Food is 10/10! Everything is so amazing and cooked to perfection and so full of flavor. The restaurant is large and tables are a little close together but it doesn't ruin the experience. You can't hear the convo of your neighbor which is good. I believe our serve was new because she was a little on the slow slide, didn't know how to use the crumb sweeper, messed up our check, however she was so nice! This place is romantic and a great place to celebrate special occasions. We were celebrating our anniversary and the server/ hostess didn't even ask if there was a special reason we were dining with them, which they have in the past. The table next to us was also celebrating an anniversary and they had put rose pedals on the table for them which is a really cute touch.

Returned to Shanahan's for a dinner presentation in one of the smaller conference rooms. Service was excellent and timed well. Along with bread service, we were given a half portion of their Jumbo Gulf Shrimp Cocktail and a choice of salad. I selected Shanahan's salad, a tasty blend of three lettuces, English cucumbers, tomatoes, honey-smoked bacon, cranberries, strawberries, croutons, and champagne vinaigrette. Our entrée was a 4oz filet mignon with roasted garlic mashed potatoes & creamed spinach. I like my steak medium rare with a warm red center. My steak was a bit undercooked for my taste, more blue rare/rare. To finish off our meal, dessert was a slice of Colorado Clover Honey Cheesecake. It usually comes with blueberries, but due to my allergies, strawberries were substituted. Excellent meal with plenty of leftovers to bring home for another meal the next day.

This is a great place for a date night. We were in Denver for our 15th anniversary. My sister-in-law had recommended Oliver's, but my brother-in-law countered that we should switch to Shanahan's instead. I'm glad I took his advice! We had an early reservation as this was a last minute booking, and I didn't want to sit outside or at the bar. Being Sunday, we opted for the special prix fixe meal. I started with the wedge salad (chopped, per the recommendation of our server), the NY strip, and the chocolate mousse. My husband ordered the Caesar salad, the prime rib, and the cheesecake. We had an order of the asparagus and the garlic mashed potatoes for the table. The food was all excellent and abundant. Those salads were huge as appetizers (I took half home for an excellent lunch the next morning). The wedge salad had a little too much dressing, although I do love the dressing. I loved the heirloom baby tomatoes. My steak was perfection itself, and it was still delicious the next day for lunch. The sides were good. The chocolate mousse was also very tasty. My husband enjoyed all of his food. I tried some prime rib, and it was nicely tender. The wine list is pretty good. We got a 2010 Bourdeax, and it was served with all the required pomp. It was perfect for our meal. Service was excellent. The setting was very nice. I had asked for a quiet table, and that's what we got. It was a very relaxing and delicious meal.

A really good place to get steaks and drinks. Wonderful service to top it off. Let me start with saying I have visited many high end steakhouses all over the states. Most are comparable but Shanahan's is on the higher side. We ordered a couple of steak Delmonicos that came out perfectly medium rare. One of the better I have eaten in a while. The sides could be a little better. Caesar salad was overdressed. The green beans, mash potatoes, and fried calamari were good. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommend.

Tonight friends and I celebrated my retirement. I've been here before and thought it fitting since I had a great time last year here. Food wise and service wise we were impressed. The food came out as we requested as well and you definitely got plenty on your plate. They have a Sunday three course meal that was also priced right. Ernesto our server was very attentive as well. The only downside is that they stopped giving military discounts since when I last came here.

They even have their name on the steak knives!

We came here for my husband's birthday, he loves steak! Probably everyone knows this, but this is something we learned when we were at the restaurant, Mike Shanahan who was the head coach to the Broncos for many years owns this restaurant. In the restaurant you can even see a whole display case in the front with a Lombardi trophy and super bowl rings! We started off with the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio. We absolutely loved it the wagyu was so tender, a great start to the meal. I got the crab and prawns and the Tech tequila to drink. I am always a bit iffy about eating seafood in Denver since it is far from the ocean, but the seafood was very fresh! My husband got the Wagyu Rib Eye Satay. He really liked his meal. Since it was my husband's birthday they gave us a complimentary dessert. The restaurant was very clean. It reminded me of a restaurant that would be in Northern Virginia. I really liked the vibes of it, more sophisticated and elevated, everyone was dressed nicely. I think it is a great place for a special occasion, especially for men. Prices are high, but I thought the experience and food was quite memorable and it make my husband's birthday special to come here! I would definitely come back!

An unexpected treat for an unexpected night out. I cannot say enough good things about David, our server, and ALL of the staff. It felt like they went out of their way to make it a fancy night out for us even though we were not dressed or prepared for the occasion--an impromptu big life event/birthday. The lobster and crab cocktail? Delicious. The scallops? Divine, that buerre blanc was masterful. Ribeye was wonderfully well cooked, cheesy and savory potatoes au gratin. Excellent wine recommendation, and a dessert on the house for my birthday was a thoughtful touch. We will certainly be back for another lovely dinner.

