Really happy with this company. When I bought a house with a pool last year I just continued the same service the previous owner had. When I asked them about getting a heat pump installed, they said they don't do that, gas heaters only. After calling around a bunch of companies, I finally found Superior who was willing to do the heat pump installation. They did a great job, as well as upgrading my lights to color LED, and installing a new variable speed pump, and a new control unit which connects to my wifi so I can manage everything from my phone. It all works great! All the other companies tried to talk me out of getting a heat pump and gave me all kinds of false info about why I shouldn't get one. But it works great and it can heat or cool my pool depending on the outside temperature, which a gas heater cannot do! I also signed up for their regular weekly cleaning and service, which ended up being slightly less expensive than the other company anyway. read more

Had another company do some minor repairs on our equipment, and check everything else out. Everything was working great except for our app on our phone to control the pool. The ScreenLogic app would not connect to outside. He checked everything on the motherboard and it was just fine. It was the inside adapter that was not functioning properly. He recommended we call Pentair for assistance. The company does not provide a human to speak but it did have some ai generated steps to follow, none of those helped. My husband called the company that was on our pool sticker, quite possibly the original company that installed this. We had never used Superior Pools since we've lived here over 10 years. Worst mistake ever!! Tech came out, spent about 30 minutes looking at equipment and said it seems to be just fine, must be the adapter inside. Again, same result as the prior company. Equipment outside is good, must be the inside adapter. Well, after the Superior tech spent trying to fix the inside connections using Google, he determined it was bad. Then he returned to pool equipment and now the mother board was not functioning. Kept shutting off after 2-3 seconds. Tech left and the pool didn't work!! Highly questionable that two people both say the motherboard was fine, only to then have same tech say an hour later oh no, motherboard IS bad. Very questionable! Would not recommend this company just based on this one visit. Always best to read reviews, ask around for recommendations as this day and age anyone can but in business and not be reputable!! read more

Great service and responsiveness! Had a pump leak and they came out asap even though the pump was still running. Offered and provided pricing to fix as well as upgrade. Didn't try to hard sell the upgrade but just provided facts on both options for me to decide. Didn't rush an answer either! Kyle was our service guy and was very communicative in advance of service appt and efficient on the work. Have used them for both simple service and larger issues like this. Unprofessionally unresponsive is my best summary description. Their rep came out to bid on my pool renovation project and committed to giving me two work/price options four or five days later. I explained that he was the final bidder as I needed one more bid from a reputable company to get a good sample and I was holding up my project to receive and analyze his bid. He said he'd deliver the bid the following Tuesday or Wednesday. He also quoted a longish lead time to actually start the work but it wasn't a showstopper imo. On Wednesday I'd heard nothing from him, not even word of a delay. Texted and emailed him and got no response. Waited until 11:00 the next day - no response. Called their office expressing my disappointment and frustration and the guy THEN promptly calls me. No explanation for the delay, no bid produced and no remorse whatsoever. When pinned down on his failure to deliver he tried to slither around my pointed questions by saying that if I were in such a hurry I shouldn't be looking at Superior to begin with. This was patently preposterous as I had previously said I understood the potential start dates, had no problems there and was holding up my bidding process to get his bid. So if their guy can't live up to his initial commitments why even consider doing business with them? The only thing he accomplished was adding a week to my bid collection process. It's pretty well known that the pool business unfortunately has its share of reptilians, bad actors etc so add one more to the tally. If he didn't want my business he should have been professional enough to tell me without wasting my time as he didn't lift a finger on my bid since he left my backyard. If Superior is on your radar for pool renewal work proceed with extra caution. read more

