I was excited when I found a local tattoo parlor. The Rebel Muse is located on Main Street in Lewisville in the same shopping center as the LISD admin. buildings. I'm scared to even opening up this can of worms, but some may want to know. The staff I noticed was not wearing a mask, however, no one said anything negative NOR was anyone confrontational when I walked in wearing one. That's all I'll say about face mask. You would have to call them if you want to know anything official about their mask policies. I prefer digital communication so I initially communicated via email with the business. I was given Ronnie's Instagram page to look at his work, I'll include the link to his Instagram page. I than set up a consultation, put a deposit down and scheduled the appointment for my tattoo. My deposit was $200, but I would not be surprised if the deposit amount is based on the tattoo and the amount of time an artist must reserve on their schedule. The rooms are sectioned off, however, I noticed a larger open area which is not closed off. The room was clean and organized well. There is staff that works the front area and this person will help you navigate the process. They will verify age and medical history as well as provide you with their policies. My tattoo was a very simple black outline. Deciding on the placement of the tattoo took longer than the actual tattoo. Ronnie was patient while I decided on the exact placement and size of my tattoo. I had an awful experience with a new tattoo artist to the shop. All the other artists were booked out months. I made mistake of putting $300 deposit down before I met him. Do not put deposit down until you meet your artist first and ensure they will help design something you want. His entire demeanor from consultation to day of appointment was unprofessional. I felt he didn't want to put in effort to help me design something I wanted either. Long story short- There was a miscommunication about a rescheduled appointment. I showed up to my "rescheduled" appt only to be told by him that I missed my appt and he literally said "I don't want to work with you". I left speechless and shaken by his abrupt attitude. The shop was nice enough to address the issues but they would not return my deposit due to their "no refundable" policy. They offered to transfer deposit to another artist but I no longer felt comfortable going back there. This artist was also going to charge me $1500-2000. I went to 2Groovy Studios in Plano where they only charged me $500 for same design and size. Same quality of work. Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. read more

Giving a 2 for the detailed art but completely disappointed with what I was charged for the size of my tattoo! I saw Eric Cantu and he estimated that my tattoo would take 6 hours and would cost $800. I wanted a larger tattoo that would be the length of my forearm. When he showed me the template he created he said for that size I wanted (which was 2-3x bigger) it would be his full day service which would cost $1500. If he already planned to spend 6 hours on my tattoo for $800 was the difference really that much??? Then he finished my tattoo in 2 hours.... Small! And I was still charged $800. It's beautiful artwork-yes but for the price I paid and the amount of time it took completely not worth it. Not recommending this place to anyone. Clean, beautifully decorated facility, but drove an hour for a completely over priced tattoo! I will be continuing my tattoo work somewhere else. read more

They request a deposit but then don't apply it to the tattoo. In other words. For a $500 tattoo they ask for $100 deposit then when you get the tattoo they ask for $500 as if they were just being paid to hold a spot for you. Excellent service, and beautiful work. I consulted with Trey Edinger to finish off a nerdy chest piece i had started about 11 years ago, but hadnt really finalized my idea. It took a couple weeks to get a set date for a consultation, but that can be expected anywhere. I sent him some images and ideas of where i was going. On the spot he used an image of my existing work, and on an ipad, took some of the things i had sent him and used transparent layers to give a visual of what it would be and threw in some of his ideas. Rebel Muse is the most cleanest and brightest tattoo shop I've been in. By brightest, I mean lighting. Usually tattoo shops are dark inside. My husband has been wanting another tattoo for a few years now. Everyone and their mama wants a tattoo from Liz Cook, but she has a 6 month+ waiting list. He made an appointment with Eddie Molina. I believe he is new or somewhat new and moved here from NYC. Husband wanted to go a week before his appointment to check out the place and meet Eddie. A guy gave us a little tour. I think he said there was 19 guys total at the shop. Not sure if that's including Liz since she travels. Eddie and my husband seemed to get on well. Husband told Eddie what he wanted and Eddie was confident he could do it. At first when my husband told me he wanted plague doctors.. I was like what, why? Not that it was a surprise because he has some crazy, weird tattoos like an alien frog. He says the plague doctors were the original bad asses. Anyway, I didn't go for the appointment. One because his appointment was at 11 am. Who gets a tattoo in the morning? Lol. They close early though for a tattoo shop. Two, I wasn't trying to sit there for no 6 hours... and oh yeah, gotta get the kids from school. Husband is happy with his tattoo. I think it's the nicest tattoo he has. He's two seconds away from famous so he has a little bit of a wait list and he's VERY WORTH IT. I've been watching his work for a while now and decided to reach out. I've found my tattoo shop y'all! After researching on Yelp and various places, I found Rebel Muse. Located in a strip mall that my maps never sends me directly to is this little gem. Clean, friendly, sanitary, safe, edgy, and professional. This is not a I got drunk on a Friday night and want to get a tattoo for $50 bucks kind of place. I made contact, went in for a consultation, gave some ideas on what I wanted then let the professional come up with a design. I love that these are one of a kind designs based on what you want combined with an artistic flair. I knew ahead of time that I wanted to work with Trey Edinger because he does watercolors and I liked his work on Instagram. I've had two "fixes" and one new tattoo from Trey. I had an appointment to get another new one and a "go over" on a current faded design before COVID closed tattoo shops. He reached out to let me know that he will reschedule when it's safe to do so. The staff is really friendly, chill, yet incredibly thorough, they find out allergies if you have any dizzy spell tendencies etc...I was very impressed. When I wanted to get a tattoo I reached out to friends for recommendations. After looking through about a dozen portfolios of recommended artists, I chose James Corgill based on his demonstrated line work and use of color. James was able to meet with me quickly for a consultation. I had several elements that I wanted him to encorporate into a design and I felt really good by how confident he was that he'd be able to do it. I had to wait about 2 months to get in and give a deposit at the consult. The day of the tattoo he had a design for me to approve. He managed to get all the elements in that I asked for and we didn't even need to make revisions. He'd estimated that it would take 3 hours and he was accurate almost to the minute. In addition to a beautiful tattoo (everyone who's seen it has raved about it and how well it was done), he did a great job of applying it. I have very fair skin and I was surprised that I wasn't more red. That's the benefit of having someone with 20+ years of experience: he was able to work with my skin type. The tattoo wasn't as painful going on and it healed very well. I will definitely return to James for my next tattoo. read more

