Abby cut and colored my hair. She did such a great job! I noticed that when she cut the back of my hair she sat down at eye level. She didn't have her phone going, and she wasn't chatting with people. She gave me 100% of her attention. I felt so great when I walked out. The salon is busy. I tried to call and get information on a Formaldyhyde free Brazilian blowout the girl on the phone told me they don't do it but when I went to their website, it says they do offer it so I texted Back and she said she would check and get back to me but never did so I called the next day only to be told They needed to book a consult before they could book an appointment not a problem, but I said so that I don't have to take off two days of work and two separate days could you book the consult and the appointment right after they refused. I've had this procedure many times before ..I know it can be done on my hair and it takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Evidently they don't need the business that badly very poor customer service. read more

I saw Jean for a cut and partial hi light. I love that as a professional, she made recommendations for my hair so I could achieve what I wanted. Many times I have stylists who ask what I want and make no recommendations if that makes any sense. Anyway, she was great. My hair looks so pretty! Things I didn't like. Return calls/ texts weren't timely. I was offered water, but feel like for the prices there I should be offered more than just water. They upcharge for using a credit/debt card. I hate that. I used my debt card so it cost me more. The last thing is pay attention to your stylists level and her prices. $75 for a haircut and I give 15% tip so that's over $85 for a 30-45 minute service. If with so many changes I'd recommend, I still think this place is deserving of a 4 star because of the great service I received from Jean. read more

Today, I went to K Bella with long, curly, wild, out-of-control, frizzy hair. I had this plan to go extreme and cut off all my hair in a short and trendy style. I worked with Siobhan. She was so supportive through the process (as with the other stylists at the salon who observed). She did an amazing job and then took the time to help me figure out what to do with such an extremely different look. I would strongly recommend K Bella and Siobhan! Brow lady named Nada told me I need to pray to God for forgiveness among several other things that are so inappropriate that I will not mention after she asked me what I do for work and I answered honestly (adult entertainmen). I was here to get my eyebrows done not have some lady that knows nothing about me judge me. I tried to forget about it but every time I come in it just feels awkward. I never came back for my brows obviously, but was getting my hair done here which was going well but I just can't go here anymore knowing everything that was said to me and the fact that the salon did nothing about it except to tell me what an awkward conversation it would be to have with her. read more

I REALLY needed help with my hair and Rochelle was honest with what could be done without compromising the quality of the hair. She found a better solution and much cuter colors that would actually work with my hair. Hairstylists are very unprofessional and rude. I got my hair done as a bridesmaid as part of a group wedding package and the girl rushed through my updo and it turned out looking like a frizzy bird's nest. Then she told me to wait around for a bit to see if anything needed tweaking, and never made eye contact with me again, just started helping a coworker blow dry her hair...absolutely ridiculous. Part of the package was mimosas and cheese and crackers and it was just an employee running late who went to pick it up at the grocery store...nothing "special" whatsoever, and she didn't even purchase a sufficient amount. I just feel like when you're paying money for a big wedding package, they should at least try to make it seem like they're somewhat prepared and make the bride feel pampered and special on her big day...this place did not do that though. I'd highly recommend choosing a different place for your wedding party to get their hair and makeup done. read more

Renee Fishell is the BEST nail tech ever. My nails look and feel real and I can still pick things up. Renee knows I like glitter and funky colors and she is always getting new polish that is SO much fun. Everywhere I go I get compliments on my nails. My experience with Kristan (co-owner) was so-so. When I walked in the door, I was immediately taken back by the scent of a burning incense/candle. It was so strong that I found my eyes watering. I can't imagine anyone with allergies/asthma being able to sit in the salon longer than a minute without having to leave. Kristan was with another client so I waited while she finished her up. She took the time to do a consult with me and discussed the haircut I'd be getting. Her assistant took me back for a wash and then I sat waiting (again) while she made final touches on her first client. Halfway through my cut, she left me with her assistant to start yet ANOTHER client's hair. I didn't like that she had so many clients at once - I felt that she was over booked and I wasn't getting her full attention. My biggest complaint is lack of professionalism. She spent 99% of the time gossiping with her fellow co-workers or a visiting family member. She spent no time engaging me in conversation whatsoever. I was shocked that the owner of a business would seemingly care so little about her clients. At the end of the day, my haircut was not worth $60. The cut seemed completely overpriced compared to other salons in the area, especially considering the service I was given. read more

