I was given Ronnie's Instagram page to look at his work, I'll include the link to his Instagram page. I than set up a consultation, put a deposit down and scheduled the appointment for my tattoo. My deposit was $200, but I would not be surprised if the deposit amount is based on the tattoo and the amount of time an artist must reserve on their schedule. The rooms are sectioned off, however, I noticed a larger open area which is not closed off. The room was clean and organized well. There is staff that works the front area and this person will help you navigate the process. They will verify age and medical history as well as provide you with their policies. My tattoo was a very simple black outline. Deciding on the placement of the tattoo took longer than the actual tattoo. Ronnie was patient while I decided on the exact placement and size of my tattoo. While the piercer was starting to remove the smily, I bled a little. I was bit shocked that when I slightly tapped her to stop pulling since it was starting to hurt, she just kept going. Wish she could have been more mindful to stop and made sure if I was ready to go again, felt like my skin was going to get ripped off (ultimately, this is what I was trying to avoid doing it myself) $5 plus some change to remove it, plus if you go when its a little busy you will have to do it on a time when you do not have to time crunch. Beware they charge $50 when you book and then when you get your piece, they don't deduct that from the total of the tattoo on the day of, so they are making $50 on each booking on top of your cost. I will say his tattoo turned out beautifully. They also fail to be clear as to what tattoos qualify for touch ups. If you get a hand/finger tattoo & it dang near completely disappears in a week and you work an office job, you will be recharged the full amount of the tattoo again without the warning of being recharged completely THE NEXT WEEKEND. Make sure you clarify what you will be charged for each booking BEFORE you allow them to touch you; don't trust the 1 touch up in a year will include it. (Mind you we referred another friend who had the same issue within a week with his hand/finger tattoo, as well.) Also...this was not Skyler. I initially asked for 3 small touch up lines of a couple month old tattoo that took the artist 10 min max (I understand cost of overhead) and was charged $200!!!!! Shop minimum is $100-$120. I always pay what I owe, but that was as bad as highway robbery. Within 6 booked visits, we learned our lesson about this place. We kept giving the benefit of the doubt until the straw broke the camels back! Hope this review helps you so you don't learn the lesson the hard way as well. I decided to get this tattoo on somewhat of a whim and was not sure initially where to place it. Once I landed in Dallas and kept flip-flopping location, I settled on the inner bicep. I walked into Fallen Ink to be greeted by a very warm and welcoming group of individuals. I checked in, and they almost felt like family at that moment because of how cohesive the transfer of information/communication was between team members. David sat me down and figured out positioning/alignment and then placed a template onto my bicep and we waited for a few moments. At this point, the butterflies kicked in, as I have not had a tattoo in over 8 years. His demeanor was super calm and confident, he began tattooing. He was fast yet very meticulous and neat with his work. The one thing I respect about this place is the culture. There was a newer artist on David's team and he was super patient and encouraging to this artist's growth and build-up of confidence. I respect good management, I respect good humans. This is one big reason why I would come back and hope David continues to tattoo for decades to come. The entire tattoo took maybe 45 minutes and once we were done it looked better than what I had imagined.