Excellent customer service, exceptional artists, reasonable price. I visited RMT after following the guest artist Allie Already. I got on her schedule about a month and a half prior through Instagram. We then spoke about the idea further and I impatiently waited for my appointment day. A week before, I messaged Allie to see if she needs more information but she didn't. When I arrived, I was elated to be welcomed by a spotless shop, a positive receptionist, and pleasing look. I was given an iPad to complete the information form- a welcome change to the written paperwork. The questions covered my design, agreements, and medical questionnaire. After finishing the form, Allie came up to show me the design, allowing me to modify anything on the design. She did some minor changes (I left the important decisions to the professional) and even made it larger at no extra charge due to the location on my arm. Allie was incredibly professional and made sure I was comfortable for the 5 hours that I was sitting for the tattoo, and made sure that we had adequate breaks. I now have a beautiful starter to my half sleeve that is more than anything o would have ever imagined. I plan on going back to finish my half sleeve! This is one of the most amazing places ever. I recently had the wonderful opportunity to sit for tattoo work performed by one of the proprietors of the establishment, David Mushaney. I had to wait several months for my first appointment, but it was well worth it. David is an incredibly talented artist and just an all-around great human being. His work is creative, his worth ethic unmatched, and just a straight-up genuinely friendly guy. He puts his life and his art on display for all his clients. David's wife, Ellen, does his scheduling and was incredibly helpful in getting the process started and completed. He was thoughtful and appreciated the importance behind my tattoo. His script work was well beyond on point. He didn't just slap it on and rush through it. Instead, he was extremely precise. He was matching a similar tattoo on my other forearm, while still leaving his own mark. Adam KILLED IT!!! This is a friendly, clean, professional shop full of great artists. Your experience will obviously be a bit different, depending on your artist... It's my experience though that no one here is rude or huffy about consults or talking with folks who aren't sure what they want. Some shops feel like they're for regulars only, and this isn't that. The people who work up front and helpful and smart, the artists are all friendly and fun, and it's a great environment. Trey Edinger is a boss!! Emailed him for a consultation and scheduled an appointment to come in for a design, I showed him some references and he spot on got exactly what I had in mind. He listens to your needs/wants and makes sure that it's going to be perfect. Fast forward several weeks ahead and the tattoo session couldn't have been more enjoyable. It was my first piece ever and Trey made sure I was comfortable before we started, even offered to put on a movie for me on Netflix. We took breaks every hour or so to stretch our legs and backs and even with two breaks he was able to finish it in 3 hours as he stated before we began the process. I'm definitely looking forward on getting this piece finished by Trey Edinger! Look for him! You won't be disapponted' update! My experience with Rebel Muse was amazing!!! I am pretty new to the tattoo world but I had such an awesome experience from the first phone call to the end of the tattoo process. My first interaction with Sam answering the phone was so nice. She was very helpful with the process and consultation. She's very friendly and warm. Tattoo artist was Devon and he is awesome, he made the entire experience smooth, he took my tattoo idea and improved upon it to make my piece better than I could have imagined. All of my questions and concerns were answered and he made me feel comfortable the entire time.