Unfortunately, this review isn't going to be a good one. The only reason that K Bella deserves 3 stars instead of 2 is because the actual hair/nail people are awesome. So I first visited K Bella a few months ago to prep for my upcoming birthday. I made a nail apppointment with Renee and things went pretty well. She's a really cool gal, I like her a lot and we connected. The only problem that stemmed from that was that the salon overbooked her, and she left me to myself to work on a couple older long time clients. I had no problem with that because I was a very last minute appointment and she showed me her insane calendar. I'm not mad or unhappy that I was hanging out alone while she worked on those clients-I'm a patient person and I fully understand. Like I said, I was a very last minute appointment, and I have no problem accommodating her whatsoever. She's a cool lady. My problem with that is with the salon. Do not overbook your techs! It's not a me thing, it's a common sense thing. Renee (and all the other employees) deserves a decent break with all the people she sees, but she doesn't seem to get much of one. Instead of agreeing to book my appointment, they should have told me she was full and booked me for another day. Onto the next thing. I made an appointment with Heather to put some streaks in my hair because she came to chat with me and hang out for a bit in the nail salon. She's also a very cool lady, and I liked her very much. I didn't do any research when picking a hair person at K Bella, I picked her because I liked her as a person and I had faith in her skills. I was absolutely right to have faith-she did some highlights and funky color for me that came out awesome! My issues with the salon is that absolutely NO ONE other than Heather & Renee seem to give two hoots about me. They're very concerned with their long time clients, but my newbie self is kind of left behind. I'd made an appointment with Renee for July before I was heading to GA for a family thing. I wound up wanting to reschedule because the days before we were leaving got pretty chaotic. So I call the salon to reschedule, and they tell me their computer systems are down thanks to the storms the night before. No big. The problem is that they asked me for my name and number so that they could re-schedule for me later, claimed to have written it down, and then never called me back. As awesome as Renee and Heather are, the gals who work at the reception desk are not. Could I have called back? Of course. But it makes you feel like you're slipping through the cracks when it was them who asked me for my info to return my call. My latest issue is that I called about booking Heather again, and nobody answered. They have an answering system that claims they'll return your call within the hour. Three days later, and nobody has returned my call. Management, I have no idea what you are doing here, but somebody isn't doing their job. More like sombodies, since this has happened to me more than once. I'm going to call one last time to see what happens (I do like Heather a lot) and then I'm not only going to mention it to Heather so she is aware, I am going to ask to speak to management about it. It's exceptionally unprofessional to sweep your clients under the rug like they have done to me. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at this salon. First I had to wait an hour to even be taken to the salon chair (even though i had an appointment) and then the hairdresser laughed at my request. She told me that it was impossible to do what I wanted and that I was basically stupid for thinking it was possible. She then judged me for using box dye previously and made me feel absolutely horrible about myself. Long story short I left with something that I didn't I asked for. I had my hair and makeup done at KBella for my February 9th 2013 wedding. Along with me were four of my bridesmaids, my mom and my sister, who all also had their hair done (and my mom had her makeup done). KBella was very quick in responding to my email inquires and I booked a bridal package that included mimosas and cheese and crackers as well as coffee and tea. They sent me an itinerary of how the morning would go a couple of months in advance which I really appreciated. My hair and makeup trial was about a month before the wedding and went really well! I took a nap in the afternoon and my hair was still in place and wavy! They were VERY friendly and the atmosphere is classy and laid back. On the wedding day everything went according to plan, everyone's hair looked lovely, my mom's makeup was beautiful and my hair and makeup turned out exactly as it had for the trial. My hair stayed in place all night long (I had it half up/half down) and it held it's waves too! That was wonderful. I would definitely recommend KBella for bridal hair and makeup. read more

I went for hair color and discussed at length with hairdresser what I wanted, She colored my hair and it was a few shades lighter. But after going home and seeing it in light. It was not light enough. I called and made a return appt. When I got there. The hairdresser had an attitude and pulled a piece of my hair out and said. We discussed this and you did not want bleach and nothing else will work. There is nothing I can do.or come back for a cut in a few weeks and we can cut some of the coloring off. Well I find that hard to believe that a salon that advertises they are upscale salon and does not know what to do with haircolor? I paid top dollar to have it done and only wanted the front of my hair lighter than what she did. Poor customer service.!! Would not make customer happy. Also another stylist there had a bad attitude too, both times I was there. Walking around and bossing everyone around with an ATTITUDE!!! I will not return here. Renee is THE BEST NAIL TECH EVER! I have been seeing Renee for at least 4 years. She saved my nails from total ruin. My nails were damaged from my overuse of glue on nails from the drug store. Renee educated me on how to take care of my nails and is a master with acrylic. She always does an awesome job and my nails are strong and healthy because of her. She is engaging and a wonderful person. I will never go anywhere else. I went here based on other good reviews, however it was a horrible experience. I asked the lady to do a partial, blonde on top and just leave the underneath my natural color. She only did blonde on the side, so there is none in the back and it looks bad. then she dyed the underneath 4 shades darker then my natural color and charged me for a full color. This is not what I consider an "upscale" salon. There is nothing pretentious here, just good cuts, good color, good service, good hours and the results that you want. Each stylist is an individual and you simply need to find your "fit". I did and I'll continue to be a monthly client. This is a fun salon, always something interesting going on as they are very into new techniques and product. I love that I can go there after work, have a glass of wine and relax. Kate Lanave is my stylist and I LOVE the work she does with my hair. She uses the very best products that produce wonderful results with color - the gentlest of products with no adverse effects. Kate is wonderful and I will stay with K-Bella forever because of her! Also,new to their staff is the nail stylist, Renee - ABSOLUTELY the best nail person I've ever had. After years and years of visiting the 'other' salons where they use the drills on my sensitive nails I was just about ready to give up the acrylics and go back to my natural (unfortunately not very attractive) nails because of how painful it was to get my nails done every two weeks. Renee has restored my faith in acrylics as she does not use a nail but only a gentle file where she removes the old acrylic only and uses the thinnest layer of new acrylic to ensure a lovely, natural long lasting nails - beautifully polished every time.
