After receiving a pretty high quote that was out of our budge for window shades for our new build, my husband turned to yelp to find other places to get quotes from. After looking at the recommendations here on yelp, we decided to contact A-Blinds who was rated very highly and had outstanding reviews. My husband gave them a call and was able to schedule a free consultation/quote for that very weekend! We were so lucky to have Jae be the one to come out to do our quote. He is a designer and knew exactly what we were looking for. We were impressed with the sample roller shades that we were shown and were told that the fabrics are all made in Japan, Korea and Italy. Jae also assured us that the white fabric (which is what he recommended for our home) would not discolor over time! He did some rough measurements of the windows in our home and we were pleasantly surprised with the quote he gave us. It was so much more reasonable than the previous quote we received. We decided to go with blackout shades for all the bedrooms and zebra shades for the living room, den and laundry room. Fast forward to our installation date. We were told that the installation could take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours so we were prepared for that. But we were so lucky to have Isaac come and do the installation for us! Having been in this business for many many years, he knew exactly what he was doing and got the job done in about an hour! We were so impressed with his accuracy and speed- he made the installation job look so easy. He had two helpers, Dongjin and Samuel, who were so efficient in helping to unpack all the shades, make sure they were installed in the correct windows, and clean up all the cardboard and rubbish after! We were also pleased to have Jae stop by during the installation process! At the end of it, our house looked amazing and the shades were everything and more than we were expecting! Quick response, efficient service and quality products were my criteria for selecting blinds. A Blinds met them all from the onset of my inquiry. Jae was easy to talk to about our needs and understood our sun conditions and lifestyle. He suggested several options and had samples to show us the differences in material. We also appreciated his recommendations on possible design options for other parts of the house. As promised, the blinds came in within the two week period and we were notified by their office that two installers would be by on the scheduled day. Their office also called to say approximately how many minutes the installers would be arriving and how long they would take. Upon completion, the courteous installers cleaned up the area and left the room spotless. The day after installation, I noticed some indentations on three panels, took some photos and sent it to Jae. The next day, I received a call from the office asking for a final walk through. Jae arrived and explained that for at least two weeks, we needed to keep the panels down so that the fabric can "settle down" according to the temperature and air movement. He said if we have further concerns to give the office a call because they stand behind all of the products that they carry and install. With Covid and everything going on in our world today, I think I/we all need a little bit of change! So enter A Blinds. Their blinds are just so so pretty and unique. I'm always on the hunt for handcrafted products, particularly if they have a clean and simple aesthetic that goes with everything. Although I haven't made a decision on any orders as of yet (I tend to be indecisive), I can definitely say that their prices are so much more affordable than all the other brands I've seen. We particularly love the transitional shade look and are hoping to invest in them soon. The reason I'm able to say these things even though I haven't purchased yet (sure, you may call me shameless), is that their attitude is so easy going and kind! This is a great blind company. First of all, their product is of great quality. We were looking for blinds to help climate control in a room that heated up so much due to the many large windows. We had several other blind companies come by, and no one else offered us the type of product that A Blinds has. Jae was great to work with and explained that their material reflects UV rays which is what causes the heat to enter the house through the windows. Other blind companies didn't have this material; their blinds only blocked the light out, not the UV rays, so they wouldn't have made much difference in terms of cooling down the house. Daniel and Ray were the installers that came. They were respectful and did a very good job. If we needed anything, even after the installation was complete, Jae was very quick to help us. It is really interesting after I ordered, Ive noticed the color is continuously changing from light to dark grey. I called for a free estimate n got an appointment with Jae the next day. He came on time with samples. I liked how he explained n demonstrated what his product does i.e. block the heat from the sun yet being able to see the outside view n I could feel the difference. He recommended a color choice n why based on his knowledgeable concept from a designer's viewpoint. Choosing from so many different options was made so simple. My blinds were installed 2 weeks later. It was not an easy install requiring leveling placement of rollers for multiple ceiling to floor glass panels but installers Daniel n Tim did an exemplary job. After we were told by a few Blind shops that the repair was not available to the dead motor of the motorized blinds and after several handymen mentioned to us that the replacement of the motor of the motorized blinds is not their expertise, we were not sure what were the remaining options we had. Then we went to A Blinds at International Marketplace, and we think we met the right person. A Blinds came to our home and brought back the dead motorized blind. A few days later they came back to us with the alive motorized blind. We just moved to a new home and needed blinds asap. We got blinds from them last time so I called and got an appointment set for that day! Josh was very professional and courteous and helped me pick out the best type of blinds that suit my house. My house is built in the 70's, so it made complete sense that he was measuring every corner of each window and told me that the windows are all slightly uneven but he said rest assured that he'll make sure the blinds will look very straight, and will be parallel to the windows next to each other. He was aware/careful of the things I would've never known if I had gotten my own cheap blinds from Home Depot. The turnaround time was incredible!
