I almost want to gatekeep this spot--it's so good--but the local lover and supporter in me won't let me! Don't drive too fast; you will pass it. The parking lot is small. The inside is a decent size with tables and chairs. It was clean, and it smelled so good. I loved the murals on the wall and the authentic feel. Our service was great. The food. The food. I ordered the empanadas, chicken and beef. They were perfectly fried and seasoned so well. The roasted chicken was deliciously flavorful, and that roasted crisp from the skin was on point. The rice, the beans, the pork.. listen, every single thing was full of flavor and so darn good. I enjoyed my meal and cannot wait to go back. This may be the best Puerto Rican food in the Midlands.

Wonderful small restaurant with Puerto Rican soul and flavor. Popped in for a quick lunch while in the area. Cheese stuffed yuca balls were hot and delicious, served with a creamy tomato sauce. Pernil pork sandwich was huge fresh and hot. Service was prompt with a smile. In and out within 30 minutes to keep my schedule - would like to have stayed longer and tried the yummy looking desserts! Ps. A++++ for being a Coke restaurant.

A hidden gem, literally you'd never know the flavors you'll get by just passing by but A Fuego 787 was phenomenal. Went during lunch with a previous coworker who recommended this place and let me tell you! Service was great, the food and drinks came out pretty fast and the flavor though I'm not super familiar with Puerto Rican food was out of this world. I got the skirt steak with shrimp and it came with 2 sides, I went with the half savory, half sweet mofongo and plantains because I always need plaintains. The shrimp were delectable, cooked to perfection and the steak was a perfect medium rare, the mofongo was amazing and the plaintains were perfections. The pina coloda too was so good! Literally finger licking good, I tried a few more Puerto staples which I don't know the name and those too were phenomenal. I can't wait to go back! Oh and with the meal ask for the garlic sauce on the side you'll thank we later.

Came here with a group of friends during lunch break and even though it was busy, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food tasted authentic and the portions were huge! I had the Bistrami sandwich--it was massive and really satisfying. The sweet plantains were perfectly cooked and delicious. My friends all enjoyed their meals too. Great value for the portion sizes, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes!

A Fuego 787 is a must go-to restaurant in the Columbia Area! The food came out fresh and hot while the service was friendly. The Puerto Rican flavors and seasonings were perfectly balanced. Would come here again!

when i tell y'all i was automatically transported to my grandmother's table when i ate here, it's not an exaggeration! this is a small, mom and pop establishment that delivers on flavor and an authentic puerto rican experience. went here for lunch at noon and beat the crowd because by the time we left at 1pm it was slammed. there's some dope puerto rican decor around the restaurant that almost takes you to the island. the staff are super friendly and attentive. the food was hands down as real as it gets. got the beef empanadillas to start and they were perfect. the beef filling was savory and flavorful. we dabbed some hot sauce on them and it took it to another level. also had the creole shrimp which is one of my favorite dishes. this is literally my favorite thing that i ask my grandmother to make and they absolutely delivered! the mofongo was fresh and great as well. parking is tight so get there early but when i tell y'all that i can't wait to try some additional dishes i am not exaggerating. i'll definitely be back!

First time NO COFFEE....waitress laughed and said coffee machine broke. The food was served cold and bland; nothing special. Waitress never came around to see if we needed anything. Finally had to get up and go to counter to ask for assistance. Twice now the waitress either ignored us or was blind to us being there. Second time our food must have sat out waiting to be served and was cold and obviously dried out. Waitress was too busy chatting it up with another table, served three other tables that came in after us, talking on phone all whilst we sat ignored and waited ...watched ....waited ....waited and waited while our food sat waiting to be picked up and brought to our table. Absolutely unacceptable. Waitress needs training.

Unfortunately, this visit just wasn't it. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere, which was fine. A server came by to take our drink order, only to let us know they were out of both drinks we originally wanted. No big deal--we pivoted. But then my sweet tea came with Splenda and no spoon to stir it, and silverware never made an appearance at all. What really sealed it, though, was the service--or lack of it. Another server spent close to 20 minutes chatting with a table about something completely unrelated to the restaurant while we sat there unnoticed. During that time, three separate parties were seated after us and were promptly given menus, silverware, and attentive service. We were never checked on again. After sitting there watching everyone else be taken care of, it became pretty clear we weren't going to be served that day. So we got up and left. I always hate sharing experiences like this because I truly want local businesses to succeed. But service matters just as much as the food, and sadly, this visit missed the mark entirely.

The establishment is is spacious and they have tables both inside and outside and are decked out in USC pride. I can totally see this being a college hangout spot. The menu is never ending and it's soooo hard picking which bagel sandwich sounds best because soooo many sounded good. And then after you pick your sandwich you have to pick your bagel! Do yourself a favor and look at the menu before coming in so you already know exactly what you'll try. Since I came with a friend we decided to to try two different bagels and the staff here were nice enough to cut them both in half to make it easier for us to share. The bagels were messy but you could tell they were freshly made and so good! We ended up sharing the ridgeland and neighborino. I loved them both but I want to say I loved the neighborino a smidge more. While living here this will definitely become a regular spot and prices here were more than fair for the portions and freshness.

Whenever I'm traveling locally I check to see if there is one in my path. We were on our way to Columbia for a trip to the planetarium so we stopped on the way up for Lunch at Sully's. When I first discovered them, they had a sandwich on the menu called The Heater, the last place I went to was familiar with it, but this location was not. That didn't mean they weren't willing to make it for me though. I don't know if I ordered it exactly right, but the woman taking my order and I walked our way through it... the sandwich was delicious either way. This time I also got to try The Griswold (Turkey, bacon, provolone, pepper jack, lettuce, bbq & parm-peppercorn) and it might be a new favorite. This location is bigger than others I've been to. They had a bunch of tables inside and a large communal area outside with turf and a bunch of seating. Someone was even having a birthday party out there. Now I want to have a Sully's Steamers bday party too!

I should've really gone to the other store The food is EXCELLENT(hence the 3 stars)! The service is normally ok, as my first visit the owner gave us a run down of the history and invited us back during lunch hour, so of course we honored the invite. I'm intrigued by old stores, but don't try to treat me as though we're back in the day. The men (customers and staff) were okay or at least kept it respectful, but it only took one old lady to walk in and turn the vibe out. She kept staring at us like we had just crossed some boundaries, and the treatment from a few staff members shifted towards those of color, like "yeah whites only". I should've walked out at that instant, but it was just another creature's "attitude" at this point. Unfazed, I waited in line to order, but the old lady kept staring like I was to disappear. The order taker noticed her and proceeded to go around me and took the color-bothered lady's order. WOOOOW, not just attitude but action, I thought. But I wanted my hotdogs and cake so I waited as I made mental notes of the past, the present, and the future. BUT!, when I did get to place my order and paid for it, they said, "he didn't charge you enough", like wait, what? you GAVE me something? NO. I bought this at NO discount. For a hotdog, a thin pickle slice, and chips at 3.95each (which is kid's combo) and 3 cakes at 3.50 each. I paid 20.38., twenty dollars and thirty-eight cents. Like wtf.. how much more do I need to pay for 2 hotdogs and 3 small slices of cake? At this point, I knew it would be my last time supporting this place. It is I, and only I, who chooses who and what I support and THE OTHER STORE is not something I will continue to support as long as they indulge and support such customers' unacceptable behaviors. No hard feelings here, but if you want to serve and respect a "certain people", please put the sign back up and stop accepting OUR support of YOUR establishment.
