This was the reason I visited the store today. Vanessa also informed me that Aveda is changing its skin care product line, and she should know the results in December. She said she would inform me of any changes and if any of my favorites were being discontinued, she would let me know so I could "stock up". Now that is great customer service! Also, I noticed the sign at the front counter stating "American Express was no longer accepted" was missing. (During my last visit three weeks ago, the receptionist confirmed this per the sign.) I asked Vanessa about this, and she stated she is accepting AmEx again as she discovered this was the primary credit card for so many of her customers. Now, that's listening and responding to your clientele! Vanessa was working the receptionist station today as she is looking for a someone that is mature and has some professional experience as a receptionist or a salon team member to take over this position. I came in for a root touch-up, left with orange roots, and even more concerning, I experienced significant breakage in areas that shouldn't have been touched during this service. When I reached out to discuss these concerns, the response I received was defensive and dismissive. Rather than taking the time to understand what may have gone wrong, I was told the breakage must have been due to something I did at home. For a $482.66 service, I expected more accountability and an open dialogue about what might have happened, as well as how future issues could be prevented. English: This appointment was made for me and the quote was $45. I arrived on time and I was only supposed to be there for a quick wash, a small trim with face framing layers, and a dry. I just wanted my hair to look the same as the last time it was cut and KEEP THE LENGTH. The wash took over an hour, the cut was made too short and my hair was thinned out. My scalp was burned multiple times when he was blow drying it, and every time I would say it's too much he was cutting he would continue to cut more and more. I lost 4 inches of hair today. I attached a photo of right after I got my haircut 3 months ago and what this man did to me. I told him multiple times that I didn't like how it was looking and he told me that sometimes hair stylists know what's best even if it's different. I told him that I have naturally curly hair and he insisted that I didn't? How does he know better than me? I think this is extremely disrespectful to a customer that came to spend their money to not get what they ask for. I feel robbed. He made me feel bad for speaking up and I felt bullied by this man with the curly grey hair. He was one the phone the whole time with one of his friends, and was rude to me. I walked in, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and was offered a drink while I waited. The girl that was supposed to cut my hair never showed up, but Larry saved the day!! Larry immediately took charge of my hair, recommended a good haircut for my type of hair, and worked his magic. He cut my hair the exact length I wanted and styled it to perfection. He even taught me how to style my hair and the do's and don'ts of using a diffuser. I am usually not a fan of going to the hair salon. But this experience really made me feel so comfortable. If they cancel same day, sucks for you. Kristen's response was it wasn't her so it's not her problem. She used one strip of hair extension. Added tape instead of more hair. My hair is now completely ruined and falling out. This photo was two weeks after the service and the glue is breaking my hair. I do not recommend this salon.
