Hit the spot! This place is just what I was looking for; quick quality takeout! My husband and I were in the area and someone local recommended this place for lunch. I ordered the "stagestop" which is a sliced roasted chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce, onion and barbecue sauce sandwich served on a braided scali roll. It was great! Not too big and not too small either made with quality ingredients. The sauce tasted homemade and not really like barbecue but I really enjoyed it! This has become my favorite local sandwich shop. Quality sandwiches and wide selection of meats and love the scali bread that the Pilgrim is served on. Honestly almost always so with the Pilgrim with mayo and cranberry sauce, excellent sandwich and made fresh in front of you or you can call ahead. I need to try more of their sandwiches but have also tried the Arrowhead, so good. Super friendly staff and they make some really good baked goods to accompany the sandwiches if you're hungry. I honestly cant say enough good things about this place! My friend and i were driving by and stopped in to get a quick sandwich and there were so many amazing sandwich combinations with such fun names! The ambiance of the place was fun. The sandwich i had here was hands down 5 stars. Both of us have been talking about how good our subs were and cant wait until the next time we are in the area to try more menu items! Have been coming here for years and don't think Ive ever had a bad experience. I typically get the pilgrim or the brooksmill and they're always fantastic. But with any sandwich their rolls are spot on. Yesterday they had clam chowder and had to get it. It wasn't as thick as I would personally like but made up for it with how flavorful it was. Stopped in this afternoon on the way back from a local craft fair. What a hidden gem. The decor and whole vibe is very country store and funky and the employees were all exceptionally kind and overall very happy to be there. The menu was unique, everything sounded amazing, and the quality of the food was excellent. I had the Mkenzine ( ham, Gouda, lettuce, tomato's and stone ground mustard) with added mayo an pickles. Soooo yummy, forced myself to eat the second half ,well after becoming full, because it was that good. Kate, was awesome and super helpful. I wanted to purchase a quiche but didn't realize it was set aside for a catering order. She was very sweet, told me about her favorite which is named after her, and said to call and she can make any kind I want. 10/10 experience. Finally stopped by after years of contemplating it. I got a hot pastrami sandwich and my husband got a turkey gobbler. The hot pastrami was delicious and the bread they served it on was super soft. I see alot of people say how the sandwiches are large and most people eat only half. We actually met a guy out front who was eating a sandwich and he was saying how good the sandwiches are and he was bringing half home. Is it bad that I ate my WHOLE sandwich all by myself!! My husbands turkey gobbler was good but it would have been over the top IF the stuffing was warmed up! The only thing I would recommend for this place is to clear up the clutter. They have alot of old lunchboxes and they sell some other items but it's confusing, is it a store or a food place. Plus cleaning up the old lunchboxes would make it look cleaner and feel more presentable to eat in there. Yes I would totally go back when craving a good sandwich. Today after reading reviews about the hot pastrami sandwich I decided to give it a try. It was okay, not the worst for the South Shore. Living on the South Shore for the past 30+ years I still can't find a good sub shop, maybe I was spoiled growing up in the City (Boston) with so many great sub shops and deli's. They used pastrami round and heated it in a microwave but the braided roll was the best part. Next I'm going to try Haymarket South in Marshfield it is owned by Lambert's in Dorchester and Westwood and they have a great pastrami sandwich at both of their locations. read more

My go-to sandwich is the Pilgrim which is perfect year round with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce and I throw some mayo in there too. Incredible sandwich served on scali bread. So happy I found this place as I used to work in North Quincy and was a regular at the famous Montclair deli which offered a similar sandwich but to find it done this well is hard to find. Prices are fair, especially for the extremely high quality food and service. We had opted for the backyard barbecue option with green salad and fruit salad. Their cook, Ryan, was prompt and cooked all of our food to perfection. We had plenty of leftovers too! Oh, and the homemade vinaigrette dressing... my family is STILL talking about it.
