This time, I had some extra time on my hands and decided to do a deeper dive into Twigs at FAI. Of course I ended up focusing on the nice stuff under the "lock and key" displays, some of it running into several hundred dollars. I happily ended up with a more modestly priced walrus ivory Billiken (a mythical good-luck figure who represents "things as they ought to be."). This is a favorite carving figure in Alaska, even though the original idea came from a Missouri art teacher. This time, the gift was for me. The good folks at Twigs wrapped it up nicely for the journey home.

It's on the smaller end and I only found one or two things that match with my style a bit better, but I loved looking around. I think I would recommend this place if you had more of a vintage style. I didnt see any guy clothes, but this place would be fun to bring some girlfriends to and shop around. They have several curtains in the back to make some dressing rooms if you want to try things on. 4 stars simply because the selection was smaller and just not my style and I was mostly ignored during my venture throughout the store. Their clothes are quality, the gals in there are super friendly, and the selection is awesome! It is kinda spendy, but again, you are buying quality stuff! I walked out wIth a blazer, sweater and a pair of shoes for just over $300. The *only* downside to this store is it's location. If it was more convenient, maybe I would have stopped in sooner!
