I agree! The teachers are wonderful but unfortunately for them they have a very unprofessional boss. She is all about money. She has lost my check and waited two months to tell me I still owed. She charges more money than she should when dealing with DHS. She claims children were in attendance even if they weren't just to get more money from DHS. She is not very friendly either, especially towards the kids. Every time I was there she was always in her office! Never greets parents, students, or staff members. I would not recommend this center. The Antioch location is the in reference. read more

Everyone working inside the facility is great, however there is a 3 week cancellation policy where you are suppose to pay full fees even if the child is not attending the center which is unheard of. There is a miscommunication between the staff inside the facility and the staff working from home (the owners). The center Director is awesome, very sweet girl, however the owners of the business seem uncaring in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're already having a hard time trying to afford childcare, you will overpay at this facility. read more

I dont have kids but i would NEVER recommend this place....i have a friend who worked for them she asked for better help and she was ignored then got told she is to stressed for the job....my friend has been in daycare for 13 years and this place made her cry...they dont care about their families which they call clients...they care about money...the director is unprofessional to. read more

Parents BEWARE! We have been using A Child's Place for a little over a year and we are very dissatisfied. I very rarely leave a 1 star review but this place earned it. Major problems at this center as well as other Childs Place centers. Very unprofessional, problems with confidentiality. Staff talks about other families and their personal information. Issues wth staff taking pictures of children with their own personal phones/cameras. Lack of supervision causing instances of my children getting injured from others from not following proper procedures. Very poor communication and terrible management. Many problems with billing and "losing payments" and being asked to pay more for their mistakes. And the owners?.. Wow!! Terrible way to run a business. They do NOT care for their customers. They only care about themselves and also share confidential information. Not personable and never accommodating. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Overall I would NEVER recommend A Child's Place to anyone. It has been nothing but a bad experience and terrible child care. Surprising they are still in business with all the other stories I've heard. read more

I would NOT recommend this daycare. The staff is not very professional, including the owner, Francine. You are supposed to give a 3 weeks notice before you take your child out of the program. I called twice and sent an email, neither one was returned until I called a third time. By this time an additional week had already passed and they still charged me for an additional week even though I had proof I had emailed them a week prior. I would expect better service, specially from the owner considering it is not my fault the staff cannot give a message or she cannot check her email, but I was wrong. She was completely rude about it. If I need any before or after school care program in the future I will definitely never be using them again. read more

The director here doesn't know anything about caring for the children and especially how to help with the children that need more 1 on 1 attention. I know that they make the staff do a ton of lesson planning, curriculum work and observations to look good and professional but in reality, they don't care what the teachers do or if they don't do anything at all. I've also seen the director and assistant director sitting in the younger classrooms gossiping with the staff about the parents and completely ignore the crying babies. There's also a staff member in the infants classroom that's always yelling at the babies! I'm glad that she was never my daughter's teacher but it always made me feel so bad for them. They don't care about the development or education of the children. The owner, Francine is very rude and always blames everything on you. She focuses on being cheap to save money rather than providing the quality care for our children that we pay for, which is way over priced. The children are constantly being bumped around from class to class causing the children's schedules to mess up because of the lack of staff. They make it look like they know what they're doing but it's honestly a nightmare in here! read more

I agree with others here when it comes to the owner, Francine. Totally unprofessional. She's very improper and so is her husband. I found it very discerning that the owner bad mouthed her director in one of our meetings. My husband and I were so disappointed to find how terribly run this business is. Their "accounting system" is probably one of the worst I've seen. They re-billed us in late April for discounted services that took place in October and December. After accepting our discounted payments in Oct. and Dec. with signed paperwork that they ended up somehow losing they decided to put our account in past due status 6 months later. This ended up being a very ugly and difficult situation for my family. Yes we questioned them. Yes we argued back. Yes we stood up for ourselves. We even received an extremely long email by Francine's husband at 2:00 am one night telling us we obviously have never ran a business before and found other ways to puff his chest at us. Very arrogant and obviously very immature. That's when we realized perhaps our daughter was not in a safe environment and made the conscience decision to pull our her out of that childcare facility. That there was enough to tell us OK...these people only care about one thing...themselves. I found them to be very basic people with nothing to offer intellectually for us and for our daughter. They are simply predictable people. Must have the last word type people. Dishonarable. I would not be surprised to see a response to this.Yes this place is more affordable than others...but you get what you pay for. read more
