We were hungry after a morning of travel and trying to get a rental car and this looked like a good option and had something for everyone! Very family friendly during the day with games outside and kids running around. And a kids menu! They don't accept gratuities so prices are a little higher. My husband got a burger and tater tots, my son got the grilled cheese with fries, and I got the Mediterranean spread. We also all shared a pretzel and cheese. Our food was ready pretty quickly, you go up to the counter to order and pick up. I enjoyed my spread, the dips on it were so good! The carrots were slightly dried but not bad! Such a fun spot for the area and the only thing like it in the area. Lots of outdoor seating and games. The area is well shaded so you aren't burning up in the sun. Visited this place while in town for a work conference. It is such a cool indoor/outdoor place and the perfect spot for a nice night to spend outside. There is no wait staff/service outside, so you place your order at the bar or food counter, and they give you a device which buzzes when it's time to come back inside for your food. We ordered a few things to sample but it came and went so quickly I couldn't get pictures. The Fish & Chips were the star of the show, the chips and queso was great, onion rings were tasty, too! There is a large selection of beverages available inside. I also noticed that the place was very dog friendly which is always fun. This is a great go to spot for me and my wife. They have a great selection of meals on the menu. Today I had a Cobb salad and added Ahi Tuna. This beer garden is a fun concept. The yard area is a bunch of picnic tables and fire places. The inside has garage door windows that can roll up. It was probably too hot to have them open today. It was very crowded especially for a Thursday, but there was a company's party. They have 20 draft beers all clearly displayed above the bar so people can choose before getting in line. They also list 13 cocktails on their menu and 10 wines. The bar staff was very busy and quick. They do allow you to order samples. It can be difficult to get their attention when sitting at the bar since the line is in the opposite direction. The beers are pretty interesting; the sour was very sour. Two of the IPAs were atypical - one woody and one extremely bitter. I appreciate that the craft burgers can also be chicken for no additionally cost. I got the El Chingon $11.50 with chicken, Pepper jack, fried jalapeño, pico de gallo, avocado and the Buckley $11.50 is Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, horseradish sauce. Both were good but possibly slightly pricey? They don't come with sides and the sides are $5-12. The El Chingon wasn't really spicy. The jalapeño was similar to those fried onion bits in a can.The food was delivered very fast. There is automatic 20% tip on all orders. This is posted on one door via a small sign. This is said only when getting the bill. There isn't a spot to add additional tip. They may be better off adding 20% to prices and say they pay living wages no tip needed. read more

Had such a nice time at Green Valley Ranch Beer Garden - wish they had another location south of Denver. Such a lovely place, lots of room and space to host large groups. As it was cold, the outdoor spaces weren't being used, but a small part of me wished the outdoor heat lamps were on, so as to invite folks outdoors. That said, I can only imagine how cool this place is, in warmer weather. We had a larger group and sat comfortably at a long table against the garage doors. There are table top games around and provided hours of fun for the littles with us. Thank you! The food and beer selections were great. I enjoyed a few sours and a cider, while my partner had one of his all time favorite beers, the Avery Reverand (hard to find, I might add). He was immediately impressed. GVRBG also includes a 20% service fee, included on all checks. No tipping. This is nice to see, as Denver's cost of living is quite high. It was a great night, overall. Really cool and inexpensive beer garden in Denver, CO. We were in town and wanted to grab a bite to eat so Yelp guided us to this spot. When you arrive to the grounds, you're welcomed with an entire courtyard of benches, tree lights, and tempest fire torches. Couples, friends, and alike are all intimately gathered by the fires to chit chat and laugh over some beers and good food. To the right beyond the gates, there is another yard of adult only games. Not sure why because it's just cornhole boards but there's a sign posted at the entrance that indicates the game area is for 21+ guests only. Once you walk in to the actual restaurant, there's a bar to the right offering cocktails and local beers on tap. I didn't have any beers but my boyfriend did and shared that the few he tried were fantastic. There are no wait staff so you order and pick up your own food from the counter. The food menu is straightforward-- nothing fancy or expensive. It's the typical burgers, sandwiches, salads, wings, and other appetizer-like food to pair well with a nice cold beer.
