That's not at all what I got. Bertina, my stylist, was AMAZEBALLS! She started out with the Aveda salon signature head massage with scalp oil. Then I got a massaging wash and conditioner. My new cut was the best cut Ive ever had!!! The staff was incredible and I WILL BE GOING BACK TO BERTINA. She was professional, attentive and she listened to exactly what I wanted! This salon is clean, cute and cozy! Heather is so sweet, very patient and definitely knowledgeable. When I drove by and saw the BLM signs in the window I knew these were some down-to-earth women. I found Heather on the Haircation website since she is certified in hand-tied extensions (if you're a Habit Salon follower, you know the deal). Heather gave me my DREAM hair with her extensions. I've always had thin, flat, lifeless hair but with 9 hand-tied wefts this miracle worker gave me Disney princess vibes!! So glad I finally gave this place a chance. The price for an awesome cut and dye job was only $80. I was treated pretty close to princess status. Asked if I wanted coffee, magazines, etc...typical stuff but when the HAND MASSAGE came into play, I was blown away. It was so nice!!! My scalp got rubbed for a while too when I was getting shampooed and I loved every second of it. The ladies there were all pleasant and I didn't feel out of place at all like I have before at hair salons. They really seem to care here. I think I found my new home! read more

I am so sad that I am not following the popular vote on this one. Last October, (yes sometimes it takes me a while to review) I was looking on Yelp to find a good hair salon for my sister. She had just gotten a new job and I wanted to treat her to a new haircut and some pampering. After reading all the reviews, I felt Cre was the place to go. When my sister called to make her appointment, she had a nice long talk with the nice lady who answered the phone. She felt really confident that she would have someone cutting her hair who would listen to her needs and expectations. So, off she went... She said the "experience" was nice. The stylist had a consultation with her prior to starting and my sister was able to tell her exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately, the stylist didn't listen to her. She had asked for it to be cut much shorter than she had it. When the stylist finshed the first time, my sister said that it looked like it had been trimmed. So she asked the stylist to cut it shorter. The stylist took about another 1/2 inch off. Again, my sister asked for it shorter. (She was expecting 3-4 inches off at least when she went in,) The stylist cut another 1/2 inch off and my sister finally gave up. She told me that she felt like her stylist wouldn't even listen to her so what was the use in trying? The cut was nothing like they had discussed during their consultation. Had the stylist explained to my sister that *1 maybe it would be too short, *2 she didn't think the cut would work for her, or *3 had she cut it a few more inches, I probably wouldn't have been upset. However, when I saw my sister that evening, it didn't even look like her hair had been cut. I wish that my sister would have had the same experience as everyone else. I don't know if it is because she was put in at the last minute, if the stylist was having a bad day, or if there was a miscommunication. I was really disappointed because I was looking for someplace I could go regularly but because of my sister's experience, I have chosen to continue my search. read more

Since I was not able to go to my stylist in SD I was a lil scared to entrust my locks to someone new but I am glad I took a chance. Salon is clean, organized and priced right. I suffer from male-pattern baldness and needed all the help I could get. Bernita did a superb job. She knew exactly what I wanted without much explanation. Bernita is gentle and knowledgable. I've been a customer at Cre since they opened and I will never go anywhere else. All the employees are so sweet and kind, you feel like you just walked in to see your friends. The salon is clean and fresh, you can tell they take pride in their salon. Heather Lynn is my go to girl and she is wonderful! She listens to what I need, remembers things about my hair and eyebrows, gives excellent advice and always invites me to come back if there is ever something that needs adjusting.
