I walked into a very warm and family-esque environment, sweet ladies, conversations back and forth, was really surprised that this place even existed. Its a hidden gem off the corner of Rt 1, not much to look at immediately, but a traditional mom and pop kinda salon feel when you walk in. I arrived early, my hair-dresser finished up a little late, was in no rush so I was completely understanding. She listened to my concerns about getting a trim, cutting the dead ends off. She decided it was easier to do this after washing and styling and doing a dry cut. I trusted her expertise and went ahead with it. The wash was a bit rushed, there was an odd smell from the sink area, though I imagine it was because of the hair-dye that was lingering in the salon (it's a small place.) She conditioned following the wash, I didn't get a deep conditioner treatment but didn't make a point to say anything out of courtesy. She followed up with taking me back to my seat and immediately started to tackle the blow-dry in my very thick long hair. She did style is beautifully, she cut some of the ends off, she suggested my hair was in rather decent shape and didn't need much. I accepted her opinion, she was very polite and kind, and she finished up and offered some nice suggestions on how to close up my split ends. I closed off my tab with the Groupon, gave her a $10 tip and went on my way. Overall, not a memorable experience, I felt the whole thing (minus the hair styling portion) was rushed, I didn't get the deep conditioner which would've really been nice for my thick hair, and lastly, I could've honestly had more trimmed off my hair. She said it didn't need much, but when I got home I saw and felt the straw ends that really should've just been cut off. I'm going to have to wait a little bit and get a proper cut to make sure the dead ends are off. They're all very nice people here, I imagine they're amazing at their craft in different areas, my experience isn't necessarily a reflection on poor service, more-so could've just been an off day or maybe just bad luck with my hair.

It helps to feel informed. At the same time, this is art, and sometimes decisions evolve in the chair and the process is labor intensive, but so worth it. What I experienced was dedication. At one point I had two stylists working on me. They adjusted things based on my comfort level and what I wanted. I felt listened to. The entire salon was warm and accommodating and fun! It feels good to laugh. There are people there for all different reasons and no one felt out of place the salon has private rooms for discretion if needed. Starting with so little hair, I truly did not expect the result to look so much like my natural hair. But it does it's amazing! For the first time in a long time, I looked in the mirror and saw myself instead of what I had been through. I will absolutely recommend this to every woman struggling with hair loss it did more for my mental health than I think an entire year in therapy did. Noelle is serious about her craft. I went and got bayalage and my 1st calligraphy cut with Alex and loved it! Alex really listened to the color I wanted (unlike previous hair stylists) and finally gave me the bayalage I'd been looking for for years! I'll also never cut a regular cut after a calligraphy again! My hair is very thick so calligraphy thins it out, keeps it soft, and finally gives my hair shape. I've seen Alex twice now for color and cut and will keep going back! She is fantastic. I'm also excited to try out getting my makeup done there next week as part of their Valentine's Day special. NV the Salon is so close to home (Medford), close to the city yet don't need to deal with the hassle of parking. She used products and performed services on me in addition to what I had scheduled without informing me of the prices, or even asking if I wanted those products or services. This tacked on at least $100 in additional fees, coming out to ~$400. My hair came out stripey and uneven. It's been about a month now, and it looks like my hair hasn't been touched up in three months. I have attached a photo of what it looked like 2 days after the service.
