I was craving BBQ the other day and decided to visit this restaurant. I was so hungry. Food (1 Star) I decided on the $21 double meat plate. Well, the chicken had an odd smell to it. I did not get sick or anything, but my cousin said the same thing when I gave her a piece. It didn't taste odd but there was nothing special about it. None of the meats had a smoke flavor to them. The brisket was dry as my skin in the winter. My cousin ordered the Texas twinkie and it was hard as a rock. The potato salad is straight up nasty. I don't know for sure, but I do not think the food is cooked at the restaurant and perhaps microwaves are used to reheat the precooked food. Service (4 stars) Bartender was extremely patient while waiting to take our order. Recommended one of the in-house beers. Atmosphere (4 stars) Seems like they have a decent local following. I would go back and sit at the bar and enjoy a beer. But never going back for a meal. Cleanliness (3 stars) Bathrooms are not clean. read more

Came in for some brews and the world cup game. Kind of tucked away in a strip mall. Place is funky inside. Love the dive bar meets brewery meets bbq restaurant. Vibe was alive. Great service and super nice staff. Had a few brews and a pretzel. Was gonna order bbq for lunch but once we took a bite of that house made pretzel and spicy cheese dip we knew we were having just pretzels for lunch. Top 5 pretzel we've ever had (and we are huge pretzel chasers). Beers were ok. Wasn't a fan of the pineapple sour but the peach pilz was great. Will def be back. read more

Within a nondescript shopping center lies this gem of a BBQ restaurant. I was in an annoyed mood walking in and their food turned me right around. I ate the Slaw-ter House sandwich and it was by far my favorite, the crispy onions, slaw, and smoked brisket/pulled pork paired very well with their sweet BBQ sauce. Definitely get the tater tots! They were perfectly crispy. The staff was quite busy and was able to check on us a few times. I'd say my biggest gripe was being charged for a takeout fee (my fault for not checking the bill before paying) and how their BBQ sauce isn't available without asking for more. Next time I'm in Aurora and hankering for some BBQ I'll definitely be back. read more