The food was really good. The only thing I didn't like was that the place is so loud! The dining room is like a night club if you are into that type of atmosphere. I like things a little more calm and private if I could have it my way. But the food is amazing! Definitely the best steak I've had in town.

I had really high expectations for Shanahan's, and was really let down. Typically, I've had really good experiences at high end, high price tag, fine dining establishments. Shanahan's missed the mark for me, unfortunately. The food was just "ok", honestly. Not the best steak I've had, the fillet was actually quite tough (I ordered medium rare) and really, very salty (and I'm not a "low sodium" person- I love salty stuff.) For a $70+ steak, I was expecting much The wedge salad was nothing to rave about. It arrived absolutely drenched in dressing. Very little of anything except lettuce and dressing. It was really disappointing. Very small scoop of mashed potatoes and 3 stalks of asparagus. Pros of the wait service: made sure waters were filled consistently. Otherwise- they seemed disorganized and just generally unhappy. I was completely skipped at my table (everyone else had their order taken) and when I went to gently ask the server if I could have mine taken, he snapped at me saying "we aren't done yet" okay, but every single person at my table had their order taken and then I was skipped while sitting right there... And upon coming back, loudly said "yeah, the chick in the white sweater" to the other server while I was sitting right there and I could obviously hear them talking about me. Super weird situation that I can't say I've ever experienced, especially not at an establishment like this. The female wait staff who was helping run food had a horrible attitude. I went to the restroom and upon returning, glared at my soul because I guess I was "in her way"; I said excuse me and quickly got out of her way (tight fit between seats) and she just looked at me like I did something to her. Just a big yikes all around. As a healthcare professional, who also waited tables to put myself through school, this entire dinner was just not it. We take care of you when you're sick; and this is how we are treated in return. I only mention this due to the fact I was attending an educational dinner with my company, and it's not a secret that we are doctors, nurses, and other healthcare personnel in attendance. The poor treatment was disheartening. I've had really good experiences at Ocean Prime, Del Frisco's, STK, Eddie V's. I would prefer any of these establishments in comparison, in terms of food, service, and experience.

Was in town visiting and came here to celebrate a birthday. Service was top notch from our server. Can't go wrong with escargot to start. Bone in aged ribeye was perfectly cooked and tender! Sides are shareable! The seafood tower I felt was a little lackluster for 69/person. Complimentary valet out front. Make reservations.

Always a wonderful experience at Shanahan's. Timely service, moody ambiance, and obviously amazing food. This was the first time I ordered anything other than a steak and I was not disappointed. I had the Chicken Tuscany, this is such a well-balanced dish, I even had leftovers. They're always able to split checks with big parties no problem and the complimentary valet makes the experience that much more seamless. Lifetime customers right here!

We had such a wonderful time at Shanahan's Steakhouse! I love to explore different places but can't beat the fact that you always know what to expect at Shanahans. Even when it comes to little details, such as valet parking, coat check, kind recommendations and deep knowledge of every single item on the food menu and wine list. We got escargot and crab cakes as appetizers, and they were wonderful! My Caesar salad was so filling and absolutely delicious. Chilean sea bass was perfectly cooked and one the best ones I've had in a while. You would expect for all the steaks/meat to be delicious but their seafood is really good as well. I thought the prices were reasonable for what you get. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I definitely recommend it for a special event!

Prime Ribeye - 6/10 - i ordered it medium and it was definitely rare/almost raw in some parts

However, we ended up showing up an hour before our reservation hoping to just get seated and we got in right away. Cassey was our incredible waiter and he made the night very memorable. After learning it was our first time there, he very patiently walked us through the menu and how the restaurant generally worked with serving sizes. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ambience was great and cozy. We sat on the patio and it was mildly windy but it still felt nice being kept away in a corner of downtown. Starting with the appetizers, you HAVE TO get the burrata with some bread. It's the perfect flavor combination with the texture of the bread crumbs. Absolutely delicious. The salad was also a really great refreshing balance with the heavier burrata and bread. It's such a simple salad with the most amazing flavors of pickled shallots, buttermilk dressing, and Parmesan. They truly have some of the best cheeses ever. For the mains, I got the lobster tagliatelle and my partner got the lamb rigatoni. We also got smashed potatoes to share with cheese. Everything was impeccable. I was hesitant to get the lobster dish because it's such a low chance that a lobster dish is actually going to taste as good because it's a very difficult dish to perfect but I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones I've had. The tomato base sauce with celery and chile with the lobster is the perfect combination. I do have to say a DISCLAIMER if you're not good with spicy food it's not for you. It has a pretty strong kick throughout the eating process so do not get it if you can't handle spice. Other than that, it's one of the most flavorful seafood pasta dishes I've ever had. I tried my partners lamb rigatoni and they truly perfected the rendering of it in the sauce and it's such a perfect overall dish with a good serving for rigatoni in general. If you're extra hungry, I would get the cheesy potatoes, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside with the perfect amount of cheese and salt flakes. To close the night, we, of course, got the tiramisu which was very well made. Now, I have been to Paris and actually had it with the best cream on earth so it won't top that. However, it is a close second and probably the best I've had in America. I highly highly highly recommend you try it out. The service is impeccable and Cassey was the best company to have around to talk about celebrations, house of dragon, and having a good night. Thanks for making my birthday a great experience!

