this just isn't a reputable business, they don't put customers first. I've had a slew of bad experiences with my first package, crew not arriving on time (or at all), crew not completing jobs but marking them complete, crew not following my directions. In May, the HOA board for my community retained A Cut Above landscaping to take care of our grounds. We were impressed by the company's emphasis on their dedication to quality work. They also featured several employees that had worked for ACA for several years. We were looking forward to having an ethical company take care of our landscaping needs. Unfortunately we were mistaken. What we received was a company with very poor work ethics. Lawna were mowed unevenly, if they were mowed at all. In the contract ACA said weeds and debris would be removed. They did not follow through on that commitment. They neglected to talk with the board about some areas where the sprinklers weren't working. These areas had been watered last year. They said they would provide progress reports after each visit. They have not done any of this. The management ignores requests from the board to discuss and manage these problems. It has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Our HOA board does not recommend that any community even consider hiring A Cut Above. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. First, the guy in the office took my payment. After that, I couldn't get a hold of anyone to start service. When someone finally came out for the very first time they did a poor job of mowing and broke my sprinkler head, which I had to replace. Last year we used A Cut Above to fix a broken sprinkler valve, do a clean-up, and also our winterization. Upon activation of our system this year the valve they repaired is leaking again. The office staff continued to push off my husbands request for service for over a week saying they were "awaiting windows". After I called and pointed out I could book a sprinkler audit online and saw appointments for my zip code (they required payment in advance, which I felt was extremely inappropriate given we are experiencing an issue likely due to improper winterization.) After I asked to speak to a manager multiple times, we were able to get an appointment one week earlier than the windows I saw online. I appreciate them trying to accommodate us, however, we were given a window of 7-12 for their arrival with a shorter window to be confirmed the morning of. They confirmed 8:15-10:15. When they didn't show up at that time I called for support and I was told 11:30. When I asked why the discrepancy they said they would have to contact IT. The service window they told us is now closing, and they have yet to arrive. For a company that has a tag line of "take back your time" they have not shown to save me any time what so ever, in fact I have wasted hours trying to hunt them down to fix something we paid a substantial amount of money for. I have asked for a manager to reach out to me multiple times, and other than one voice mail that was apologetic, I have received nothing further. read more

Have been using ACA Landscape for a couple of years. They were highly rated and did good work. Last fall they did my irrigation system winterization and blew off several heads from too much air pressure. When the system was turned on this year I had several valves that were cracked from freezing and leaking badly flooding the valve boxes because the water was not blown out properly. Now I am unable to use my irrigation system. I called the office to have them come and repair their screwup. As stated in prior reviews all I received was resistance and deflection by the staff answering the phone. I have yet to receive a call back and it has been 1 week. This is unacceptable. Not much else to say other than the owner Jason Hoke has lost complete sight of the customer in his bid to expand. What was once a highly rated sought after landscape company is now a deceitful money grabbing entity who could GAS about anyone but themselves.The office people George Maria, and Monica are flat out liars. The day of the scheduled appointment I received a call that they could not make it out because it was too cold. Fair. Completely understand. They couldn't reschedule until four days later. I have used this company the past 2 years and they do a great job! They make it so easy to book and pay for services online. You won't forget either bc two days before service you get a reminder email, and on the day of service you get a text when they are on their way and a "completed work" email confirmation as soon as they leave. They are also super responsive to support emails and give you step by step instructions on how to protect your sprinkler system in the event of a fluke cold weather snap before they are blown out. I will use ACA in the future with complete confidence. read more

Used this company last year for sprinkler winterization and had no problems. This year I made an appointment, and nobody showed up while I wasted my day waiting for them all day. I called the company and the person who answered was extremely rude and told me they would have called me this weekend (a day after the appointment) to tell me it had been changed to the following Monday, which would not work for me. Terrible! This is my recent experience with A cut above ACA landscaping. I ordered their aeration and introductory mowing service that comes with edging and blowing away the grass clipping. They were out this past week to aerate and mow my lawn. In the process of either mowing or aerating my lawn, one of my sprinklers heads was broken down to the pipe, my lawn was never edged and have grass clippings all throughout my rocks. When I called to ask if they can come out to complete the edging service I ordered and fix my sprinkler I was told that they are not responsible for the damage they cause and this is in the fine print of there confirmation email. Now I have to hire and pay someone else to fix the damage ACA Landscaping caused to my sprinkler system. read more

I used this company last year to winterize my sprinkler system and didn't have a single issue. Fair prices. This year is a whole different story however. I made one appointment and no one showed. I chalked it up to maybe I didn't fully complete my appointment even though I thought I had. Make another appointment for a week and a half later. Two days before I verify that they have my appointment scheduled and the time. It's a five hour window. 7-12. At a quarter to noon I call to ask if anyone is coming and am told they are running "a little late." Receive a phone call from the person I presume would be the one actually showing up to the appointment. Says they will there around 1-1:30. At 1:30 I try to call their number again and no one answers. 15 minutes later they call back and say they are 20 minutes away which at this point could mean much longer considering how their time estimates have gone so far. I cancel as I've already dedicated my entire day to waiting on this company. I don't know what has happened to this company between last year and now but it's nothing good. I will definitely never be using this company again. read more

I've been in my home for 5 years now and ACA has been who I call for sprinkler/yard services since my first summer. I have used them to turn on and off the sprinklers, power raking, install drip lines in the garden. The guys that come out are always very courteous, helpful, clean (take off shoes before entering the house). I've recommended them to a number of friends. Don't use this service unless you want them to perform services on the wrong house, then have BRETT threaten you, then when you respond he says "say it to my face", then your number will be blocked. Apparently BRETT can't read a clearly posted address, and will make every excuse necessary about why he was unable to find the house. read more

I was scheduled to have my sprinklers looked at (I had a busted sprinkler head and needed spray-pattern analysis). Appt was from 12-3pm. Sprinkler guy Adam calls me at 1pm that day and says he can't come out because of weather; duh! it was raining all morning and afternoon and he calls me at 1pm?!? He said he didn't have a phone to call me earlier. Really? Then tells me the soonest he can come is 14 days later. I don't think so. In my opinion, he had poor customer skills with me.
