extremely disappointed with the silk press i received from Mona, if you are someone who doesnt get your hair pressed often I highly recommend you go to someone or somewhere else. $125 for your hair to be straightened with a regular flat iron that you could do at home. If I had knew any better I would have asked for her to use the micellar iron. I woke up the next day and it looked like a blow dry. I received a press from another girl at the shop with a micellar before and it looked great day 2 and did not turn out like this at all. It lasted me almost 3 weeks. And yes, i wrap my hair. When it was brought to Mona's attention she basically said oh well that she is on vacation and my hair swelled so she cant do anything, which i understand but there was not even an attempt to see where we could meet in the middle. very disappointing, i would book elsewhere in the future, save that coin. and instead of seeing where we could reach a compromise i was met with the response of "you were smiling when you left" read more

I don't appreciate the braider putting the synthetic hair in her mouth, and then attaching it to my head. I don't know where her lips been, and I don't know what she does. I got my hair cut and styled here on the 8th of November. I waited a couple of days to leave a review to make sure I was still in love with my new hair. And I am even more pleased now than I was when I was leaving the shop. Mrs. RAMONA is a God-send. Even though I came towards the end of their operating hours she was very friendly and took me without complaint. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to hair. My hair hasn't looked or felt this healthy in about two years. When I say she is highly recommended that is an understatement! And let's not forget her colleague Mrs. Gina, she is so personable! When I say they are the perfect duo and they make for the perfect salon experience, I would not have chosen anyone else to leave a smile on my face. Mrs. RAMONA works wonders with weaves as well. The client before me was gorgeous when her weave was done. And Mrs. GINA works wonders on natural hair doing silk presses and dreadlocks. I am so beyond pleased. I have mature locs for almost 6 years old and I was at the point of cutting my hair completely off due to not finding a bona a fide loctician that new the proper ins and outs with my hairs needs. Upon arriving I was immediately acknowledged (you would think that all salons would do that) and was whisked off to get washed and conditioned promptly. After feeling Shermaine out I silently prayed that her hands were just as good as her brain was regarding my hair and proper maintenance to achieve the look that I wanted.