As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We have a tradition of going out for steak…read moreevery year, but this time we were looking for something a little more casual than your typical upscale steakhouse. Bastien's ended up being exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere is very old-school and welcoming. We weren't very sure how dressed up we needed to be, so I went with a casual button down and she wore a long skirt which made us over dressed compared to most in the restaurant. We saw everything from button-down shirts to T-shirts, shorts, hats, and flip-flops, so you can feel comfortable showing up however you want. We were seated upstairs, which ended up being a really cool space. With the string lights overhead and the circular room overlooking the dining room below. We started with a bottle of Oregon Cabernet Sauvignon, which was surprisingly reasonably priced for a steakhouse. It paired perfectly with our meal and was a great way to kick off the evening. For an appetizer, we ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts. They were prepared with an elote-inspired twist, featuring corn, onion, cotija cheese, and lime crema. I normally love Brussels sprouts, but this was probably the only miss of the evening for me. They weren't bad, just not something I'd order again. Every table also gets complimentary bread and butter. Nothing fancy, but it's always a welcome steakhouse tradition while you're waiting for your meal. For our entrées, my fiancée ordered the filet, and it was solid - perfectly cooked, tender, and probably my favorite steak of the night. Since it was my first visit, I wanted to try Bastien's signature 10-ounce New York strip with the famous sugar rub. I'm usually a filet person, but I wanted the full Bastien's experience. The sugar rub was fun to try. That said, if I had to choose between the two, I'd still take the filet next time. One thing that really sets Bastien's apart is the value. Every steak comes with vegetables (very small portion), your choice of potato, and your choice of soup or salad--all included in the price. That's almost unheard of at steakhouses these days. I had the loaded baked potato, which was excellent, while my fiancée ordered the mashed potatoes, and they were incredibly buttery and delicious. The value here is honestly second to none. Five stars for value alone. To top off the evening, the staff surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary. It was a really thoughtful gesture. Cheesecake isn't usually my first choice for dessert, and my fiancée isn't much of a cheesecake fan, so I ended up eating most of it--but I certainly wasn't complaining. It was delicious. If cheesecake isn't your thing, they also have other desserts available on the menu, but this one was a complimentary gift from the restaurant. Overall, Bastien's delivers exactly what it promises: a relaxed, old-school steakhouse serving quality food at prices that are becoming harder and harder to find. While we'll probably continue choosing some of Denver's more upscale steakhouses for milestone celebrations, Bastien's has earned a future visit from us. Between the quality of the steaks, the generous portions, and the unbeatable value, we'll definitely be back.

Started with guac and plantain chips that set a promising tone. Most of the group ordered the bison burger, medium, for $40. The meat looked closer to med/rare. The fries were over cooked and cold so we requested different ones which arrived promptly, warm, and softer. Those who ordered steaks or fish were happy! Said their food was flavorful. Overall, I don't know that I would return for the seemingly overpriced food; but would return for drinks and apps.

The establishment has a fun vibe and is tastefully decorated. The live dj was fun to watch and listen to. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and even the wine list. They made great recommendations for food and drink pairings. They were very attentive and friendly throughout our whole visit. The bread that is provided as a starter was light and fluffy. It came with a great whipped butter and olive oil. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was amazing. It was a little spicy for me, but the tomatoes added freshness to the bite. They added a lot of lobster so the price felt fitting. My partner got the Australian steak. The meat was very tender and perfectly cooked. We also got the Brussel sprout which were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. We ordered a chocolate lava cake for dessert which was delicious. The cake was moist and melty on the inside. The berries and ice cream added a lot of flavor and freshness to it. They validated our parking for the garage next door which was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed our visit here

After reading other reviews and checking out photos beforehand, I knew the Colorado lamb was a must-order. It's not something I usually go for, but it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to.
