We were walking by the International Marketplace after looking at the yelp. Khibeen was helping us through samples and we decided to get an estimation. Jae and Daniel came by and we decided to go with the Aether- Multi botanical series Japanese shades. Our home being on the top of mountain, we had botanical theme in mind. A week or two later Daniel and his helper came by to install our window treatment. They came on time exactly @ 10 AM! Okay, so I walked in their store at the mall thinking it was a dinnerware store while I was shopping at IMP. Looked like they've got some fancy plate and porcelain sets if you look from their storefront (note they have a different name for their signage - SOM ). They were actually a shade company that carries shades and blinds that are made with high-quality fabrics but also carries some of the high-end brand dinnerware at this location. I actually had a home that recently has been renovated and was needing new window treatments so I got more info on that from them. The sales staff seemed very professional and were very confident about the quality of their products. They said they get the materials from many different countries and places and their factory and HQ are based in California. For the shade that I chose for my home, I decided to go with the modern, minimal design one they had, which was recommended by Jae and Dongjin. Price-wise, it was reasonable because I thought it was going to be more on the expensive side since the quality was really good when I looked at the sample they had. Yes I had quotes from few other places as well but I chose this place over others because they gave me the best price. From placing orders to installation, Dongjin came to install with his helper. He was very professional in getting the shade to be installed perfectly. It looked just fabulous and the color really brighten up the room with the nice ambience. Check out the photos I posted. I found A Blinds through Yelp after going through couple different vendors for an estimate. My new condo has diamond head view which is beautiful but I needed protection from the strong sun and heat. I received the quotation from Jae and Dongjin. They recommended the energy saving metal sunscreen shades. After getting different quote, I decided to go with the motorized energy saving shades with A Blinds. Their price was very competitive but the quality seem significantly better than other vendors. Finally, they came to install the shades after 2 weeks and I was more than astonished with the color and finish on the product. The room was noticeably cooler as I no longer needed to keep the air condition on. Also, they installed a special hub that allowed me to control my shades automatically through my phone. This was the coolest feature I found. Ahey helped me program the shades so it moves by itself during certain time of the day. Dongjin was extremely helpful to get me setup with this cool feature. I requested for an installation of a curtain rod from A Blind. Jae responded and gave me a reasonable quote. The installation time as perfect. When my curtain rod did not arrive in Honolulu because of the holidays, I asked Jae if he had any curtain rod in stock. Luckily he found one, so my installation time was as scheduled. This is our second time dealing with A Blinds. Stan took excellent care of us for our home in San Diego. Now, Jae is doing the same for our condo in Honolulu. The recently installed heat reflecting roller shades are top notch in quality. I noticed the difference right away. I can run my A/C on low-economy mode on a hot sunny day and the room remains cool. My experience with A Blinds was just absolutely beautiful experience from the start to finish. We were looking for shades in our living room that has a view over a Japanese Garden. For years I know I wanted to cover it with the shades but nothing came to satisfy what I wanted to put there. So with free estimation I decided to call and have one of their technician and designer stop by. Jae had many choices of shade but really help to nail down into one or two choices. This was very easy to choose from for someone like myself. I decided to go for the Sashiko weave fabric knowing that I love the Japanese culture and art. The Sashiko pattern was something I was introduced when I visited Kyoto, Japan. After about two weeks or so, the team Daniel and Jae came back to install the Sashiko shades. I say this is one of the most elegant shades I have ever had in my home. Its definitely a museum level quality and it made the overall ambience of my house into a royal palace. Discovered A Blinds through Yelp after researching several other vendors. We have a condo in the Kakaako area with a view of Magic Island and Ala Moana Shopping Center. Needless to say, we wanted to be able to enjoy the fantastic view and at the same time being able to black out the light at night. Jae was very exuberant and with his artistic views and total knowledge of his merchandise, recommended the Japanese Komorebi series Vettiveru-Missoni Design, Ivory, Stacked Luminescence Blackout - white with Italian Phantom2.0 motorized. The overall effect of the blinds is so rich looking, and in addition, the Italian motor is so quiet that it's hardly noticeable when the blinds are drawn. From the time we contacted Jae till the time of installation was a little over 2 weeks. Once we selected the blinds, he was on the phone with his California factory to put our order through. Both Jae and his assistant, Dong Jin, showed professionalism, friendliness and was very respectful of our questions. They did a great job in cleaning up and removing our old blinds.
