I was jerking around. Gripping the massage table for dear life. Making facial expressions normally reserved for childbirth and exorcisms. At one point I'm pretty sure my soul briefly left my body, looked around, and went, "Yeah, I'm gonna sit this one out." And listen--I HAVE A HIGH PAIN TOLERANCE. I like a solid medium-pressure massage. I'm not asking to be lightly dusted with a feather while Enya plays in the background. But this was f*cking GUANTANAMO. I even very politely asked him to lighten up. He graciously said, "Okay." Did he lighten up? ABSOLUTELY THE F*CK NOT. If anything, I think he interpreted "lighter please" as "Sir, you have yet to access the deepest layers of my skeletal system. Please continue." By the time I left, I didn't feel relaxed. I felt like I'd survived something. I now need a massage to recover from my massage, except unfortunately this experience has made me afraid of massages, so I guess I'll just remain tense forever. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for myself and 3 girlfriends. At the time of booking, I made it clear we had not decided on services yet and wanted to choose when we arrived. The night before, they called and left a voicemail confirming us for 90-minute massages, which was never agreed upon. I immediately called back and clarified that we were still coming, but only wanted 60-minute massages and would choose our exact services when we got there. They confirmed that was fine. When we arrived, I signed us in and specifically wrote "combo" because I was interested in their combination reflexology. Before my massage even started, I clearly told my masseuse I wanted the combo reflexology, and she acknowledged it. However, the massage I received was not reflexology at all there was no foot soak and barely any foot work, which is standard at every reflexology place I've been to. On top of that, during the massage they were extremely pushy about extending our sessions another 30 minutes (making it 90 minutes total). I was asked twice, and all 3 of my friends were also pressured to extend. We all declined. At checkout, I noticed I was being charged significantly more than expected. When I asked, they told me they gave me the "combo body massage" instead of the "combo reflexology." That was never what I asked for. Instead of taking accountability or trying to correct their mistake, they did nothing. To make matters worse, their tipping system feels very uncomfortable and aggressive. They present tip options starting around 30-38% and hold the payment screen right in front of you, creating unnecessary pressure. Overall, the entire experience felt disorganized, misleading, and focused on upselling rather than customer service. I take responsibility for not being more confrontational in the moment, but not everyone is comfortable speaking up, and businesses should not rely on that. I left feeling taken advantage of, and unfortunately, they've lost our business. I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience.