Worst customer service ever. We were working on an estimate scans when I asked for them to itemize their work they stopped responding. That tells me that they can't and are giving off the hip estimates. Not only that but no-one took me serious and treated this like a joke. So they didn't get my business and I don't recommend them at all. Look up Pool Lovers. Great service. Trust worthy asks very accurate on describing the work. I had a service call to check out why my heater was not working and with no call they replaced some O-rings on a completely different unit and charge me almost $200 for three O-rings. They did quote me on replacing my heater for thousands of dollars. After calling around to no less than 10 other companies to get a quote Superior Pool Service came in $1000 more than the next closest quote. If you want to company that thinks a lot of themselves and reflects it through the price then these are your people. I was a customer of three years with them paying $200 - $250 a month for pool cleaning. I have since moved companies for $140 a month I receive more service and they take photographs of when they get here and leave. read more

We bought a new to us property with a pool. The previous homeowner recommended Superior and said he had used them for a number of years with great results. Hence I will leave a star for his experience. Since I had no previous pool experience, I called Superior out to take a look at the equipment and show me how to maintain it. Since they had serviced this pool for years, I also gave the previous owner's name since I thought they would have the information on file regarding that particular system. The person on the phone claimed they did when I booked the appointment. The person who came out claimed to have no knowledge of our pool equipment (it is old but functional) and wanted to upgrade all our valves to new ones to the tune of about $800. Either it was a lie to try and upsell me since I'm new to pools, or a lack of communication internally. I called someone else the next day. read more

I scheduled a pool cleaning with this company for next Wednesday; I got a call back out of the Blue from, I think her name is Beth, and she said: "we've been reviewing some notes on your account, today; and we don't think we are not a good fit for you." She didn't explain why or nothing. I had a brief conversation with Beth during the scheduling, asking if they provided the chemicals after the filter clean; what time, etc etc. I remember the service from two years ago, and I don't know what the hell she was looking at. I only used them once, and Paid in in full with cash. There is one thing that came to mind: They scheduled me on a first call, the service from two years ago, and decided to go to a very ELITE community, instead, to service a pool there, without so much as a phone call to let me know. I waited and waited and decided to call and found out the story. I displayed my dissatisfaction as a paying customer. That's the only thing I can think of. These guys came out to fix a cracked pump housing on Jan 4, 2016. Great work, honest and very knowledgeable technician. He actually fixed a couple of other things while he was replacing the pump housing. The price was extremely fair. We had Superior do a major redo of our pool in July of 2013. Contractors did not show up on time, and the project took months to complete. The guys doing the trench to relocate the drain lines dug a 2 ft trench thru my garden and dumped all of the dirt on top of the plants. That was a Thursday afternoon of a long weekend. Management would not do anything so after working all day I had to go relocate the dirt. Now, less than 5 years later we called them out for what looks like a leak somewhere in the drain lines. Do not use Superior Pools! They lie to you from Day 1. I scheduled to have a crack in my pool repaired last October! I sent a signed copy of the contract for the repair work which I still have if needed! I have been trying to follow up with no avail from any employee. They lack motivation and drive to do anything. They are rude and unorganized. Nobody had any clue about our issue. Emails hold up in Court and I will be filing a complain with the BBB. Take your time and money else where! read more

What started as a good pool service company has become a terrible service provider. I paid for full service cleaning and chemicals and in return received half-service at best. While I paid for brushing of tile, I rarely to never received the service. While I paid for the pump baskets to be emptied, they never received attention. It was only after my constant monitoring and phone calls would they come out and empty the pump baskets. Lastly, my salt system apparently was not working for a year. I was only informed of that fact when the tech had to return to clean my pool in my presence due to the failure to clean the day before (when he was actually scheduled). It was during that encounter he told my salt system hadn't been working for a year and they were just using chlorine. Now that is pretty pathetic service. There are much better - AND CHEAPER service providers out there. read more

Beyond impressed by the level of expertise and just eager to get my pool repairs taken care of. I bought a house with a pool over a year ago, i have been taken advantage of by several pool companies that said they knew what was wrong with it and would charge me thousands of dollars to get the repair "fixed" and would repair it and then the leak would still be there. I was giving up until i called superior and it was a totally different ball game, they came ready to find it, did a full inspection and got it fixed QUICKLY. not a month or two later.
