    Keratin bonds that ate through
    Maggie C.

I really don't like leaving bad reviews but after I saw what happens when you put keratin bonds in your hair I felt it's extremely important I make everyone aware of it ! First , I found this salon while researching places for my spouse to get extensions, the price was steep but I wanted to make her happy... She was quoted $1,100 but these girls in this salon are hustlers !! They will tell you one price then once they have you in the chair they'll up charge you once the job is practically done !! Second , they cannot dye hair !! Whatever type of dye they use turns your hair orange. The stylists dye hair with keratin bonds in the hair which destroys your natural hair! I have attached a photo of my partner's hair after it was removed . Lastly, the stylist changing prices for services you already had prior . For example, if you get tape ins at $700 when you go back trust and believe it will be $900 for the same exact thing ! Like I said early on , these girls are hustlers so be sure to ask 1). The total cost upfront 2). How many pieces per pack so you don't get hustled 3). Give your hair a break because this salon wants your money so bad they'll keep installing extensions that rips out your hair ! They do not care about your real hair ! They rather destroy it then put extensions to hide it! I regret sending my partner here ! This salon is just terrible! I wish I could give it 0 stars . PS : notice how no one claims to be coming here for years ?!! Read the reviews, it's all people who come here a few times ! They do not have long term clients . PPS : They say a picture is worth a thousand words so take a look at the picture I attached

I have been seeing Yodit for tape-in extensions which are great and last a long time but heard about the veil extensions and wanted to try it. I tried a sample before the pandemic shut down and they lasted all the way from March to June without twisting. No glue. No damage to my hair. The best part is you can actually put hair up in a ponytail or bun without the tugging and showing seams. Love it! I feel like a beautiful woman. This has boost my self-love and confidence so much. Thank you from the bottom of my

I received a Nift card for $30 off a cut and color and Noelle's. I'm not always a fan of the choices Nift offers but Noelle's has been on my radar for a while as my step mom used to rent a chair there after she and my father sold their salon. I came in around 5 on a tuesday night and Tseday helped me decide on a nice color. I didn't want anything drastic, just wanted to lighten my face up a little. I told her in the past I've done red highlights so she went and mixed a gorgeous color for me. It came out as a red-ish/auburn hue which is just what I was looking for. She washed my hair so thoroughly and it felt amazing. She then gave me just about a 1" trim which was all I was looking for, and then took the time to beautifully blow out my long, thick hair. I'm so pleased and will definitely be back.

I went to Noelle's years ago and had a great experience. I went back mid March 2021 to get bonded extensions for my wedding. I immediately loved them but about a week or two later I noticed something was wrong. It looked like I had lice or dandruff and the bonds were showing. I thought it was normal until my hair artist for the wedding day began doing my hair. She was HORRIFIED to say the least. We talked the next day and she advised me to call Noelle salon back ASAP and get them taken out. You can clearly see the "bulbs" or follicles that are white and pulled out of my hair. That should never happen and can lead to permanent hair loss. I reached out to Aurora and showed her the pictures and she said that was "natural hair fall." Bull shit. I'm not dumb. After getting this response I decided to not go back to Noelle's to get them taken out purely because I was afraid of them doing MORE damage and charging me for their mistake. Not to mention I was quoted about $500 dollars by the owner when I initially reached out about an estimate. The day of I was charged $1200 which is quite a difference. I get no estimate is exact but come on. These people do not care about your hair or making things right. I see the other reviews that were negative and then replying basically telling the customer that they tried to Rectify things but who wants to go back to a salon that butchered your hair !? Please save yourself time, money , and mostly the health of you hair.

Aurora is absolutely a miracle worker with color! I came in with a botched attempt at vivid color and she turned it into something beautiful. 10/10 absolutely recommend!

Yodid does my extensions and they are always amazing! She did a hair piece for my mother and it looked fantastic! This is a great salon and they are the best for thinning hair and can really help.

