Don't get mixed up with the Corner 20 Cafe on Main Street Unionville. This one offers a lot more variety and staff is much friendlier. We went to Corner 20 Cafe by mistake, and the staff didn't greet us or seat us, and their menu was ultra limited, and so was parking. So we left. A Corner Cafe here, by contrast, is right on Hwy 7, has strip mall parking, and the staff is much more helpful. I really like their menu variety. Their house made coconut milk pancakes is a MUST-TRY. The solid about their coffee too. This is one of a very few brunch places the are will ventilated. They even serve dinner. Will come back and if their food quality and service level sustain, this will become my regular hangout. read more

When we were there it was around 115pm and the place was pretty empty. The fried chicken and waffles was pretty good. It's super crispy and the herbs and spices mixed were well together with a little bit of heat to the chicken too. However, we had a plate with avocado in it and the avocado wasn't fresh at all. It was super black. I knew it was due to oxidization but to serve an oxidized avocado??? It's nasty even it tasted the same as the not oxidized one. The taste is important but the look is also very important for the meal. We look and smell at the food first before we eat, this is how important it is. If the plate looks bad, the overall experience becomes poor. I don't think we will go back again but it's a place to try once... read more

We came here from a reco from a friend and I was skeptical...came along because I figure my "Guai-lo" hubby would enjoy the "white" food ( I prefer Asian cuisine when in Markham). EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious! The pasta was cooked perfectly: not too al dente not mushy, the sauces Pete perfectly seasoned and hugged the pasta lovingly! Portion size seemed "small" but in retrospect was great snack size and was best way for our party of five to share all the dishes family-style. Our first round of order included: waffle and chicken, pork bowl, shrimp pasta, salted egg chicken wings and fresh Vietnamese rolls (pork). All very yummy and we felt like we could eat more so then second round consisted of: waffle and chicken, beef bowl and meatball pasta. Every dish has good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection! We were also quite happy with the variety of drinks from bubble tea to specialty coffee to smoothies etc. Bright, clean, no frills and they even have shelves of board games and magazines, which means they welcome you to hang out there! Had the fried chicken Benny .. chicken was good but everything else was kinda bland. It's also weird that they use a slice of white bread instead of English muffin for the Benny's. Nothing to write home aboug. This place is not as busy as alchemy or platform. So it's a good alternative for Sunday brunch if you don't feel like waiting. read more

We came here on a weekend morning thinking there will be a lot of people. Luckily there was no line up. The interior decoration looks clean and it was comfortable sitting at our table. The menu is small with very little selection. We ordered chicken waffle, standard breakfast (sausages, eggs, bread, fries). The bread for the chicken waffle didn't really match and go well together. We have notice they try to use same type of bread for all their dishes. The ketchup and sugar is at a station. For my coffee in a cup, I end up need to bring the cup to the station and get it. I find it very inconvenience and sometime coffee might get drip on the floor. They should have ketchup and sugar for every table. With so many brunch places open in the nearby area, they need to make improvement in order to compete. read more

I went with a group of four friends on a Friday night. We wanted a cozy spot for a good dinner where we could also stay and chat for a while. A Corner Cafe was perfect. It's a cute place with comfy booths and wasn't too loud. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was amazing. Everyone raved about it. We each ordered drinks (my friends got the mango and the strawberry smoothies and both were delicious). I got the avocado smoothie and was worried it would be too heavy, but it was light, creamy, and just the right amount of avocado flavour. The majority of us got the chicken and waffles dishes, and it was SO GOOD. The chicken was perfectly crispy and so juicy, the salad was nice and tart, and the waffles were so light and fluffy. The dish was HUGE and we were all stuffed by the end but couldn't stop ourselves from eating. I brought mine home and ate it the next morning, and it was almost as good as the night before. After a long week of work, time to chill with friends and play board games! I love visiting cafes that have board games! Such a fun place to eat, chat, and relax with friends! They've got a variety of brunch, dinner, dessert, and drink options too. I ordered the oreo & chocolate waffle. The waffle was freshly made, warm and crispy. I will rate it as 3.5 stars overall. We knew it is newly open so wanna get it a try on Sunday. The decoration is not bad when we firstly entered, but we realized the servers are pretty new and not very working proficiently. The server forgot to give us menu until we asked after 5 mins wait. We ordered a small brew coffee ( sm/me/lg size to be selected on menu), it was served in a big mud but half full, i guess they ran out of the small cup. They left the coffee and didn't say anything, we were guessing if they forgot the milk/cream, so we asked after the the other cappuccino came, they told us the milk are available on the self-service table at the corner. After about 15mins, our orders of egg benedict came, when we almost finished, another server brought two meals over and asked if we ordered them ( turned out they messed up with the next table). Since it's Motherhs day, gave us rose for each lady. Nice to take pic, but the rose doesn't look very fresh . So for the service, I will give them 3.5 star. The servers are friendly but need more training. The kitchen is abit slow. Food:we ordered small coffee and cappuccino substitute with oak milk. It's a fresh idea for me to try oak milk. The drinks are good. We ordered two benedict, chicken / bacon & mushroom. The tasted is good but without surprise. Fries are abit too oily for me. One egg is overcooked. Price is $15 for each. Went for breakfast with DD. Pros: clean space, reminds me of a nice and modern home, friendly and welcoming service with a smile, good food, tidy restrooms. Cons: seemed a bit short-staffed (it appeared that our server also prepared our meals along with 1 other staff member), while food was good, it wasn't exceptional, food was a bit pricey for what it was. Had lunch around noontime on a Sunday, the place is quite empty until we started eating. Egg benedict is very tasty and the portion is generous. Even they didn't ask how we like the poached egg, it came perfectly soft and runny!! We paired the egg benedict with fried chicken. The chicken is crispy and yet juicy. You can also taste the hint of spice. It also comes with greens salad and French fries. The dressing is a bit too much. Also ordered an iced latte which is pretty nice. My 7 year old niece and I were starving and waited for 20 minutes for an order that was never put in. Meanwhile, a group of 3 came in and was ignored for a good 5 minutes before they seated themselvs at a table that's still not cleaned up. Another couple came in after and was immediately lead to be seated to a cleaned table while the previous table of 3 waved for service and was still being ignored. My niece had a music lesson to take soon so we had to leave (still starving) and ordered take out from the congee place few stores down and quickly eat in the car. I'm so disappointed in my experience as I had high hopes for my first time, being recommended by a friend. We went for brunch on a Saturday: I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict with a matcha latte and my partner ordered an iced coffee with a shrimp omelette. My matcha design was cute but it tasted purely of milk and a faint taste of matcha. The eggs benedict tasted SUPER buttery that I felt discomfort after I ate it. The best part of the plate was the fries. I can't speak for the shrimp omelettes taste but the presentation looked like an after thought; it was just a small skillet on a plate with a random side of greens. Service was subpar. No one came to check up on us and we tried multiple times to flag down the only one waitress working there but she seemed frazzled. We got take out boxes and she just tossed them on the table and gave us our bill. Overall, not a great experience and we won't be back. read more

I'm so glad I came across this place! First thing you notice when you enter is how nice the interior is! It has a really cozy, yet modern feel to it (if that if even makes sense). I went on a Monday afternoon and was seated promptly. After flipping through the menu and thinking really hard about what to get, I settled on the Fried Chicken Benny and WEW.... No regrets here.