BBQ and craft beer, an amazing combo. My partner and I shared a double meat platter with brisket and pork links, and also added 2 of their pulled pork tacos (taco Tuesday= $3 tacos). We also got a beer each, the black lager, and the chocolate raspberry porter. Everything was absolutely delicious, down to the sides of potato salad and smoky beans. Interesting place. The vibe is not one that is very welcoming or comfortable to all. The only employee who helped us was very courteous . Take out service took about 20 minutes for food that should already be prepared. The brisket and fries were good. The chicken looked like it had been cut from a freeze dried piece of something that did not resemble any piece of chicken I have ever consumed. The potato salad had ZERO flavor and adding salt didn't help. The baked beans most likely are straight from a Bush's baked bean can just by knowing what Bush beans taste like. Went there on 6/15/25. We got there a few minutes after they opened. They are a restaurant/brewery/full bar. They have about 10 tables, low and high. Then seats at the bar. I don't think they have a patio. We ordered pork tacos, side of tator tots and 2 meat combo (brisket and chicken). Everything was really good. Despite the brisket being a little over cooked, to a decreeing pallet the smoked flavor is full and present. The Mac and cheese is what it should be. Had worse. Dry rub wings I must say again as should be. Props for not over salting. The skidmarks wings"hot wings " not hot at all. More like franks red hot flavor. The spicy bbq for my pulled pork despite having an interesting flavor profile yet again not spicy. Been looking for some good bbq for a bit now. So the hubby and I stopped in this weekend for a bite and a drink. It was a Friday night and inside was loud and busy so I took that as a good sign. We sat ourselves down and checked out the drink menus around the pub. We were greeted and then gave our drink orders while browsing the food menus. I ordered a cider and my husband ordered the Amber. Both were real tasty. We ordered the large hot pretzel and beer cheese for an appetizer and then I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with sweet bbq and the hubby a brisket grilled cheese with both hot and sweet bbq on the side (both came with fries). He liked his grilled cheese a lot but I didn't care for the pulled pork at all. I like my pulled pork sandwiches more shredded and this wasn't and was 75% covered in fat. The texture eater I am could not handle that. I opened the sandwich which I also didn't see any coleslaw on whatsoever, and picked apart what I could eat. I can't say enough about A Bit Twisted Brewpub. Obviously, my first experience was not the best. The owner, taking pride in his BBQ, reached out to me to make things right. He followed up with me regularly to make sure that I could see what their BBQ is all about. 7 months of consistent, professional communication until I finally made it in today. OMG!!!! I will say I am honestly not a huge fan of their beers. The flavors or are pretty bland to me, but I love their BBQ. The Texas Twinkies are my favorite with the cream cheese and brisket filling in a large jalapeno wrapped in delicious bacon. Oh man it is making my mouth water thinking about. I love their ribs. We come here often, but not enough to be considered a regular. But every time we come, the staff is friendly and the food and beer hit the spot. We have friends who live nearby, so it's always a good excuse to stop by A Bit Twisted Brewpub for a beer. Last week, we made the trek so we could attend Disney Trivia night. It was a fun way to spend the evening. We had a few beers, delicious BBQ (the potato salad is the bomb!), and friendly competition answering Disney trivia. Dan from The Colorado Trivia League did a fantastic job hosting trivia. He makes the trivia circuit, and he's one of the better hosts. Amazing! We found this spot on Yelp and I am so glad we came. My husband and I ordered the double meat platters and our little guy ordered the kids chicken tender meal. Our friends invited us to join them for some after work drinks last week, and they had been here before and liked it. It was taco Tuesday which enticed all of us as well. For some reason our GPS took us a weird way through some other parking lots (I feel like coming off the main road would not have been hard). There's a parking lot here and pretty easy to get a spot. This place is definitely lacking ambience. Inside there's a smell, maybe the giant wall of firewood? hops? not sure, wasn't super strong, but wasn't a terrific smell. Aside from the bar, most of the tables were kind of like, old VFW looking tables/chairs, not modern and made the place feel more divey than it warranted. Our server was very friendly and helped some of our group decide what to get. They had one sour on tap (yay) that was kind of a mix between a hard cider and a sour - I enjoyed it. Nice apple flavors. They had some interesting beers like a peanut butter and jelly one, and a pistachio one. I ended up not being very hungry, but did have some bites of the pretzel my friend ordered. Not very impressed - tasted more like bread than that yeasty/slightly sour pretzel flavor. Also wish they had spicy mustard as a choice rather than just the cheese sauce. My husband and friends ordered tacos and they all seemed to really enjoy them. I think they may sell them all the time, but they specifically had some specials with the pork tacos. For cocktails, beer and food, you'll need to scan a QR code which will lead you to the Untappd app and menu. I was here with a colleague and 2 clients. We were there on Tuesday and therefore I wanted to order the Taco Tuesday special of 3 tacos off the menu. We first started off with an order for the table of Loaded Tots which were awesome. No added BBQ meats, but just the standard cheese, bacon, sour cream, etc. I ordered the Bodey Bodhi and Associates IPA from Danico Brewing which was probably one of the best IPA's I've ever had. Very smooth and easy to consume. Street tacos are pretty cool, but not very easy to savor. They're compact and go down too quickly. My colleague and clients had the Texas Twinkies along with meat platters of brisket and pulled pork. From what I saw, the brisket was perfect with a very nice smoke ring. It looked like it was very tender. There were no leftovers from anyone. Our waitress was Amber who was awesome. I don't know why she provided us with a discount, but I'm thinking it's because they were either out of something or one of the orders was forgotten. A cool brewpub nestled into a strip mall. It's better than it sounds! Real deal bbq with real deal beer! Popped in at the end of the year with my PubPass. I tried the Saison (served in a pint glass, nice!), and the Black IPA (yummy, deep flavor). The bartender told me they're known for East Coast IPAs (i.e. hazy, often w/lactose). I didn't ask more questions because I'm hazy-ed out. Lots of options for light, dark, and IPAs. I also got a small order of wings. Perfect crunchy outside, juicy inside. I had the house BBQ sauce which was fairly sweet and probably on the Carolina side. Next time I'll try the hot one because I like that profile a bit more. There's a good variety of seating from high tops, low tops, to sitting at the bar. Several TVs for whatever game. When I was there, they had full sound on for a college football bowl game. It created a great ambiance without being overpowering if you didn't care about football. There are 2 bars, 1 for liquors and 1 for the brewery. It's a bit unusual for a small place. We have been eyeing this new brewery for awhile and decided to duck in on a snowy day. Upon entrance, the pub is welcoming and cozy. There are two different bar areas to sit at and tables throughout. Being a game girl, I was thrilled to see various table games to play while enjoying a beer. We were greeted by the brewmaster, whom is very open to chat, asking questions of our taste and making suggestions. We also really enjoyed talking with our server and the BBQ chef. I was really impressed with their choices in beer, and delightfully surprised that in my flight of 4, I liked them all! My two faves were Banana Hammock and Strawberry Blonde. It's cool to see they do a Colab with Launch Pad, as well. Their food is also a nice addition. They smoke the meat there and the brisket was very good. We also tried their wings, and they were fried to perfection. I tried their honey Buffalo and it was hot and sweet all at the same time. Matt, Travis, and Stacy... If I could recommend any place for food & beer, it will always be A Bit Twisted. Matt, Michael & Foreman are the owners of this brewery. They have created such an incredible place! They create the craziest beers, but they always taste amazing. They have won an award for one of their creations. My current favorite is the peach pilsner. Saturdays, they sell ribs, made by Matt. When I say you better get here early in hopes of getting some pieces, you better listen! They sell out of them within 15 minutes. Matt is a master when it comes to the grill and smoker. Best ribs I have ever had. While waiting for ribs, I recommend the loaded tots with brisket or pulled pork. Their street tacos and I could eat a dozen of. The food here is phenomenal. The guys know what they're doing. They host trivia nights as well. This is just a chill, laid-back brewery that is definitely my go-to spot. Even if you don't drink, the food is well worth everything! If you enjoy beer, ask the guys what they recommend. I guess this place has been open for about six weeks now! News to me. Last I saw, it was a very closed dive bar called Night Shift. They've done a great job renovating the area. Very comfortable dining area. The place is brand new and already popping! We went on a Friday early evening and there was only one table left. We both ordered loaded tots - with with brisket, his with chicken. I ordered a beer, he ordered a soda. We could not have been happier with the service - a guy who I can only assume is one of the owners was our server and the pride he had in the business and the food was palpable. Food was very good - loved the smokiness of the brisket and portions were HUGE. Seriously, do a half order or share if you get those tots. Only two (minor) gripes: 1) The chicken seemed pre-prepared. Chef said bird doesn't touch his smoker, and that's fine, but maybe grilled chicken or freshly battered and fried to live up to the quality of the other meats? 2) I ordered what sounded like the sweetest beer on the menu, which said it was brewed with strawberry puree and graham crackers.