I basically have two layers. Shorter layer is very blunt and the bottom I don't even know. It just goes in different directions

Edit: received a call from the owner of this salon who had wonderful customer service. I really do appreciate the resolution and will go back for my next haircut. I went to this salon last year on a whim to get a pixie cut. I was a bit scared because I've had terrible haircuts since i moved to Boston (almost 6 years ago) but surprisingly I had a great experience and cut. So naturally when I was ready for another cut I would return. I don't know what happen this time. I saw the same stylist and right off the bat it was a different experience because she didn't talk to me and mostly cut my hair away from the mirror so I faced the person next to me. I figured it was probably a long day for her so I didn't think much of it. I came in for some shape in my hair since when my hair grew out it was starting to appear mullet like in the back and my bangs had grown out. I have attached 2 pictures of what I asked for and the pictures of my hair yesterday (day of cut). I'm pretty disappointed and didn't realize how strange it looked until I got home and was able to inspect with my glasses. Hopefully it will grow out

What is this mess the hairdresser created?!

HORRIBLE!!! Save your money, time and effort and go somewhere else!! I showed the hair dresser a photo of a hair style I had done on me 3 weeks ago at a wedding (so I know my hair can hold that style) and that I wanted it recreated - and she failed miserably! At the same time, she was juggling 2 other customers. Highly unprofessional and complete lack of one-on-one care that you should expect. She seemed totally disinterested in me as a repeat customer. At the same time another girl was there to get extensions and they did not inform her that she had to bring her own extensions and then they offered her some random ones that they had which needed to be colored first to match her hair. Very disappointed and would never go back.

Noelle and hear team of stylists completely turned my life around. I was suffering from such significant hair thinning and loss after losing weight and a thyroid problem that I had cut it super-short. I went from ugly short to traffic-stopping bombshell hair in one day. I am not kidding, I actually not only stopped traffic, I also had people randomly stopping me on the street telling me how beautiful I was. This is not typical for me! I first had a formal consultation with Noelle, where we planned out everything, picked out the hair, and scheduled the date for about a month later. I worked with Suzy for my highlights, and she did a great job matching them perfectly to blend in with the extensions. Then Noelle put in the extensions and trimmed them to blend in with my hair. It was a real privilege for me to have Noelle do my hair, it is obvious that she is the best person around for extensions (both for quality and price). All the stylists there are nice, fun to talk to, and professional. After the extensions were in, I received detailed written instructions on how to take care of them, and a "check-up" was scheduled about a week later to make sure everything was ok (it was great). Because my own hair is very fine, my extensions tend to last about 3 months. This varies for each person based on a number of factors. I recommend this salon to anyone. The process takes planning and thought, but if you are considering it at all then this is the place to go.

Took out the tape extensions and replaced them with strand by strand.

