Update: I saw Sarah again and we discussed everything again and how I liked my previous results and what else I wanted to target. We came up with a great plan! I have been having horrible tightness and tension in my shoulders, neck, and upper back. I recently tried therapists at some other places and things just didn't seem to get better. I continued to get more and more sore. Well this man, he's awesome. He was courteous, didn't talk unless it was in regards to the service, very polite, and knows what he is doing. He really pinpointed where the tension was coming from and worked on the spots. The minute I stood up from the table, I could already feel so much of the tension was gone! I loved that he used a warm oil. It really helped with the relaxation piece. He used hot towels to help loosen muscles up. He also sprayed something nice on the headpiece so you breath it in. However, when you factor in the approximately 10 minutes at the beginning for undressing and preparation, and another 15 minutes at the end for getting dressed, the actual hands-on massage time appears to have been closer to 35 minutes, not 60. Additionally, when my husband was asked which areas needed the most attention, he specifically requested focus on his neck and shoulders. Unfortunately, he felt that the therapist spent the majority of the session working on other areas instead of addressing the areas he identified as problematic. Advertising a special for a 60-minute massage when the actual massage time is significantly shorter feels misleading and makes the promotion much less of a value than it appears. Based on this experience, my husband has no interest in returning, as he was very disappointed with the service and felt it did not meet his expectations.
