him to be there by 5 (since she had already told me that the filter cleaning would take an hour and we have somewhere to be at around 6) or I would cancel, get my money back from Groupon. Never heard back. Wrote at 4:53pm asking for an update. No response. Wrote back at 5:00pm "Ok cancel my order. Your service has been awful and I will reflect that on any review I can find." So that's what I am doing. To blame it on emergencies time after time and just not showing up is awful. I am a small business owner and customer service has to be my most important aspect of my business or I will not succeed. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere and not even giving this company a chance even if their prices are lower. I would NOT use this pool company. Last year I needed a new pump and I asked for them to replace my mastic. They repaired the pump and did not do the mastic. I just thought they were busy and forgot. This year they replaced my heater, and did not replace the mastic, even though I got a quote for cost. I've tried contacting them through phone and email requests, and they never return a response. I guess they pick and choose what they want to do, and are NOT there for customer support. Just seems like a shady business to me. Just move on and find another company because you're guaranteed full service here! read more

I've been using A Better Pool Service since 2009. I called them when my current pool service told me it was time to drain my pool they could not get the pool from horrible green back to pretty blue. The lead technician of A Better Pool Service came out and treated my pool, it was crystal blue when he was done working on it! He is now the owner, and I know he takes pride in his work and has always gotten me the best price on parts when they were needed for any repairs. I highly recommend them! I have been using A Better Pool Service for almost 4 years. I use their weekly pool service. The team members who come clean our pool are very nice, responsible, and diligent. They clean our pool every Monday and usually on holidays too. I find their prices very reasonable as well. In addition to cleaning our pool, they check the chemical levels and salt levels and replace or add anything necessary to make our pool balanced properly. There is no extra charge for chemicals or salt. Also, A Better Pool Service always let's us know if additional service is necessary. They provide a bid before doing any work. Their service team recently had to replace our controller due to damage from a lightning strike. They were quick to fix the problem for us and made sure it was fixed to our satisfaction. Overall, I am very pleased with A Better Pool Service because our their responsiveness, competitive prices, and dependability. read more