She has been cutting, styling and coloring my hair for over 20 years and I've yet to ever be disappointed. She knows exactly what cuts and colors will look good on me, and her suggestions are always the most flattering. When she first starting doing my hair, I was only 13 years old, and it was very convenient that she was located in the same town I lived in. As I got older I moved about 30 minutes away and refused to look for a closer hair stylist. The travel for me was worth it. And her new location, though farther away for me has not deterred my insistence that she be the only one who touches my hair. It is very conveniently located only a few minutes away from her old locale. She has done everything from perms (when they were stylish) to adding gorgeous blonde streaks to my otherwise dark hair to cutting off over 10 inches into a fantastic bob. Every time I leave there, I feel fantastic. She styled my hair for my wedding and I'm still receiving compliments on gorgeous my hair looked on that day. Paula never rushes through a cut or style to get to her next client. She will step back and analyze her work so far and see if there's something she can do to make it even better. As for my appointment yesterday, it was my first trim in about 6 months, just a wash, cut and blow-dry. Nothing fancy, but when I left, I felt amazing. On my way home, I had to do some errands. Well, I received two compliments from an employee and customer at Whole Foods. As well as a "Wow, your hair is so beautiful!" from a random stranger in Target. Maybe I'm too judgmental? Maybe I have a different set of expectations? Here is my story... I took a chance after reading so many positive yelp reviews and purchased a Groupon for a full highlight, deep conditioner, cut and style. I called to make an appointment and left a message. I waited three days. No call. I called back and left another message. Two days later I get a voicemail back to call them. I called AGAIN, this time got someone in the phone who said she would call me back and they didn't. If I hadn't already purchased the Groupon, I would have moved on, but since I had already paid for this, I was going to use it and now I'm already skeptical. I called again, spoke with someone and made my appointment for a mid week, mid morning appointment. My appointment day comes, I get to the salon 20 minutes early. They seemed off guard by this, but I was always told to come early for an appointment, especially when trying a new place. I also didn't know who my appointment was with. They told me the appointment before me was late so they may take me earlier. Ok, I have a seat and enjoyed the high energy music. They busy themselves on the computer. No one else is there. 15 minutes later, Jessica introduces herself to me and we get going. I'm quickly informed that toner was not included (aok) and it was suggested that I use a processor to cover my grays for $45. I declined and she went to mixing. When she came back, she suggested doing highlights and low lights to better blend for $20. I agreed. I appreciated her advice and it was totally a great move! Jessica was friendly and personable. The phone rang a few times and she would stop what she was doing to answer it. I have never been to a salon where someone would stop working on your hair to answer the phone or to chat with a sales guy who walked in. That was just weird. Soon I was ready to cook. Jessica said they got a new steam chair that she wanted to try on me. She fiddled with it, said it was on and then went back to the computer. After a few minutes, I asked if it was on since I felt or heard nothing. Francisco came to check on it, and sure enough, it wasn't on. Once it got going, it did feel nice and I can see the steam heat did wonders. I was under it for a while, and when I started to feel drips, I asked her to come check on me. At that point, I was done and ready to wash, style and dry. The place is clean and comfortable and they really know what they are doing. Like I said, the end result was probably one of the best colors and styles that I've had, just the process to get there was a little off. Maybe they were having an off day? I'd like to try them again and see...

My African American hair was previously highlighted dark brown and red and was past my shoulders in length. I wanted a shorter style and a complete color overhaul. I showed Gina a picture of jet black hair with subtle electric blue highlights underneath and asked her to work her magic. I was a little nervous that my difficult hair would make the task impossible, that it would come out the wrong color blue, perhaps green, or wouldn't be the bright, edgy blue that I desired. Gina highlighted my hair, put in the jet black dye to get rid of my previous highlights (while avoiding the new highlights - talk about tricky!), then washed it all out before applying the blue to the highlighted pieces. There was no need for nerves because Gina truly understands how to achieve color perfection and does so masterfully. Needless to say, she did a fantastic job and I was thrilled with the beautiful results. I loved it so much that when I went back again months later, I asked for more blue and an even shorter bob. Visit #2: First, Sharon washed and conditioned my super curly hair. Then, Gina took the time to section off the oh-so-many pieces for the full foils required to lift my unruly black hair to blonde .. and I have A LOT of hair. She then cut my curly locks and applied the blue dye. After several washes (thanks Sharon!!), my hair was dried and flat ironed to get a better look at the final color and style. LOVED the color, but I wanted some adjustments on the cut. Any girl with curls knows that a cut can look quite different after straightening and Gina's no stranger to this reality. She meticulously shaped the style I wanted, giving it movement and dimension. Bottom line, Gina puts her clients first, LISTENS to their needs, and delivers. She's realistic about what's possible, is honest about what's required to achieve results, and does consistent, exceptional work. Gina has great attention to detail and really cares about whether her client is pleased. (Did I mention she gave me a second cut, no questions asked, just to make sure I was happy with it before I left?!) I am very happy with my hair. After years of going from stylist to stylist (from Newbury St to Cambridge to the South End, etc), I am so glad that I finally found someone as experienced, talented and affordable as Gina.

Gina is a great great colorist! She uses the best products for your hair. She's a very nice and…read moresweet person. Her helper is great as well! -The salon needs updating. -Parking is great. The price for my partial high lights/low lights and cut was very pricey. More then when I did it on Newbury Street in Boston or any place I've ever tried. I wish I would say I'll come back but ... not for that price.
